"Simon Says is more than a trick, it’s a tool that will make you look like a master mind reader. What’s more the premise is fun, engaging and so commercial. This is something every magician or mentalist should have in their arsenal. Make sure you pick one up, because trust me you will use it!!" - Peter Nardi

"I love it. This is the only item in the category ‘fun mind reading’ I want to do" - Noel Qualter

"I’m a fan of Simon Lipkin. Simon Says is a killer trick! Regardless of whether your primary focus is magic or mentalism, this is the perfect new tool that deserves its space in your pockets. 100% recommended!" - Dee Christopher

"This is the kind of trick I love to perform!!" - Nikolas Mavresis

"This is so fun. I always love mentalism that takes an existing, simple method in magic but applies it to a brand new theme. What Simon has created here is a naturally justified tool that gets you away from boring card-trick presentations and amplifies the entertainment factor." - Mark Lemon

"This project has an unbelievably strong hook! Simon is an incredible teacher and has some outstanding ideas but even he will admit that his teachings are just the tip of the iceberg. The real power is having the ability to create your own routines using the super simple, intuitive system. This one is a real winner!" - Craig Petty

"Unlike many “non-card” decks currently on the market, this is a REAL game you can play with the spectators to justify not only the prop, but the whole premise of what you’re going to do. This is leaps & bounds ahead of others like it on the market. I’ll be keeping one of these in my working case for sure!" - Joe Diamond

"I love this! Super direct mind reading that is easy to do. The secret system does all the work, you don’t even have to think about it! Ingenious! Totally innocent in every way, this is so devious!” - Marc Paul

""Clever, Versatile & Organic! GAME ON!" - Doug Conn

Imagine walking up to a spectator, and instead of asking them to pick a card, you have them pick a person. Disguised as a party game where people guess celebrities, this marked deck of cards provides you with the tools to perform very direct mind reading that will blow your audience away. Get inside their head with Simon Says by Simon Lipkin.

Simon Says is accompanied by an instructional video featuring three incredible routines directly from Simon Lipkin’s working repertoire.

The Game
You introduce a brand new party game you bought. It’s a deck of cards with the names of celebrities and iconic descriptions of those celebrities below their name. The idea is you have to describe the celebrity to another player without using the descriptions written on the card, and they guess which celebrity you are thinking of. You then show them that you have learned to play the game with your psychic powers. Another spectator removes any celebrity from the pack that they wish, and without asking them any questions, you are able to immediately tell them the exact celebrity they are holding. Best of all, you can instantly repeat the trick.

Truth Or Lie
A presentation using body reading and micro-expression reading that gives you the ability to know when someone is telling the truth or a lie. They think of a celebrity from the deck, and you read their reactions and reveal the name they are thinking of. Simon shares with you all the tips to make this reading believable and powerful.

One Ahead
You have your audience sign a billet, then you make a prediction, and then they select a celebrity out of the deck. This procedure is repeated with three different spectators, with you always writing your prediction before they cut the deck. They memorize the celebrities they cut to. In the end, you reveal that you successfully predicted not only the celebrities they would think of, but which spectator thought of which famous person.

Along with the routines, Simon will teach you a ton of little tips on double writing, the one ahead principle, and loads of presentational tips that you can apply to all of your mentalism. Simon Says uses a diabolical marking system that uses intuitive, easy-to-read marks that hide in plain sight. The moment you understand how it works, you’ll be able to instantly know the identity of the celebrity on the face of the card without any complicated memorization systems or the need to hide a crib. Simon teaches you a straightforward mind-reading routine you’ll love to perform, but almost any card trick can be adapted to the Simon Says deck, making your magic truly unique. The best part is that it doubles as the actual game it’s masquerading as! When you are done blowing minds, you also have a fun party game that will provide hours of entertainment.

Perform the impossible with a deck that’s destined to be famous when you perform Simon Says by Simon Lipkin.

I received this deck recently, and I love it.

I am happy with the result - One clue I really like something, I try to get two copies (in case they're a limited run, or one gets lost/damaged). I just ordered my second set.

The quality of cards is great, the design makes the deck look like a legitimate card game (which you could play if you didn't use the methods).

I find sometimes that, say, a gimmicked book for a book test (or a deck of cards for a supposed game) looks... odd. It doesn't come across as a legitimate book (or deck of cards) you'd find at a store. This, like several other decks I have been lucky enough to get recently, looks like a real professional set you could find at a toy/gaming store.

I would say that once certain aspects are learned, I believe that if you, for whatever reasons, didn't perform this for a certain amount of time, and wanted to pick this up again, I would think that you'd be able to remember the basic method without having to go back to the video, so it's fairly easy - not a lot of difficult memory work involved, so you can focus on presentation.

The game is named differently from the "trick" name - some creators have made that mistake (creating a trick with the same name of the deck) so that those few audience members who are "method sifters" can find information on it easily with an internet search. I think that his would make that more difficult; a nice touch.

It comes with a nice box for storage (just don't use it when you're actually performing) so it could make your cards stay a little nicer when traveling; and there's an important card box for the cards themselves (don't discard this; it will help with certain aspects.

There are some brilliant ideas in the video, the quality of the online video is pretty good, (fairly easy to hear and understand, and he has a nice pace for people to keep up.

There are a lot of things you can do with this deck. Even having someone pick a card at random, then you could have two other people involved right away (especially if you... keep the cards... in a certain condition) which seems utterly baffling. The cards can be looked at, and other than the names being all different (even on the back design), the audience probably would be grasping at straws to come up with an exact method, for those concerned about that.

Yes, the cards ARE all different. Like I said, front AND back. I'm sure that you could let them stare at the cards for a long time, and they'd never figure it out (though I would never let them examine everything too closely in ANY effect).

The deck has both modern and old celebrities (like Charlie Chaplin, Elvis, Paul Rudd and Emily Blunt), both living and deceased, and the deck isn't all actors/actresses, so it will probably entertain most audiences of any age who keeps up with film, music, or sports.

This might not be for everybody (not every trick IS developed for everyone), but I'm sure most of you who like mentalism or mental magic (and celeb culture), will love using this deck.

Terrific Report this review

This is an excellent release. Simon Lipkin is a somewhat new creator to me, having released Tricoulor shortly before Simon Says.

He strikes me as a creative thinker and a good teacher.

The design of the deck itself is great - it really seems like a legit celebrity guessing game. I've performed this a few times and everyone has readily accepted the deck and enjoyed playing a real first round.

The routines are modular - you can do one short bit of mind reading, or a longer routine.

Simon's routine using the one-ahead principle is very smart & convincing, but also easy to do. You'll probably even fool people who are familiar with the principle because of his extra touches.

Highly recommended. I'm going to be using this a lot.

Lots of potential for amazing magic Report this review

This is a unique deck in that you could really play this as a game (you would have to reset before performing though, so do the magic first). People can stare at the cards and the backs all they want to and they won't see anything, but when you learn the system you'll be ready to work miracles.

The downside to me is you'll need a good lighting situation or wonderful vision to see the things you need to see. The deck is devious in the system, but that also means it's not easy to see every time. As you play with the deck more and learn the celebrities inside, you'll get a much better number of hits with less glancing at anything. There's a handy crib on the case that helps you set the deck up in order as well if it gets shuffled.

Simon also teaches some great routines. "One Ahead" is spectacular. This means you'll have a starting point to work with, but I think most magicians will develop their own routines rather quickly. Again, this is a great deck with great potential as long as you have good vision. If you are comfortable with Penguin's marked deck, you'll be good with this.

A refreshing alternative to card magic Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on July 2nd, 2024
My wife still thinks I am reading the name of the celebrity from her eyes. This is an incredibly neat and fun game/mind reading effect and gets a strong reaction. It's easy to learn the basics and had many potential uses, as Simon explains in his very engaging tutorial. I recommend this without hesitation to all aspiring and established magicians.

Good, but I need my glasses Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on June 20th, 2024
I wear a 1.75 reading glasses and need to have them to read the marking on this deck. This is the reason it did not get a "5".

That said, this is a worker. Much better than regular cards and also good with teens.

GREAT DECK/TRICK SUPER FUN AND WILL INTEREST PEOPLE Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on June 7th, 2024
So I'm almost done the tutorial and I have the deck and it's great I'm probably going to buy a second I could do a long review and say how great it is for many reasons but other people have taken care of that

I love that it's a real game they can play too

You know what would've been a real smart move though if it was possible for Simon and the team ?

They should have printed normal decks of these with a link to purchase them because what if people say omg I loveeee this game where did you get it??? I'm sure all of us magicians will run into this a lot while we're out there doing this

And if they had unmarked decks for like 10 bucks on a link somewhere they could have made more money from spectators buying the game

I haven't performed this yet but I definitely see people asking where I got the game and they will want to play it I'm sure with their friends

People love games especially games they csns play at a party with their friends

Just a thought if Simon or the team reads this I'd capitalize on this and have normal unmarked decks printed because I guarantee they would sell to spectators we do this trick for and it also makes the real game even more legitimate

It's not like it would need deep instruction it's pretty self explanatory

All in all great trick though

There are a ton of people in the world who loveeeee games and games like this
