OK..lets look at the pro side-this is a very good idea, you can perform miracles. I'm serious, this
is very clever trick. You don't need any gimmicks and you can perform any where.
Down side- If
you are a black or a person who has a dark skin, you can not do this trick.Well, you can perform but
it will be so obvious.
Overall its a nice trick, but only for a white or very light skin
person.

While I am sure Mr. Weber can sell this, it does not play well for us less beefy guys. The hand
position is awkward, and you must keep your distance. Sorry, but not working for me.

I will never use this trick, maybe my hands are too small or they don't bend enough, but it does not
work for me. The video sounds great, way classier than the effect ittself. I would never recommend
this trick to anyone. Maybe I am missing something or not presenting it correctly, but I simply
don't like it.

I mentioned in a previous review that I have Open Box Addiction, and this is another instance. I got
this for 85 cents from the Open Box. It was so cheap, I knew it was dumb, but I bought it anyway.
It should have originally been a $2 (that's being generous) download, and presented as a
bar gag. Geoff mentions doing this for parlor. I almost laughed myself out of my chair when he said
that.
If you like the effect or you're curious about the method, and you can get it
super-cheap from the Open Box (I'm talking $1 or lower), get it. I usually try to glean some wisdom
from even the lamest tricks, but there are some that are complete misses.
If you're into
Scam School-type tricks, and perform often in bars, I would recommend this to you, but, again, for a
buck or two at most.
There's a reason this is always in the Open Box. This isn't even
worth storing in my magic junk drawer. Straight to the trash!

alright folks...… there is nothing natural about this setup for this illusion. it is so fishy from
presentation to end. the only people you will fool are those too drunk to notice the totally
un-natural position of your hands and fingers. even during the presentation on the video you can
see the ink that is supposed to be hidden. also if you cant tell the side of a finger from the
front...… something is wrong with you. I have purchased over 130 tricks from penguin.....a handful
I felt duped into buying. this is the first one im sending back. save your money.

This wasn't for me. It might work well for others. The dvd was good and the music, but the trick
itself just didnt have that amazing quality to it.

Geoff Weber
"Imagine being able to show your hand completely empty, then borrow a pen and write
the word coin on your finger. With the shake of your hand the word coin transforms into a real coin.
Or you approach a group of spectators show your hand to have nothing on it and suddenly your name
appears on your finger. These are only some of the unlimited possibilities that you can do with the
X Finger principle."
X Finger
Method:
The method is very clever, and allows you to
do some of the coolest things possible.
Gimmick:
No "gimmick" is required, if you have
a pen you are set to go.
Set-Up:
This does not take very long, a minimum of 5 seconds
and maximum of around a minute, depending on the version of which you are performing.
Teaching:
WOW. Is all I have to say, everything is gone over with excellency. The teaching
did not miss anything, and because of this you will be performing with ease and will not have to
rewind.
Quality:
The quality of the video is excellent just like all of the other
PaperCrane videos.
Variations:
There are many variations that they go over in the
video, I am not going to go over all of them but I will go over my favorite Card Divination.
Card Divination:
This effect on the video is my favorite for several reasons:
-I am a
card guy
-It is extremely hard hitting
-Presentation is clever
The basic idea of
Card Divination:
-A spectator selects a card
-You show your hand empty
-Reach and touch
their forehead, and BANG
-Your hand has now got their card written across it
This is just 1
of the several great ideas they have put on the video.
All ideas that are shown on the video are
also taught.
Overall:
- Great Buy
- Many ideas and effects
Rate - 9/10

There is probably no better effect to do when someone comes up to you out of the blue and says "Do a
trick". I just love this. Also, they go through many different variations and there are a zillion
more. You can have a word change into another, you can show your hand blank and "grab" a card from
someone's thoughts, Write one card on your finger, show it as an incorrect revelation, and have it
change into the correct card, etc. So many options.
I will say that when I first got it and saw
the DVD for a few minutes, and tried it, I wasn't impressed. When I learned the technique and how
they have applied it, I thought this is just great.
If someone asks you to do magic, all you
need is your hand and a pen! Highly recommend it!

xFingerx is more a method than an effect. It offers you the possibility of making a variety of
words, pictures, or even (very small) real objects appear or disappear from your fingers. With
average-sized handwriting, I can fit three or four letters on my finger--if I had more legible
penmanship, I could probably fit five or six letter words.
I haven't seen anyone yet write
the list of effects offered on the video, and although it misses a few, I wrote the following list
down while watching the video just now:
1. Playing Card Appearance
2. Serial Number
Appearance
3. Time Someone Died, Phone Number, Credit Card Number
4. Etch-a-sketch (Line
drawn at right angles disappear)
5. Boomerang (Draw boomerang, throw it, it disappears, and
then it comes back)
6. Make Blister Disappear
7. Word Transpositions ("Live to Evil" as
shown on demo)
8. Arrow Switch (Arrow reverses direction)
9. Drawn Object into Real Object
(Bullet routine and needle routine shown, coin routine hinted at)
10. Traveling Flies (Flies fly
back and forth between your hands)
I think this is a worthy purchase even at full retail
price, given that you are receiving 10+, ready-to-go effects and you can come up with further
divinations, revelations, and disappearances on your own.
Lastly, a number of reviews here
seem to be judging the method's apparent simplicity rather than the effects. A simple method that
is difficult to reverse-engineer should disappoint no magician, as the effect matters most--not the
method. For example, to see a simple TT* might be disappointing to a beginning magician as the
secret behind some wonderful classic magic tricks, but an experienced magician knows that the effect
matters-not the (simple) method. *A TT is NOT used in xFingerx!
