It was pretty good until he did his effect called "Window".. he went on how excited he was when he
came up with this when in fact hes taken one of Banacheks effects and changed it a little. It just
kind of turned me off about Ferguson. Also over using psychology skill gets annoying to me too. To
say an effect is solely based on that when in fact you've done nothing at all that has to do with
psychological trickery is just nonesense in my eyes. It has its place, but to shove it down their
throats is annoying.
Maybe i'm just picky and have a crush on Banachek, haha. Overall it
wasn't bad. Penguin>Elluionist any day.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THE ONLY TRICK THAT I FOUND VERY USEFUL THAT I ADDED TO MY MENTALISM IS THE
TRICK CALLED WINDOW. OMG AT FIRST I WAS LIKE YEA THIS AINT GONNA WORK. BUT DANG IT MAKES YOU LOOK
SUPERNATURAL PEOPLE FLIP OUT. SOME OF THE CONCEPTS ARE OLD SCHOOL BUT HEY EVEN I FORGOT ABOUT THEM
AND BROUGHT THEM BACK AND THEY GET KILLER REACTIONS. I RECOMMEND IT JUST FOR THE WINDOW TRICK.WOW
ITS A REPUTATION MAKER. I RECOMMEND IT.

This is not the place for exposure or being haters. I saw another comment and had to saw that this
DVD is full of TONS of material. There is such a saturations out there of one trick wonders and this
is packed with great, practical material I'll use forever. There appears to be some ideas that are
tweaked from other areas of magic, but if you really pay attention, I believe even the haters will
agree this is a goldmine for someone who does not have a professional library. I believe Window, for
instance, is a massive improvement on past ideas. I never liked any of the past versions for my
person style. I dig it very much. Awesome stuff.

I agree with the previous reviewers that Window is the best effect on this DVD. The crediting
leaves much to be desired. However there are good mentalism effects. I prefer Max Maven, Richard
Osterlind, and Banachek, but I think this is worth a look.

There is a lot of material in this DVD. It is taught well and pretty easy to perform for how
powerful some of the effects can be.
As a mathematician I am offended by routines that
contain lies or nonsense about math. This DVD contains some of this, but even ignoring those effects
there is a lot of value.
If you are interested in mentalism, you should definitely consider
this DVD.

Mentalism differs from conventional magic in that the actual tricks (usually visual in nature) used
in magic are the magician's "flourish," as Mr. Ferguson explains in this DVD.
A mentalist's
character, presentation and delivery... these combined are his "flourish."
Selling the
effects in one's mind through the mentalist's showmanship is his craft, versus having a mere gimmick
or trick steal the show away from the magician's persona.
Anyone can perform the tricks on
this DVD, though it will take a true memorable character to build-up the reputation desired from
performing these effects, and others.
If you'd like to be taken seriously in mentalism
instead of being suspected of mere trickery, buy this DVD, practice what you learn, and let your
character sell the effects.
Please don't watch this DVD and go out performing these effects
immediately without practicing on how others will perceive you first.
I mention all of this
because these are mistakes that I personally made performing these effects for the first time when I
started out.
I performed all the tricks in this DVD on strangers, yet my reactions were
slightly above mediocre.
I went home, viewed the DVD a few more times, practiced until I
got it all down perfect, went out, and still got slightly above mediocre reactions.
What
the Hell was I doing wrong? Do these effects just suck?!
No...
It was ME.
I didn't look the part, talk the part or act the part at all. I couldn't sell these effects, as
good as they looked because my delivery was stale.
Fast forward a year, as now I get
bookings for gigs using material I started with on this DVD!
It's all about character.
These effects are great, and you'd do well to look into Mind Tricks and Mentally HYP if you're
just getting started into mentalism.
I'd also lookup material by Banachek & Luke Jermay if
you're looking for some advanced material.
Good luck!

This is a great DVD for anyone just starting out in mentalism or for people that has been doing it
for a little while. The effects in here are very good! Most of them I have seen before but that does
not matter. If you have been doing mentalism for a while I would not get this because these are not
the most powerful effects. Again, great for anyone starting out!

Rich has a great ability to create believable narratives around simple tricks.
The DVD is
rich in ideas and presentation. For example, he takes a simple equivoque and spins a story around
it that totally takes the focus off of the method.
He puts a lot of effort into this
DVD....it is not just a bunch of tricks, but he gives creative ideas on presentation....and that is
why we are here, right?

Rich's best effect is Banacheks, and Rich bores us with his "god like psychoanalysis skills" which
of course he has none of. This is a bad DVD buy Banacheks psi series instead.
