This is a nice leather wallet. You can use this as a regular wallet. It is barely noticeable in your
pocket it is so thin.
Another six out card index for the same kind of trick is being sold
on penguin as a $50 product. So compared to that, this is like getting a superior, more compact,
more examinable version of the index, plus a leather peek wallet for an extra ten bucks.
My
big complaint is that these gaff cards are a relatively common concept, but they used the absolute
worst way of designing them I have ever seen. There are two other ways I have seen these kind of
gaffs made. What I would call the good way and the bad way. Then what 1914 did was make them in a
way that I would call the very bad way. They look pretty ridiculous.
They went to all the
trouble to get a very unique card stock that keeps the wallet super flat, but then botched the
graphic on the card bad. You have to hold the card in far less natural looking way than you would
with better gaffs.
In fact, when you watch the trailer, they are using Bicycle Maiden Back
cards that are the good style of this gaff. They use better gaff cards in the trailer than what you
actually get with the wallet. You can not display the gaff cards you get, like the way they display
the Maiden Back gaff card in the video.
It is a real shame, because they had a very special
card stock used that is super thin, but also feels really durable.

I don't know why this wallet doesn't have more reviews! The peek is the same as the Razor Wallet.
The peel alone is the best I've ever used. I have the stealth assassin, the Viper, the nexus, and
all the other wallets that offer a peek feature, and in my opinion they don't even come close to the
shadow and Razor peek. The razor/shadow has a full peek, but my favorite part about it, is the
motivation and justification behind getting your peek... It just makes sense. On top of that, after
I've gotten my peek, I place the wallet between the spectators hands (something I would not be
comfortable doing with most other peek wallets). The only thing I ever felt the Razor Wallet was
lacking was storage, only having two card slots. The shadow wallet has everything the Razor had, but
much more storage, AND a built in index system. For mentalism, this is hands down the best wallet
money can buy.

Full disclosure, I bought this wallet using store credit. I know that one's opinion probably changes
when you get something basically for free instead of spending a decent amount of money on a magic
product.
I have to say that this wallet is now my everyday wallet. This is without a doubt
one of the best magic products I've ever bought. If you enjoyed the razor wallet and wanted more
pockets as well as an "any card named" prediction then this is the perfect wallet for you. The peek
is identical to the razor wallet which is good. All you need to do is insure that the peeked word is
written legibly and you should have no problem getting a good peek. It also comes with the
protective screen like the one used in the razor wallet to make the peek even more covered.
The best part of this wallet is by far the card prediction. The cards are ultra-thin so it
doesn't make the wallet bulky. I often forget that the cards are in there. You just need to do a
little memory work to make sure you locate the needed card quickly to make it look like you're not
searching for a card. It is magician's choice, but the way it's done is so smooth. This may be hard
to explain but I will try. The wallet contains every picture card, red and black. This means that
when you first equivocate number cards or picture cards, you can then use that same wording for
every choice after. For example, if someone "picks up" the picture cards you can then "throw away"
the number cards. Now that you have every out available in the wallet you can then use that same
wording to narrow down the card. This makes it seem like a much freer choice. You don't have to
alter your wording every time.
There are 2 things that are important, in my opinion, to be
aware of.
1.) The peek is best used for blank playing cards. You can use business cards,
but it can be tricky retrieving the business card if you stick it all the way in the wallet. The
wallet is just wider that a business card. I just bought some blank playing cards online and that
does the trick. If you'd rather use business cards it would be a good idea to have the spectator
write the information on the very bottom on the business card using a x__________ line so you can
leave the edge of the business card sticking out of the wallet. This will make things much easier
when you take out the card.
2.) The new wallet will leave some black marks on business
cards. This is most likely due to the dye in the wallet. This was a simple fix. I just saw where in
the wallet there was dye and wiped it down a bit with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. This
rubbed away some of the harsher dye that was coming off onto my blank playing cards. This does cause
that part of the wallet to fade, but the part of the wallet I was "cleaning" was in a pocket so the
faded leather wouldn't be seen.
3.) The cards cannot be handed out for examination. This
shouldn't come as a surprise to mentalist who watch the trailer, especially when they see how the
card is being held.
All in all, this wallet is amazing. Dee Christopher and Levis Le'Val
are geniuses and the tutorial video they give you is extremely thorough.

I would have bought the Razor wallet were it not sold out, but I'm glad I got magician's-choiced
into this one. The added 12-out card index means another impressive trick you can achieve, which
seems worth the extra $25, if you're going to be carrying the thing anyway.
The instruction
from Dee and Lewis is great, and they are- let's face it- adorable together.
I am removing
a star because I agree with other reviewers- the index makes it just a bit difficult to slide the
card into the wallet. It is recommended you simply take the card from the spectator and do it
yourself. No spectators questioned this when I performed with it, but it does seem like a weird
design flaw.
(This is my first peek wallet, so I have no idea if something else would
function better).

It’s a razor wallet with a bonus. The bonus is worth price of the wallet.
I wanted a simple
peek. That’s exactly what this is... plus a bonus.
The equivocate used for the bonus is genius.
The price is right.
Now part of my EDC.

If you are looking for a peek or an index wallet, this is a great one. If this is what you need get
one. People have talked about the smell of the leather wallet, but I put mine on my window sill for
about 4 hours and it was fine after that.
There are 2 hours of instruction on the online
video (you cannot download it). While everyone will get something out of this video, it geared
toward the beginner. If you have used a peek or multiple out wallet before, you will find the
instructions to be a bit basic. The reverse is also true, however, in that someone who has never
used a peek or index wallet would be ready to go after watching these instructions.
A great
deal of thought went into the "thought of card to wallet." I have heard it described by 3 or four
people call this effect a combination of Kolossaol Killer and B'Wave. This is NOT an accurate
description. This a version of Kolossal Killer which uses gaffs similar to those used in B'Wave and
or the Princess Card Trick. In short, they are MI cards. The 6 cards that you receive are extremely
thin and well made. I really do not like this version of the effect for several reasons. First it
looks like you are hiding something when you show the card (because you are). Second, Dee
Christopher is a talented guy and I still cringed when I heard him say, "that leaves you with..." In
other words, you can find better instructions for Kolossal Killer. Finally, Dee runs when he is not
being chased by making a big deal showing the wallet to be empty. My advice to you is to watch the
Inferno version of Kolossal Killer and use this equivoque. All you will need in your wallet is the
four Queens. Simply put the QH in the wallet and the other 3 cards in the index. Show the one card
in pocket and... In short, while I applaud Dee's attempt to create a new version of Kolossal Killer,
and appreciate him going to the trouble an expense of creating the cards, I feel that he has missed
the mark with this one.
In short, this is great peek and index wallet and a fantastic
price. You should get this if you need one. Beginners to peek wallets and Kolossal Killer will be uo
to speed after watching this video, while experienced performers might get bored.
Well
made. Good value. Get one.

Like any trick or prop you’ll get better the more you work with.
The peek, I carry the device
in my shirt pocket. So it makes sense for me to put it back in that pocket.
For me I don’t
do the peek and the playing card bonus at the time.
It is now part of my EDC.

I received the Shadow wallet and the wallet was well made and the instructions were very good.
I had never used an index before so this was new to me but the education was simple and
understandable. It is a very good wallet for what it is used for and the peak and the index routine
was excellent.
It has very limited use as an everyday wallet for me but that is ok since I
have given up on finding one wallet that will do it all.
Saying this, I must note that the
opportunities for this wallet are many and I am putting together a routine that will allow me to use
the wallet and carry a trick or two in it as well to tie them all together. I would say it is well
worth the cost and I also admit, I got another in brown real leather. It's quite nice and I do
recommend it if you know how you want to use it.
I do carry it with me every day. Along
with my actual non magic wallet (smile) :)

Hi guys I am sorry I usually leave only nice reviews but I bought the Shadow wallet as the last
top-notch device.. but it's NOT AT ALL! It has 2 routines basically, the routine with the card, it's
fine, ok.. but the pick?! The pick's so obvious that it's impossible if you work for real to think
to use it. I have 30 years of experience and I know how to handle the audience... it doesn't work
guys!
