Not as easy as it looks.

I haven't really studied rubber band tricks before but this was a real winner for me. You don't
require any special rubber bands and the method is super simple to learn. It's a bit mind-bending
how it works but it does and the effect really stumps viewers. You can perform it really close up
and you can practically see the penetration of the finger or whatever object you use. A keeper for
me. It's like real magic!

Overview:
I often look at all the 3-star and lower reviews before I purchase anything, because
often if there is a legitimate problem with any product, they'll be the ones honestly exposing it.
I'm glad to say that when I see contradictory reviews, if usually fills me with confidence, and this
didn't disappoint.
It was fun to learn, knacky to master (fills the sleight of hand artist
in me with joy), and hits as harder than anything else that can be done with a broken rubber band.
The Instruction:
The styling of the tutorial was definitely not for everyone, but I
found it charming (though to be fair, I also find the bridging skits in rap albums charming for a
similar reason). Their explanation of the effect, how to do it, and the variety of objects it can
penetrate is all very well done. Their presentation on how to get into it was fine for me, but not
nearly as expansive as it could have been (as other reviews have commented). They provide no script
or patter recommendations, but I don't think that it's needed for effects like this.
Handling:
Because this can use a broken rubber band, I like doing it with a band that the
spectator has broken (attempting to do a broken and restored effect after I've done one), or that I
break after saying "but really, I need this broken for my next effect", and along with something
like "object rising up the band" that also makes use of the broken band. It turns a band that's old
and worn out into a little bit more magic before it gets discarded.
Verdict:
It would
be wild not to add this to your repertoire if you already do things with rubber bands, or you're
looking for just one really punchy effect with rubber bands that's not crazy man's handcuffs!

Works better if you are performing somewhere cool, the slightest bit of moisture on your hands makes
this so much harder than what it is worth. Also… the angles are really awkward, you need to show the
palm of your hands, so in essence you will have your back partially turned, even then the angles are
super restricted.
Looks great if done well. I can do a quadruple coin roll, so dexterity
isn’t an issue for me, but man the move is knacky.

My only complaint is that getting into position is not smooth for me. I will continue to work on it
but so far I can't really perform it with any confidence. But it is a really cool principal.

I am very happy with ( Intrickation by Dr.Cyril Thomas & Justine Cesari.) now I need to do a little
bit of work to make it look as good as Dr.Cyril Thomas.

This is the ultimate “looks like a special effect” bit of rubber band business. The penetration
looks jaw-dropping in real time. Took me some reps to make it bulletproof, but was it ever worth it.
I’ve seen comments about the get ready, but I believe any reasonably experienced magician can easily
do the dirty work right in front of spectators without any difficulty at all. Yes, it’s quick, but
this will be the one band move your spectators will tell others about. Best piece of band business
since lazy man’s handcuffs.

It's as good as it looks in the video. So I'll definitely add it to for example a extra ending to
for example my version of the Crazy man's handcuffs routine.
But there is, at least there was
in my case, a bit of a learning curve. It's not a knuckle busting move like some of the coin- and
cardmoves I mastered over time. But the 'getting into position' and 'the release' (I'm not telling
you anything you can't see in the promo clip; there is a position and there is a release ;-)),
required a bit more experimentation than I anticipated.
Other than that Iike it very much as an
addition to my rubberband repertoire!
