This is without a doubt THE most visual routine you can possibly perform. It looks like trick
photography in real life. I have never seen anything like it. I've had magicians say "do that
again" and if you try this in the mirror, you'll fool yourself. Laymen will FREAK, and I mean FREAK
when you perform this for them, especially if you have the chance to use THEIR RING. Now is this
hard to learn? And the answer is no, but if you give this routine the practice and the time to get
it down perfectly, well, you saw how it looks in the demo and it will look even better in real life.
The entire dvd is really one big routine.
In the description, it looks like you get 6
different routines, but what you really get is the Ring master routine, followed by 4-5 moves that
go perfectly with the ring master routine. This is not a knock on the dvd in any way, it's just a
little missleading in the description when the other effects besides Ringmaster have "routine" in
their title vs. "ring moves". Regardless, if you combine all of these moves together, you get an
incredibly visual full throttle ring routine.
Also in addition to all of this, you also
get the kicker ending with a pool ball. And if THAT wasn't enough, you can even do something with
the pool ball and perform the Shrinking Pool Ball, which again is super visual and hits them right
between the eyes. When you produce the pool ball to begin with, it just hits the spectators out of
left field. Then when you visually shrink the pool ball and just as visually make it go back to
it's original size, the spectators just have nowhere to go. Their minds are blown away.
Please don't pay any attention to the negative reviews, trust me, this is something you will use
every day of your life. Get this right now, spend the time mastering it, then turn it loose on
everyone you come in contact with.

I make a living doing magic, and this is the most magical close up I have seen in quite a while. To
top it off, it is not difficult. I went to buy a larger ring today at a flea market, and was
practicing for the first time with the new ring before I bought it, and the sales people's mouths
literally dropped. I didn't realize they were watching. While I need to practice, I don't expect to
put in a lot of work!
This looks like real magic.

Once you get the move down and practice it, you will floor ppl. Combined with Ring Thing, De'Ring,
and a few coin sleights (a ring is the size of a small coin) you will have yourself some serious
material for some awesome go to routines.

David Jays Ringmaster has fallen short of my expectations as well as revealing some of the
unexpected. I agree with Rapha on many levels, most of the tricks any one with an eye for magic
could easily deduce the method (save a few of the handlings.) by simply watching the trailer, which
is just a compilation of the so called performances.
The segments dubbed as performances are
more demonstrations, there is very little routining in the "six routines" the strongest and nicest
commentarry being the eightball finale which is one I do plan on putting into the routine I am
currently concocting.
Threads on other websites suggested it came with the eightball, which it
didnt, you think that one of the fifty cent locks may of come with it, it didnt.
Sure there are
some nice moves here but would have really liked to have seen more perfomances like Jay and Oz, and
even Greg Wilson do. But instead it was very choppy not much thought in the pscycology of delivering
the trick was discussed.
I bought this because I thought it a natural addition to Ring Leader
by Gregg Wilson but to be honest this dvd may have added two three minutes top to my routine, wish I
would have waited for this to hit the coolbox!

Not for the novice, these are excellent tricks, only if you can pull it off like a pro, and you
won't. You need a PHD in sleights to really do these tricks they way they were intended. I think
the instructions were a bit rushed too....wasn't real crazy about this purchase.

This DVD is casual and entertaining yet one of the best instructional DVDs I have seen. There are no
gimmicks but the manner in which you are shown the handwork is done in such a way that it is easy to
practice a bit and get good results. The host and artist are also very good at providing ideas that
leave the door open for creativity and inovation in the routines. Outstanding, I have actually
started wearing a ring again. But as I tell my audience "the only way a ring will get on this single
man's left ring finger is by magic" and then it is there!!! It get's a laugh and suprisingly a good
bit of female attention. Enjoy! Highly recommended!

I keep thinking the move created by David Jay to put the ring back on his finger is great. But
actually, you can understand it by just watching carefully the trailer. And this is the case for
almost all the moves treated in this DVD. There is nothing more than what you can see in the trailer
(except a cool bonus idea with pool ball).
Be carefull when expecting "6 full routines". This is
just a lie! There are not 6 routines at all, but only one! There are actually 6 "moves" (and nothing
more than what you see in the trailer). This is really different.
Finally, this is quite
disappointing. The main move is good, but the DVD is really expensive. It doesn't worth it.

I was excited when I ordered this, but when I popped in the dvd, it didn't take long to realize that
this is going to be extremely difficult or impossible to learn quickly, and I get the time required
to learn all magic, but this was just an investment (in time) that might be right for some, I just
don't have the time top perfect this as it will take thousands of trying over and over until it
finally clicks I guess, you must have superior dexterity to master this, but I suppose once you do
master it, this can be a devastating trick to many observers, so I say buy it only if you want to
put in the time to master.

I have a lot fun performing many of the ring f/x from David's D.V.D. U can just add 2 or 3 for the
times someone asks U 2 do some magic and have nothing on you (magic props that is). It is also good
2 play it up that "I left my magic at home but may I borrow your ring and we can try something
special with something special of yours. Just an idea that will never fail U if U learn a few 4 good
- fast - visual magic.
What more can you say about David Jay's Ringmaster? The effects are visually stunning, nearly angle
proof and a wonderful complement to the excellent work of Garrett Thomas and De'vo. The moves will
take you several days to weeks to master, but then you'll have several shocking appearances,
transformations and productions to add to your toolkit. If you wear a a band-type ring (the black
magnetic ring from Wizard works great), you need this video.
