Just performed this the other day for about 9 coworkers and killed them with it, did it a second
time right away and totally blew them away. I totally downplay the math and make a big deal about
the pen I use as I have them draw what they choose and then I take the pen back carefully and hold
it tightlty and rotate it as if I'm getting a psychometric reading off of it. I'm dead
serious...until I get the image....I smile and then draw it as if it came to me all of a sudden. As
soon as they see my drawing they gasped and blurted out no way. No word of a lie, I have one of
them believing that I really do have powers.

Despite Jay Sankey's wild, loud and very animated style in presenting his magic trick, Jay is a very
good teacher; one of the best. He knows the psychology of magic presentation and he points out to
you what is appropriate and enough. Specifically to this trick, 99, the performer can repeat the
trick back-to-back and instead of waiting for someone to request "Do it again" as we would normally
be requested, Jay advised in his DVD to just turn to another spectator and offer to show it again.
I took his advice, never waited even a half of a second to get the request, I immediately perform on
another person in the crowd, and some people expressed that I must be an X-Men. That is how good
the trick and teaching from Jay are.

I love the effect of naming a thought of object without asking any questions; however, the math
required often leads to mistakes by the spectator. When it hits........ it destroys

36 minute video. No intrusive music, good sound, light, and video quality. No routine demonstration
with or without a real audience is given.
Ad claim: "No fishing WHAT SO EVER" "MERELY
THINK OF AN OBJECT" from the list. Self working. Video ad shows numerous object predictions.
NOT TRUE. Spectator is require to perform several math processes. You can performed this twice
ONLY without repeating.
If I had known all of the above I would not have bought 99.
My
belief is Jay Sankey was deliberately misleading to increase sales. It does work. Just not in the
manner presented.
This is the last time Jay Sankey gets a purchase from me.

I gave this piece a 5 star review for the following reasons:
1- it packs smaller than nearly
every trick I own
2- its impact on the audience...in this case my grad students & private
patients-- is absolutely breathtaking.
Noone has figured it out and all beg to know the
secret, but mt lips are sealed.
Finally, it's the greatest way I know of for frocing a
word.
Thank Jay for youe excellent work

I love 99. I've been performing it constantly. Highly recommended. This effect convinces people that
you truly read their mind. A must have for any magician that enjoys mentalism.

The description leaves out a little information, but it's still a great effect.
One thing
I really like about Sankey's releases are the flexibility of the routines.
Sure, you could
rescript any routine for your own persona, but Sankey's effects feel like they're built to be
adaptable to anyone's style, regardless.
So while the description isn't 100% honest, I'll
say this: I got a lot of use out of this routine when I first learned it.
Like anything
that isn't earth shattering, I moved on eventually. But that doesn't mean you should pass this up.
I'd say, if you tend to like Jays work, you will dig this one as well.
Really,
the only thing I don't like about it is the description.

As with all of Sankey's effects, he builds on classic and clever methodology without the reliance on
complicated or intrusive gimmicks.
This is his "Soundwaves" but with a wider reach as
Soundwaves may miss some of your audience depending on age and taste. Although I do like Soundwaves
better in terms of its organic feel. Nevertheless 99 is clever. I like that if handled well you have
an instant repeat ability.
Thought I knew how this was done. I was wrong. He teaches a very nice force that is very
practical, and gives you good instructions on how to handle some of the inherent weakness of this
force.
Sankey never dissapoints
99 is a clever presentation of an old-time number force. The nice thing is that the effect can be
repeated, if needed with a different item revealed. Whether you use the effect, as it is, Jay's
thinking on the use of the force is worth the price of the DVD and more!
