I love this trick, it is very easy to perform and it's highly deceptive.
even if you know how
the trick is done, you can still be fooled, one of my spectators actually thought he figured it out
once, and he was correct, but just by doing the trick I could prove him wrong.
I carry this
trick with me everywhere, perform it daily, and it has never let me down and I never get bored with
it.
a must have for every magician.

This is an incredibly fun-to-do, fun-to-perform trick with a solid premise and beautiful structure.
It's a reaction machine and a great worker for everyone, including walk-around since it's all in the
hands. Garrett is a great teacher and you'll learn all the necessary moves without trouble. A sure
fire buy.

I stopped doing gimmicked card tricks a while ago but this is a beautiful trick that is easy to
carry around but packs a big punch (not to mention little sleight of hand needed). Though the cards
are not examinable, the trick is brilliantly worked so the spectators never think to examine the
cards. This is an easy trick to keep in your pocket next to your card case and will be your go-to
trick. Add to cart + get overnight shipping. You won't regret it.

This is definitely one of my new favorite tricks! I used to do color monte but this has replaced it!
its great for table magic or for strolling. Garrett's teaching is incredible and the video quality
is outstanding.
My only downfall was some spectators might be nosey and want to look at
all the cards at the end but they are not 100% examinable. But I added a 3 card switch at the end of
my monte so then I hand all cards to the spectators and it works great!

I like the monte card tricks and when I watched the performance of Garrett's I was just baffled.
I bought a couple of weeks ago and here are my thoughts on it:
Packaging: It comes on a
cardboard casing, which does protect everything, so you don't have to worry about your gimmicks
getting bent on their way to you, but I would prefer a plastic DVD case, because I do think that the
way you store the DVD in this will eventually scratch and ruin it.
Gimmicks: They are the
quality you'd expect. I got mandolin backs, but you can use your own Bicycle or Tally-Ho cards if
you prefer.
DVD content quality: Great. Both over-the-shoulder and from the front teaching and
great image quality too. First you watch two full performances, then Garrett goes over every detail
of the routine, and as he explains each sequence and move, that part of the real-world performance
is shown.
Difficulty: Easy. If you can handle cards, you can do it.
Effect: I fool myself
doing it to the mirror. It is that good.
All in all: Just buy it already. These were the best I
have ever spent.

Great trick..
Explanation video is very confusing and lengthy.

This is a very powerful performance for your friends that leaves them with their mind blown.
I'm not a strong performer but this has boosted my confidence level by a lot.
It took
about an hour to learn, another hour to get smoother, and an hour of practicing dialogue etc.
I highly suggest this. You won't be disappointed.

This has become one of my favorite close-up/walk around routines to do. People really like the
"buyer beware" aspects of the presentation I use (I'm trying to keep them from being ripped off by
showing how easy it is to be deceived). The instruction on the DVD is complete and the gimmick can
be easily replaced if worn out (which I'm sure to do with how much I've been doing this one).
Garrett shows several performances with varying patter to allow you ideas to construct your own
style of presentation. The sleights are very easy to learn and perform. This one is definitely a
keeper!

Glad so many buyers like this. I did not. I found it very hard to perform. Some of the reviews
say “easy.” Not easy for me. After two days, I gave up on the written instructions - and went to
the video. WHAT??? The moves taught in the instructional video actually tip off the method. The
video admits that it is “complex” to perform. I prefer illusions that have high impact, but require
little skill. Over at the Magic Cafe, I saw someone else who purchasedthis, and is now searching
for a simpler monte. Me too.

The effect is fun and works well with audiences. Garrett's explanation leaves much to figure out on
your own. You have to watch and rewatch to really get the effect down. At times it feels like he is
jumping around from place to place and you have to step back the video to make sure the cards are in
the right position.
It is a confusing effect due to the gimmick so it isn't completely his
fault but I think he could have done a little better. Overall it is a fun effect to add to any walk
around or parlor show!
