"Great plot. Great method….and a ton of great routines. What more could you wish for? This is absolute commercial gold that you HAVE to pick up" - Matthew Wright

"I just can't figure out how you're doing that! This is such a fantastic plot and premise for a magic effect. Brilliant!" - John Morton

"That is absolutely brilliant. Crazy good! Such a commercial routine. Congratulations" - Noel Qualter

"This is the kind of magic that I LOVE! Practical, commercial, and utterly fooling. The one magic button you need to press right now is the “buy” button!" - Cameron Francis

"Such a great premise that is not only fun and engaging, but it guarantees a huge impact every time! Add in everything else that is taught on the project and Craig has another commercial winner here. Highly recommended" - David Jonathan

"Craig’s magic button effect is interactive, fun and unexpected. There is only one button that is better and it’s called “Buy Now”" - Iain Bailey

"Simple in premise yet as complex as you choose to make it. This is commercial card magic at its best. Absolutely incredible" - Adam Wilber

A spectator’s signed card fuses to the back of a magic button that has been lying on the table since before the trick even began. This impossible souvenir makes audiences scream. The magic is as easy as pressing a button when you perform The Magic Button Project by Craig Petty.

Here’s what happens:

A card with a large, friendly red button is placed on the table at the very beginning of the routine. The magician explains that they will share the secret of how all magic works and the secret is the magic button. A card is selected, signed, and lost into the deck. When the spectator presses the magic button, their signed card appears on top of the deck. This can be done again with a visual appearance on top of the deck. For a finale, the spectator loses the card in the deck, shuffles it, and presses the magic button a final time. At first, the card is nowhere to be seen. Then, in an impossible moment, they can turn over the magic button card and discover their signed card has fused to the back of it, and they can even take it home as an impossible souvenir.

The Magic Button Project is absolutely massive. Not only do you get the Magic Button gimmicked cards, a fully gaffed deck that you can perform with right away, but a tutorial over three hours in length that teaches you the basic routine described above, but dozens of other ideas as well. Sandwich routines, Vanishing Buttons, Multiplying Buttons, Wild Card presentations, even a killer Monte routine. The tutorial is also a veritable treasure trove of sleight of hand with cards. Beginners will be able to start off with easy routines and rapidly advance their skills. Workers will love how these commercial routines from Craig’s working repertoire kill in live performances. Let your audiences press the Magic Button, and then watch them scream with delight when you perform The Magic Button Project from Craig Petty.

I wanted to let those on the fence or those curious about what you receive, I'm here to inform you. Hopefully Penguin won't see this as exposure as I'm only detailing what comes in your gaff deck...

56 cards in total

-32 magic button souvenirs
-A thru 10 of diamonds
-A thru 10 of hearts
-A thru 6 of spades
-5 button/blank backs
-5 smashed button/ blanks
-4 button/smashed button
-4 red/red DBL backers
-1 red/blue DBL backer
-1 red back/ blank face
-4 button/ red backers

So I've cruised through the 3 hour masterclass as we've come to love and expect from Craig and boy is there a lot of routines and ideas! He covers some of the Sleights you'll need right from the get-go and then he demos and explains the routines with Dalton Wayne. I'm sorry I can't fully remember if there are full live performances in the trenches but the demo gives you all you need to see pretty much the beginning to the kicker ending. I'm going to rock the main ACR routine because it's easy, simple for your specs to follow, we all know layman love ACRs, and the brain melt shock of their card actually fusing to and becoming the button card seemingly from the very start, is so pleasing to watch. Of course I'm going to road test the other routines but the main event is what sold me. There is one move you need to do after the last phase but it's so damn deceptive that it flyed by me the first time I saw the demo. It's easy so don't worry at all. I bought a Maiden Deck because the regular Magic Button card you let them examine is Maiden back. But honestly Craig tells you you can use rider backs and no one will notice, they are that similar. I'll smash it here because I've answered alot of the questions I first had and thought you guys may be wondering too. My final recommendation is just get this now while it's still discounted $5. You get Soooo much that you'll be sad if you don't. Thanks again Craig for feeding us and then some 🤝💯

The magic button... big bang for your buck!!! Report this review

Mr Craig petty...I am a life long fan. Period. I now own magic button, quantum, evoke and the visible project with the 1914. All four are five star products! If you own neither of these, you should own all of them before you cannot get them any longer.

The magic button project is stellar! It's the kind of magic that is not only fairly easy, but really gets the reactions you see in the demo. The tutorialis a whopping 2 hour plus video that not only includes instructions for every single sleight needed to perform these effects, but, several effects to perform with the magic button card. That being said, the cards you get, include enough cards to do the main effect several times. They also sell a three deck replacement pack for $49.95. Not a bad price if you're getting paid to perform. I do not perform professionally, but I still bought the replacement packs. I just know that I'm going to be performing this ACR routine for a long time. Thank you, Mr. Pretty. This is, by far, one of the best effects I've ever purchased.

Craig Petty is a fabulous teacher. As a grandfather who has been out of magic for a while, I'm an old dog learning new tricks. I got so much more than I bargained for with Magic Button. Just the tutorials on various slights was worth the price. I truly wish Penguin had been around when I was a kid. You won't be wasting your time or money with this.

Not for hobbyists, beginners Report this review

Trick looks great. What you see in the video is what you get. There are however a LOT of slights and moves you will need to learn and practice for this trick. Not that that's a bad thing, just not for hobbyists or beginners like me. I buy tricks and perform them for family and friends and not often enough to develop and maintain the skills needed for this to work. Not knocking the trick itself. I hesitated buying this because I was worried about the handling, but it looked so good I got it anyway. If you're good with handling, this will be good for you. It's just not easy to learn and will sit in my drawer unused. (minus 1 star for each)

very nice trick Report this review

This is a great trick. The video has nearly 3 hours of different tricks with this. The first part of the video covers a dozen or so different moves used during all of the routines. I found this very helpful. The moves were generally pretty easy and effective. Some I'll apply to other tricks--e.g. a nice bottom card force.

I do wonder: if the spectator signs the button card, and we eventually need more button cards, are they alone available.

This is a fun trick to perform! It gets great reactions and doesn't require you to be an advanced card person. Craig teaches you the basic handling and then plenty of other routines. You get plenty of cards to start performing right away.

I am an amateur magician and do this for fun, but this trick is pure gold!!!! You get not only a deck of gaffed cards but 2 HOURS of Craig Petty instructions. 2 hours!!!! Well worth it! While some of the moves I already know, it was still great to hear Craig's tips.

It is very rare that I find a trick strong enough to motivate me to write a review. This is an outstanding piece of magic. The quality of the instruction is excellent. It is very practical and I look forward to performing it. You get a lot of magic for the price you pay with this purchase. Congratulations Craig on an outstanding project … well done!
