this is still a great piece of magic. With a good presentation and showmanship this will make a good
addition to my existing routines and sets.
The only down fall is the box can not be shown
empty to some extint. You can show all sides of the box with clever handling. I was looking for a
way to show an empty card box for an effect I already do (silk vanish to card box), and thought this
might be the way to go. I bought it when it was on Penguin's Cool Box special for around 2 bucks,so
I figured Id give it a shot. Even though it did not acomplish what I wanted it to do, after watching
the dvd with Sankeys teaching of it, I was excited that I had bought it.
I have to admit
that I was not a big Sankey fan. I always seen his stuff on penguin, and the sheer amount of
material he sells made me think he was just an inventor trying to make a buck. I stand corrected,
Sankey has put together a real gem with this one, with some real world pratical applications for the
ordinary card box.
Sankey, much to my surprise, is actually a great teacher and presents
his real world ideas with clarity. Slieght of hand with this effect is minimum at best. If you can
work a TT, perform a switch, or finger palm a coin, you can do Pandoras Box with little problems.
Oh, and Sankey goes on to teach some simple sleghts for beginners in the DVD. I really liked his
mercury card fold, and he teaches it very well. I really got my moneys worth with this one, though I
wouldnt pay the 20 bucks its going for now.
About the gimmick. What can I say, I see it
lasting a very long time. In fact once you get the idea of how the gimmick works and do need to
replace it,you can very easily make your own.
Over all, Great product, minimal slieght of
hand and excellent teaching and concepts.I cant beleive I got a great peice of magic for 2 dollars,
thats just unheard of now a days. Peace!!

When looking at this, you would think it is a terribly old and unoriginal effect. However, after
viewing the DVD, I can say that this isn't so. Sankey has some interesting ideas here.
This
is a clever way to do a practical rattle box. This has been touched on by many magicians, and Sankey
has an interesting and rather practical method for doing it. His handlings on the DVD are alright,
and you may use this.
It's cool, but not revolutionary. For what it comes with, I would
almost rather it be a bit cheaper.
Overall, I'm happy with it.

This is one of my best magic purchases. I have bought a lot of penguin and only disliked one of
their products, but this blows the others away. I got this in Coolbox, however, I believe it would
have been worth it even without the discount. This product meets all the requirements it said it
would and more. Here are some of its attributes:
The Basic Method
This product allows
you to vanish any small object, borrowed or signed, and have it reappear in a sealed card box. And
you can HEAR it inside. Great effect.
Fitting the Gimmick and your Cards
As
guaranteed, you can still fit your cards in the case even with the gimmick installed. I am a card
and coin magician so this is very nice to be able to hold cards in a gimmicked case that can do coin
tricks.
Change
Another awesome attribute of the Pandora's Box is the fact that you can
stick a red ring or a penny or whatever in the case, shake it to show it's there, then pour it out
to show it's changed into a different color or coin or object. You can make one colored ring change
to another, penny to quarter, or whatever you could want. Awesome effect with awesome reactions.
Disappearance
With the gimmick, you can stick something in a card case, have it
disappear after hearing it in the card case, then have it reappear anywhere you want. Super easy
too!
There are a ton of other things you can do with the Pandora's Box, but I can't quite
name all of them. There are too many. Jay teaches incredibly well, and he even teaches you a few
routines that weren't even advertised!! Awesome Gimmick, great teaching, worth 5 stars. You can't
go wrong with this item.

The headline says it, Jay is a great teacher. I really like his presentations and this trick is
very easy to do and understand for anyone. All of his DVDs which I've purchased have been high
quality and he goes into great detail and really puts it into every day person language. Anything
with his name on it I generally look at and typically buy. Fun effect, easy to make gimmick, great
teaching earns this five stars from me.

I like it easy to perform can be added to lots of tricks or used on its own .Had to laugh at the
disciption specially machined gimmick can't say why with out giving the secret away. But having said
that it works very well. Buy it you wont be dissapointed.

First of all, that´s my first penguinmagic review ever and that is for a reason. Pandora´s Box is by
far the most underrated Jay Sankey Product. Just performed it to my younger siblings (6&9 yrs) and
they are sceptics and often get behind secrets. However this time they were simply stunned and
totally amazed. It´s such a simple, versatile and cool gimmick you´ll have on you all the time. I
simply love it, because at the end of the day you´re creativity has no limitations. You simply can
do so many things with it. If you´re a Jay Sankey fan, you´ll fall in love with Pandora´s Box!

OK: I'm not going to cut up card boxes. I'm not going to put tape inside them, either. But I *will*
use the noise-making idea with the material that comes with this DVD. Simple, brilliant, and
practical.

Its great if you're looking for an easy way to make a rattle box. The dvd quality is good and not
too short. I'd buy this again if needed.
