If you're looking for a deck that contains an assorted collection of various gaffed cards to perform
a wide range of packet effects, this is it. Better yet, it even comes with a terrific instructional
DVD video!
THE DECK: The deck that comes with this product is called The Blue Gaff Deck,
and was first published by Magic Makers as a separate product without instructions, and intended as
a utility kit of gaffed cards for magicians. It is a pretty good mix of gimmicked cards, with all
the DBs, DFs, and false indices needed to perform a wide range of the most popular packet effects
like Wild Card, MacDonald's Aces, Twisted Sisters, Ultimate 3 Card Monte, Princess Card Trick, and
more. There's also some miscellaneous gaffs (e.g. partial red back on blue back, multiple cards
printed on a single card, half 7 clubs & five hearts on face) which you can use to do some fun
routines.
THE VIDEO: The video that comes with this deck is outstanding. It features Simon
Lovell, and has over 2 hours of material. Simon walks you through the explanation of more than 40
different tricks, including all the classic routines for the effects mentioned above. He's a
wonderful and humorous teacher, and this DVD alone makes this product an excellent buy. Some tricks
are fairly straight forward, but most are suitable for intermediate magicians who already have
mastered basics sleights like controlling a card and the double lift, although Simon does also teach
some of the required sleights. It's an excellent "next step" for beginners.
If you're
interested in doing packet tricks, and are looking for a single product that has a variety of gaffs
suitable for a range of tricks, this is probably the best you will find right now, and the fact that
it comes with a terrific instructional DVD is a great bonus. Highly recommended! - BoardGameGeek

Looks like sleight of hand but the magic is all in the cards. I have amazed people with this set. If
you are in to close up card magic then this is for you.

This is one of the best DVD's I own.
From now on Simon Lovell is one of the magician's who
influenced me. His humor is superb, really.
I still gave it five stars but I thought there were
also gonna be cards like the gaff deck from E, like fade-out cards or skull-kings, I mean that type
of cards. These cards are more like the normal gaff cards that you need in books but they are also
very good!!!
This is the best thing Magic makers has ever made.

this is hands down, the best item i've got.
Simon is very funny guy and he does some
excellent teaching, all tricks are explained in great detail with proper credit to their origination
(i believe that's important too).
There are just sooo many cool cards in this.
this really
is a million dollar card box.
you can spend over 100$ on tricks separately or...
you can get
this!
This is a must have!!
This DVD is awsome, and has so many killer effects and routines!!
I just got this deck and DVD set for Christmas, and it's great! Not only does Simon have a very good
teaching style, but the tricks are awesome, as well as the deck! This is one of the better products
I have gotten on Penguin. Add this to your cart now!
I really like the dvd and gaff deck everything is top of the line quality and simon exlains in full
detail and is very funny and he gives you patter for your routine.
Although I did not order Packet Killer from Penguin, this is definitely one of the best gaffed cards
deck I've ever laid my hands on. Not only that, but the DVD is amazing! Simon Lovell explains every
trick to the fullest detail so that even a baby could figure it out, and he's very funny.
On a scale of 1-10 I'd say 20
Awesome DVD. Don't buy anymore gaffed cards until you buy this DVD. If you combine the prices of all
the gaffed cards this DVD gives you it's over 0. Simon Lovell is a great teacher, with multiple
approaches to every trick. Also, the hardest trick on this DVD can be done by a novice with a little
bit of practice. Over half the tricks only require about 10 minutes of practice, and the others
require only simple sleights. Great DVD.
