Just got this, just watched the EXCELLENT instruction video (thorough, clear, useful), and spent
about an hour getting the basic routine and moves down, including variations. Though this is
perfectly accessible for a novice the intermediate to advanced magicians will be able to perform and
present a lot cleaner. My only concern, which is a pretty common one, is the durability of the
gimmicks/props. However, Nicholas clearly shows how to reproduce your gimmick. The shot glass is
pretty standard and easily replaced. The die itself purports to be pretty specific to the effect but
I'm pretty sure that if I measure it that it will turn out to be replaceable. This is my favorite
type of magic in its simplicity.

There is nothing new here or particularly interesting. The method has been published many times. The
packaging is nicely done and the video instructions are clear. But the props provided are worth
perhaps $5.00 all told. So maybe this packaging of an old effect is worth $10.00, maybe. I plan to
donate my copy to benefit the local IBM Ring. Maybe someone there, a junior member perhaps, will be
able to make use of it.

So I'm a fan of this effect. I went back and forth between 4 and 5 stars (I wish I could give 4.5
that would be perfect-I decided to round up instead of down)
Here are the pros and cons of
this effect:
1) The most important pro of this effect, is that it does EXACTLY what it says
it does. THere is no funny camera work, no difficult set up. If you were impressed with the video,
then this likely an effect you will like.
2) You have everything you need right out of the
box. No arts and crafts are needed.
3) It's very easy to perform, and gets great reactions.
4) There are no real issues with angles at all.
CONS:
1) I think it might
be a hair overpriced for what you get. I completely understand that you have to pay for the
magician's time in developing an effect, and that you also pay for the secret. And for me, the cost
was worth it. While not going directly into my show, it's a great "Show me something!" effect, or
bar effect when I'm recognized as a magician.
2) This relates back to CON #1. I don't see
the gimmick lasting that long. However even for a "non-arts & craft guy" like myself. Making more of
them is easy. In fact, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND making 4-5 more with an exacto before using it for the
first time. It will save you headache and time in the long run.
I like this effect,
primarily because it's very unique. The moment I started to perform this for someone, I had other
people walk up to see what I was doing. As I said, if you like the video, and could yourself
performing this, I highly recommend it.

But was very disappointed in this. If I could give back I would. Looking at the things I got and
watching a certain part of the video more than once before I used it, I wasn’t convinced my gimmick
was quite right. Sadly, I was correct and my gimmick was damaged after one go. You do get two
gimmicks but I can tell it’s going to be exactly the same problem.

10/10 for the video - The training is top notch.
10/10 for the props. They are what they are...
Don't overthink what you are going to receive. They are just standard props and that is what you
get!
My issue is with the effect itself. For me it just does not play as well as in the
videos Stroop Test blows people away.
This has gotten a muted 'that's cool..' and that is about
it so I will mark it as such accordingly.

The item came in a nice box but the trick is supposed to come with a regular -
hide-away
-card , it did not . I got 1 regular card and two pass through cards and they are dissimilar but
supposed to be identical .
The trick is not that great and I would say only the drunkest of
bar patrons would be fooled as a 1st grader would prob figure it out pretty fast .
It’s
slight of hand magic and I get it but not that good .

I was impressed by the beautiful packaging but upon opening found that all the props and gimmick can
be obtained for one third the price and the method is just as you would expect.
I'll never use
it in performance.

A great bar trick and easy to do with a little practice. You will need to replace the gimmick from
time to time and you are given instructions on how to do that. Replacements are not hard to make but
I wish Penguin would sell them for those of us who don't have the time or skill for arts and crafts.

I ordered this as a Christmas present from my wife. Unfortunately, she hid it and I'm not allowed to
have it until Christmas. She Grinched me.... However, I have watched the download about 10 times and
I know it's going to be incredible. The teaching is thorough and excellent. This is one that you
really must pay attention to detail in your moves. I'm thrilled so far, I just wish I could find out
where she his it 🤣.
