In this issue of Penguin Magic Monthly you'll read about how Franz Harary hid in a tiger cage with Janet Jackson to escape the paparazzi. You'll also receive a brand new, never before seen, card gaff. We call it the Taco Card and with it you can make cards turnover, reverse themselves, vanish, and teleport without any sleight of hand!

Here's the magic you will learn in this issue:

The Taco Trick by Josh Burch
Two cards turn over indicating the location of the selected card without the use of sleight of hand!

The Enchilada Trick by Josh Burch
Two cards teleport inside the deck to find a selected card. They then teleport to the box bringing the selected card with them. This one has tons of surprises, and it's dead simple to do!

Elephino by Salomon Vainstein
A three-card monte with a brand new method. You move slowly and deliberately, but they can never find the odd card out!

Modern Fax by Ben Train
A selected card vanishes from your hands, and teleports into your friend's hands TWICE!

Taco Sandwich by Ben Train
Two cards instantly travel from the bottom to the top of the deck trapping a selected card between them.

A Card and a Half by Matan Len
Tear off a piece of a card and fuse it to another!

Double Triumph by Daniel Raas Rothschild
Have two cards selected, then shuffle the deck face up into face down. It looks like a real mess! All of the card sort themselves out except for one selection. That card then changes into the other selection! Tons of magic yet super easy to do!

I haven't read the issue yet, but I just wanted to say the guy on the cover is super good looking - and probably a great hugger.

Can't wait to get my copy!

Best in the series Report this review

Dani saved the best for last. This is my favorite in the series. It is relatively easy to do and has a big impact. There are some advanced concepts that he uses, but you can chose not to do some of the harder psychological forces if you are nervous about them.

The only defect, and I would say this is minor, with this effect is that as currently structured, it requires a spectator (or even two) to be able to riffle shuffle. That is not always possible. Note, that one of the riffle shuffles that is done is not necessary, and can be completely skipped, as it is only there for another layer of deception that is great for magicians, but probably not needed for lay people. However, the other is required, OR, you will need a different method that does not required a riffle shuffle.

That said, it is well worth it to learn this to have a minor miracle. Note the one skill you might need (once again you can use other methods) is the ability to cull a card. Other than that, no complicated sleight of hand is required.
