this is my second stipper deck. the ist. one was by royal deck, which did the job it is suposed to.
however, I found the royal quite flimsy and frail to handle because probably
of poor
construction. When I ordered the red mandouline deck, I was expecting a strong well rounded deck,
which .
it is, except the secret cut was done very poorly to the
point that the feel was
pracrically not there. \i do not know if this was a manufacturing defect, and if it is not, then \i
will not recommend it to any body.

I really don't like to write bad reviews, but I want to spare someone else from purchasing such a
poor quality product. I love the Mandolin cards and use them regularly. The problem is not with the
card stock, it is with the taper. If I could attach a picture I would. Only one side is tapered for
about one inch. Not only is the taper very obvious, it is virtually impossible to strip the cards
apart with this cut.
On a side note, I believe the deck I received must have been returned
by someone else previously. The deck was not even close to being in new deck order, and they were
haphazardly reversed throughout the deck.
I'm very disappointed, and I absolutely can NOT
recommend this version of the stripper deck.

I'm not one to complain, but I am very disappointed also. I've never had a problem with Rider Back
stripper decks. But the Mandolin Stripper deck is poorly made. I hope things get better.

These work great in conjuntion with Richard Sanders Uprising ( Rising Card ). The new twilight angel
decks also work perfect with this deck, because they're Red Back Mandolin too! Buy don't Cry.

My first purchase of this item was a big disappointment. However, Penguin was very generous and, for
all practical purposes, I was able to get another one free of charge. The quality was much better
this time and I am pleased. The only issue is that the deck was warped. This happens because it is
cold and the stripper decks do not come sealed like normal decks do. The elements lead the deck to
become warped, so I have to wait until they get unwarped before I use them.

One thing I like to do for my card routines is to have a few different decks on the table and have
the spectator choose any deck, their free choice, for me to use.. I have a number of decks that I
use for different routines and swap various ones in and out so I am not using the same group of
decks every time. I like to try out various kinds to add to the mix so I bought one in red and one
in blue.
I have to say they are not very good..and it is WAY too obvious..
The
"routines" suggest you could give them to a spectator to handle and shuffle but the it is SO obvious
that I think most people would notice it if you handed them the deck..
If you handle the
deck your-self you can use a cover technique to compensate but you would have to be aware of this to
avoid flashing it..also a problem if you do a spread...if you are careful the spread will cover it
except for one card, again you would have to use a cover or misdirection to avoid having someone
spot it..but if they look they will likely see it.
I would not recommend these..

No good finish but ok for practice

The cards were just what I expected. Despite all the negative reviews nothing was wrong with the
cards. I will continue to order the Mandolin strippers by Daryl in the future.
