"What I like the most about this is that it’s a worker. A real practical way to do this effect that makes it look like you have Spider-Man like sticky hands" - Jon Armstrong

"An incredibly magnetic experience…. Savage, brilliant, tremendously intelligent." - Steve Spill

"Erik's routines are always exceptionally well thought out, presentationally awesome, and extremely hard hitting. When I witnessed Erik perform his magnetized cards live in his stand up show, he fried the audience, and he fried me. When Erik releases work from his own repertoire, I pay attention. Erik... This is so good. Seriously." - Alyx Hilshy

"I’ve always loved the magnetic hand plot and now Erik has solved everything that has kept it out of my regular repertoire. Day 1 purchase for me as soon as he releases this killer." - Randy Pitchford

"Erik has made an amazing, easy to use gimmick and crafted a thought-out routine you will actually perform! If anything, get this just so you can play with the gimmick!" - Chris Marek

"Phenomenal and visual effect that’s easy to do! A must have close up killer!" - Joshua Messado

"I love Magnetized Cards and have been performing it for years. This new version has taken this classic and turned it on its head! It has a very different feel and a great climax. It looks great and I can’t wait to try it out for my audiences" - Marc DeSouza

"Finally a super practical version of this classic! Love this!!" - Will Tyrrell

"GASP by Erik Tait, is a card trick that genuinely surprises. Someone picks a card, it gets lost in the deck, and then it's found in the most unexpected way – with a gasp and a breath. This twist makes it super unique and fun.. This is a cool variation on a classic, but the method is genius, which makes it an exciting experience. Absolutely something I would include in my closeup material!" - Rune Carlsen

"This trick leaves you to take sleight of hand out of the equation and makes you deduce that it is the sheer mental will of the magician!" - Joan Dukore

"Using this fun original gimmick is a work on presentation and charisma. I think magicians can explore the intensification of the "let go" effect, which is an interesting moment from a magical and structural viewpoint." - Markobi - Card Magic World Champion

"It’s no secret that Erik is my favorite magician. He’s so good it’s frankly annoying. I have never been more annoyed than when he first showed me this. As a fan of the plot it was frustrating that I had no idea how it worked and even more annoying that he wouldn’t tell me. Having now found out the secret I can tell you this is the final word when it comes to The Magnetised Cards Plot. It’s commercial, clever, engaging and quite easy to perform. But more importantly you can perform it without wearing anything on your hands. This is Erik’s best release yet and everyone should pick one up immediately" - Craig Petty

"I thought I knew how this worked, but I was VERY wrong and VERY fooled when I realized a certain piece of jewelry was missing." - Erik Casey

"GASP is a fantastic new way to reveal a spectator's card to add to your repertoire." - Karl Hein

"I have seen GASP live, and it absolutely murders! I believe this to be one of the most solid versions in terms of premise and practicality, and the method is chef’s kiss." - Krystyn Lambert

"Erik showed me this a while back and blew me away. Such a clever, quirky trick and probably unlike anything you’re currently performing" - Roddy McGhie

"If your hobbies include card tricks and breathing, GASP provides you with a practical solution to a perplexing performance. Now, you can breathe easy." - Dan Harlan

Cards impossibly stick to your hands like iron filings to a magnet, and when they fall off, your hands are immediately examinable. The Magnetized Card plot has been astonishing audiences for decades, but now it is being tackled by one of the modern masters of card magic. Take your audience’s breath away when you perform Gasp by Erik Tait.

Here’s what happens:

Your audience selects a card that can be signed, and then it is lost in the deck. You show them that they will shuffle the deck, grab a handful of cards from the middle of the pack, and toss them on the table. The rest of the deck is put away, and the packet of cards is spread out into a large wash on the table. You place your hand palm down on the mess of cards, take a deep breath, and when you lift your hand, all of the cards except for one stick to your hand. While the cards are stuck to your hand you can even move them around, proving they must be adhered to you by magic. The single card remaining is, unbelievably, the card the spectator selected. When you let your breath out, the cards stuck to your hand cascade back onto the table. Your hands are immediately examinable.

The Gasp gimmick is a novel approach to the magnetized card plot that doesn’t use any special jewelry, sticky substances on your hand, shimmed cards, or threads to achieve this highly visual and jaw-dropping effect. You receive the Gasp Gimmick, a flexible card with a secret that can hide inside your deck and stick cards to your hands whenever you want. In addition to the gimmick, you receive a tutorial with Erik Tait, who teaches you a close-up routine that has audience members flipping out when you reveal their card. As a bonus, you will also learn Erik’s parlor routine. This novel presentation of the magnetized cards has made him one of the favorite performers at magic theaters across the country. Direct from the act of a FISM award-winning card magician is one of the most off-beat and memorable card tricks you will ever perform. Blow your audience’s minds when you perform Gasp by Erik Tait.

Rolled the dice with this one, as I liked many aspects of the routine.
It can be seen from a large group and others and will catch peoples attention.
It can be described easily, "All the cards stuck to his hand."
It creates a unique suspension moment where people just seem to pause.
There's many ways to play this.
But after buying it it's great to know it's better than I thought.
I really thought there might be some fudging of the words and advertising, which is more about my own jadedness rather than anything to slag the creator. He's done a great job with the gimmick.
This can live in your deck. And then it can be taken out without suspicion.
The gimmick can be activated or not. A great feature.
It is a toss up on the gimmick being a Joker as it does stand out when you raise your hand to display. You can't see The Work but a 3 of clubs might of been more invisible, just saying. I'm sure this was considered and the Joker was opted for the benifts of being able to remove it from the deck without drawing attention. And other benefits. Guess you could stick a card to the bottom if you wanted.
So happy with this it was a great buy, and look forward to performing with it.
Love having these secret weapons in the deck.

I was skeptical about Gasp because the magnetized cards plot has been around so long. But I’m glad I got it because the gimmick is unique and so well made. Erik’s video is excellent and I appreciate that it’s focused and useful.

I love effects that astounds and surprises not just the revealing of card, but the process of how you reveal it. Sort of 2 for one effect. The handling is easy and the method well thought out which leaves your hands clean afterwards. This one is must have and I highly recommend it too.

It’s a good trick, just never going to use! Little fiddling but does a decent job. Will sit in my drawer thou as I want a magic trick to work 100% of the time thou this is a cute effect and would work if you spend hours learning (will wear out the gimmick ad then you’ll have to buy new one)
