You can accomplish exactly the same effect with a s***i gimmick. This does NOT involve that gimmick,
but it may aswell do. Instead it involes a much older technique, that is decent, but it is not the
best you can do.
Perform this if you have nothing on you, no props and no mentalism
material, but in my opinion there is more for you to do with billet work and such. This also is not
very deceptive, and there are half a dozen better ways to achieve this effect.

This is an amazing effect that definitely deserves some attention.
Alright, before I start,
I want to mention Luke Jermay is not the creator of the original effect, but the creator of the
variation. Al Koran originally came up the effect and pursued it in another method. I actually
prefer this method.
Pro's:
1. Only one poker chip is used.
2. Supplies are not
hard to find and can be bought for less than 10 dollars.
3. The spectators love it.
4. Packs
small and plays big.
5. There are absolutely no gimmicks.
Con's:
1. You only
have about 170 degrees of angle free presentation.
2. You have to have two sharpies on you.
This is mainly recommended to mentalists and magicians who have a gambling demonstration built
into their routine.
This is easy to perform and can be crafted into any routine.
It is a miracle indeed, and is highly recommended to all magicians and mentalists.

This trick was thought out great, but for kids, don't get it. I am a 13 year old who does birthday
parties, but in school or on the street (unless i have a suit that is gimmicked which you need for
the trick) i made my own variation which still hits big, overall good trick.

This trick just watching the demo is very spectacular...but it is very restricted.
An example is
that you'll need a shirt with a breast pocket to do this trick which can be a hassle for a
walk-around type magician. Also you'll have an angle issue which may be hard as well. This is
recommended for a formal close up show all dressed up. 3 stars

I believe with this type of method, the final revelation shouldn't be bang on what the spectator
said, so for example, if a spectator named 103 thousand, the final revelation should be 102 thousand
as it would create more effect in terms of realism.
Also, keeping the prediction at a
"near miss" takes off the heat of the spectators thinking it is a mere "trick" and with the right
presentation, a nice, strong reaction can be achieved.

It is very suspicious, yet it does get great reactions from people. Any person watching this can
figure the effect out even if you do the thing that accomplishes the effect correctly. Although, If
you do the presentation well, have enough patter, and add some creativity, like Luke Jermay did, it
will freak people out. Basically, practice it for a while, and you will get great reactions.

AT THE SAME TIME,
I THINK LUKE RUSHES. LIKE HE'S NERVOUS OR SOMETHING.
JUST SLOW D O W
N THE MOVES.
I MEAN, I KNOW THEM ...BUT THERE ARE ELEMENTS MISSING THAT HE'D PROBABLY PUT
IN IF HE SLOWED DOWN.
FOR INSTANCE,
DOES THE MENTALIST MAKE A BIG DEAL OF THE FACT
THAT THE PREDICTION IS WRITTEN ON THE ONLY RED CARD IN THE DECK?
IF NOT, WHY I S
THERE ONLY ONE RED CARD AND IT HAS THE PREDICTION?
MAYBE HE EXPLAINS A L L of this
but his Liverpudlian accent gets in the way.
Maybe I want him to sing "You Say It's Your
Birthday" from the White Album.
In any case, this bonus effect at the end....LUKE SEEMS
DISINTERESTED DURING THE EXPLANATION.
This trick uses an old concept and combines it with something that is relevant. Poker. THe handling
of this trick isn't too complicated but it will take some practice. There is some set up involved
but nothing too complicated. No forces needed here. The spectator can choose any number they want
and you will always get it right.

I will definitely be adding this into my routine. I love the reactions this one gets.

this is totally the second best thing from luke jermay. he teaches you like 3 methods for this. he
even includes his walkaround version for room 101.its a bit suspicious. the basic "moove" if you
would call it, is a bit hard to master. you have to be very smooth. the video is also very long as
well. totally. add this to cart now!!!
