The magician brings out a small wooden box and places it down on the table. Next, he has a playing card freely chosen and signed by a spectator. The signed card is shuffled back into the deck, then the magician asks, "Do you think that I can find your card in less than ten seconds without even looking at the cards?"

He holds the deck behind his back for several seconds, then brings it out and announces, "I have found it!" He pauses briefly, then continues, "And guess where it is..." He points to the wooden box that has been resting on the table all along.

There’s absolutely no way the card could be inside because no one has been anywhere near the box! The magician slowly reaches over with his empty hand, and picks up the box. He then brings it over to the spectator and says, "Please remove the lid." The spectator lifts the lid, and sees a folded card inside. The magician turns the box over and dumps out the card, then places the empty box down on the table.

The spectator unfolds the card. It is his card with his signature!

The routine is easy to learn with no difficult sleight-of-hand, and several interesting variations are included.

The Mystery Box is made from solid hardwood by a master craftsman. It looks like an elegant container, not like a gimmick or prop. At the conclusion, you can leave the box on the table for the audience to handle. They won’t find anything unusual!

**At The End...The Audience Can Examine The Box!**

When I got this I just chuckled "haw haw haw this one is going to KILL"

a perfectly executed gimmick which creates a perfect effect. I use this EVERY DAY.

It even fools me, just playing around with it!

Perfectly made, worth the $$

I substituted the Kennedy box for Tommy Wonder's "Card to Ring Box", and it's perfection. I finish my act with Ambitious Card to Kennedy box. Pull Tommy's routine up on Youtube if you haven't seen it...and watch the audience reaction.

I LOVE the kennedy Mystery Box! Like all other Kennedy products the craftsmanship and the detail is PERFECT! It's one of those "feel good" gimmicks! I just love starting a routine that will end with this because I am thinking in my head "wow! these spectators have NO idea what's coming!" ADD TO CART!

Huge Moments in a Tiny Box Report this review

I think that the reviews that bring this down a bit, and blow it off as "30 seconds of magic" are missing the point and value.

This box turned Ambitious Card into a table hopping closer for me. You should not be using this as a "one-off" sort of effect...but a perfect and impossible topper to a set.

The same notion exists in Sankey's Paper-Clipped, but here it is presented a little more ornately. To greet a table, lay this box down "for later", go into a set, and cap the set via something visible and interesting that you haven't been near the ENTIRE time has gathered me quite the wallet full of tips in my time on a restaurant floor.

It's Kennedy, so it's unfortunately pricey, but the mileage I've gotten out of this has more than taken care of the return of investment. Highly recommend for the workers out there...when you can get it, lol. :)

This is another great trick put out there by John Kennedy. The materials you get are made of high quality materials so this will last you a long time. In addition to this great signed card to impossible location trick, you also learn a secret move that you will use for other tricks. If you have some extra cash and are looking for a great new trick, pick this up and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Alright this is a trick that you can kill your spectators with, everything is about timing with this effect and presentation. Its expensive sure, why not get something else like a dvd or a card to wallet... You could but this is an effect you must put time and effort into, you don't just pick this up and get the best reactions with it. You have to practice timing and presentation. Don't let that scare you off because it really isn't that hard to do or present as long as you practiced and know what you're doing. I use this as my finisher for ACR, ACR is an effect that uses the same idea of mystery box and that is presentation and timing. Really if you actually put some effort into this you cant go wrong, you will use this thing for ever. This is an outstanding effect I give an A+.

If you didn't figure it out by watching the video, then by all means buy it. But for 30 seconds of magic its just a bit pricey for me, I would suggest picking up a copy of Front Row Sankey and checking out full lotus which in my opinion is a much better version.

Mystery Box II is my favorite trick Report this review

Great, great trick. And, contrary to other reviews here, this CAN be done without the sleight of hand required for Sankey's "Paperclipped." Very easy to do.

Great trick, easy to do and a great climax to an ambitious card routine. Very clever gimmick.
