It's a good principle, but requires you to secretly count cards in front of the spectator, which I
really don't like.
In terms of the explanation, it was a bit all over the place. This is
both because Juan Luis keeps searching for the right english words to use and because he is a very
passionate magician that goes into many tangents while explaining.

As I've gotten overwhelmed by the number of magic tricks available, I've limited myself to card
tricks that can be done impromptu, with a borrowed deck, possibly even an incomplete deck. This
trick meets those criteria and I couldn't be happier. I've not seen the principle before but it is
clever as hell, reminds me a little of Marlo's forced location. Very easy, no real "moves", and
allows a lot of freedom to riff with the audience as seen in the video.
It is reasonably taught,
though I watched it more than once to be sure I got it. His accent is a little heavy but the
instructions are clear, though I would have liked the name of the technique to be spelled out
clearly.
Very worthwhile, easy, deceptive. Highly recommend.

Great trick!
The principle is brilliant but can be mastered in about five minutes of
"doing it for yourself." No slights- it is essentially self working after a very easy initial deck
preparation, which he shows how to casually do in full view of the spectators. He also gives the
option of adding another "layer" to the final reveal if the chance presents itself.
I
performed this for some work colleagues after they performed a few simple classic "I'll find your
card in the deck" self-working tricks, and this this blew them away because the presentation
demonstrates you couldn't be using key cards.
My only complaint is that while Juan is a
passionate, great teacher, it would have been helpful to have a transcript or subtitles, as his
presentation is heavily accented, and sometimes he hesitates thinking of the preferred English word.
A new routine is hard enough to follow and learn when communication is clear and concise, and it
slows you down a little when you have to figure out if he's saying "king" or "thing."
Still, the trick is very much worth the cost. The above observation is just a recommendation to
consider for future productions by Juan(of which I hope there will be many!).

What a terrific effect from Rubiales. His approach is so fun, engaging, and effective. The
procedure is an old one and easy to apply. The effect is basically self working and the strategy can
be adapted to each individual performer’s style. Well worth the download. I hope Rubiales shares
more with us soon.

An amazingly simple but ingenious principal. I will definately use this.

The principle used is ingenious (not new), but what you get is too expensive :
- The routine
itself, except the reveal, is not new, and almost the same routine can be found at a very low price.
- The presentation is not the best. As it is performed, the spectator can think the cards are
m...ed, which is the first obvious solution you can think about. But it is not the solution.
-
There are other better routines using the same principle (see John Bannon, Mike Power).

Excellent trick, but rather complicated and not so easy to learn. A lot to remember and requires a
set-up, which may not always be able to be done surreptitiously.

The basic idea of the effect has been around for a long time (that was actually mentioned in the
explanation), but it was a great reminder of how these off the beaten path concepts can be reworked.
I feel like the presentation was more of a very basic demo than a full working of what the method is
capable of producing. For a practiced card handler this is a great piece of information that can be
used to fool seasoned pros. (Maybe not with the effect as performed, but with a little thought...)
I like Mr. Rubiales but find it a little hard to understand his instructions you can understand what
he’s saying it’s just I like the why Dan Harlan explains things better he makes everything look
easy, I don’t use this the way he does I use it as a mentalist illusion I think even a beginner can
use this the principal can be used for different Applications
