I just received my Spider pen pro after 2 months of waiting a watching the trailer like a few times
a week.
Wow. it was worth the wait.
As said before it is very clever to watch
the DVD before you start playing with the pen. Then you have to try on your own how this incredible
tool works and how intuitive it is. You really don't need to worry about the pen and if it will work
at the right time, because it will. You just need to get confident and become familiar with the
working of it. then you can just perform incredible miracles.
the thread is very thin and
real invisible but at the same time it is quite strong so you don't need to be afraid of breaking
the thread, as long as you know how to work with IT.
My advice for newbies to IT: before
you start working with the Pen better to gain experience with just the IT. just to get familiar with
it. But at the same unless you put too heavy objects or get the IT caught somewhere there is not
much chances to breaking the IT.
Add to card if you wanna have a powerful tool in your
hands.
it is worth the money. May be they just could have throw in one extra spool and a
few waxes.

So, being TOTALLY new to thread work(...no less reel work), I find this to be a real eye-opener. The
product, the spider pen, is better than you can imagine it to be. Firstly, DO NOT play with the
spider pen before you watched the dvd all the way through (you'll owe me and Haviz one). haha You'll
have fun playing with it, understanding the inner-workings of the pen, and even though at first the
method may seem linear, there are MANY possibilities.
I HIGHLY recommend watching and
reading and absorbing other people with their thoughts on thread work, and replacing every method
with the spider pen. It's just that good. :) For example, you can combine Spider Pen with the DVD
Peki's Art Of Floating, and the spider pen will do ALL the work for you. hahaha it's bomb. Or you
could take methods that use loops, and replace them with the spider pen. Gonna try Irishd0g's advice
cuz I'm having too much fun with this versatile playtoy. Haven't had this much fun since W.O.W.
Anywho, to sum it up, $150 is a lot, but if you had to buy only one thing this year, and
make a living off it, I'd go with Spider Pen Pro. With a device like this, you really have to let
your mind go...and wander,imagining all the possibilities..( heck, you could probably make whole
act out of it if you're determined enough). Simply put, the new Spider Pen Pro wasn't made to be
used, it was made to be abused!!! hahaha

Having never worked with reels, I was eager to get my hands on this. This reel is a well thought out
piece of magic. After taking the time to get use to how it works and using it,my imagination ran
wild. The possibilities with this pen are limited only by your imagination. If your planning to do
this for your webcam DO NOT waste your time. This is ideal for everyday performance and is meant to
drop jaws. I can't wipe the smile from my face even in performance. I did the zero gravity bill
downtown just for a few friends and before i knew it I had generated a crowd. NOT HAVING TO SAY A
WORD. I was enjoying just using it while they enjoyed watching. This ITR lets you take your mind off
how to perform and just perform, getting lost in the magic with your audience. The only mistake you
can make buying this is not ordering it with EXPRESS shipping.

I got my Spider Pen Pro yesterday and i´ve played with it now for a while and i can say that it is a
good device but not as great as some people say. I have been working with IT for a while and i love
the levitation effects. What is positive about this device is that you end up clean and you can show
your hands empty.
One of the things i dont like about the Dvd is that he never shows for
real people how he sets up for the tricks. He just gives advice on where and how you can use it, but
he doesnt show it himself, every time you see him doing it in public the tricks are already
halvways. I just think it would be great to see him in real action, from scratch! But if you are
planning on getting serious you wont have any problems on solving the issues.
If you read
this, BUY EXTRA SPOOLS AND EXTRA WAX! your thread will get broken and you will need more wax! It
takes a while to get comfortable working with IT, but once you master it you will get amazing
reactions!
A bit expensive, but definitely worth it, buy it! and combine with loops!

Bought it from my local magic shop, this is the worst effect I've ever bought. Very disappointed. He
barely goes over how it works in the video and only goes over the effects, which are useless when
you don't know how the stupid thing works! I'm extremely disappointed with this and would not
recommend it to anyone!

Firstly I would like to congratulate Mr Mesika for producing a superior product.
I will try
to write this in a way it can be useful for those considering purchasing it.
The new unit runs
more smoothly with less resistance than any other ITR and as a result is more powerful then the old
spider pen. Because of this increased tension you do need to be to be more careful not break the IT.
This is something you simply need to get used to with practice in order to get the "knack". On the
positive side if the IT breaks it is much easier than before to reset as the precision ITR does not
tangle nearly as much.
The construction is excellent with 1 defect- the point of the pen is
screwed on with plastic threads which tend to strip when changing the battery. I must say personally
I do not need the pen tip because I never use it as a pen as it is clipped inside a pocket. Never
the less some may be disappointed when the point strips off so I recommend being very careful when
opening the pen for the first time to install the battery.
The pen can do exactly what you see
on the video including the bill floating from the floor to your hand. This is because the pen is
brilliantly engineered, The DVD was very good and included some never before addressed issues such
the proper way to secure the wax on the IT.
If you have never used IT I do not recommend
this product until you try it with other less expensive effects to decide whether IT is for you.
I have had a lot of fun and great reactions from this product.`

This weekend i had a performance for about 100 people and they went real crazy about it. As soon as
I stepped back like 6 feet they did not know how is that possible.
So even more then i
thought this device is real great.
You don't need to focus on the device. it is there for
you. you just focus on the performance and the reactions you get.
Just one tip. Check your
lighting when you perform parlour or stage. When you have fog there you are fine, but still be
cautious.

This is without doubt the best thread reel to date; however, there are obvious improvements that
should be addressed. Probably the first is that the cap does not match the rest of the pen and the
other is that the threads holding the pen portion are set too deeply and barely catch, resulting in
a loose fit. Other than those things this reel is the new standard for all others to aspire to.
Some of the highs (major improvements over others or the previous version) is battery life, not to
mention that it uses a regular AAA and not the garbage little button cells. Soul technology which
is "auto on" as soon as you put tension on the line, followed by auto off after 30 seconds of no
movement which can also be used during performances. This thing WORKS!!

This is the worse product I've bought off penguin. This didn't work out of the box. It works for 5
seconds then dies and I have to take it apart and put it back together to get it to work again. Not
to mention, I just tried the pen part to see if the tip came out as the DVD says it does. Two tries
in to it, it fell apart into 3 pieces. Now I have to glue it all back together. For a hundred bucks
I'd figure it would work completely from the get go and not fall apart less than 2 hours into
getting it. Beware, you may get a good one in the mail but you may get a garbage piece that falls
apart super quick. This is the only penguin purchase I regret 100%

It seems like I waited forever to receive this thing. I ordered it back in May based on nothing but
hopes, dreams, and hype. I just got it today and I will tell you, this really is the most
professional piece of magic I think Ive ever received. I agree with previous advice, watch the DVD
before you start to play. It is not exactly delicate, but it also doesnt come with extra spools
straight out of the box. So if you break the spool straight out, well, youll be waiting an extra
week to have fun with it. The price was slightly off putting. I have purchased magic for this price
before, and basically felt burned. Not this time. Ive only tried one of the effects possible with
this thing and that alone makes it worth the money. So easy to finish clean with this thing. I am
not a professional magician but I will call myself an avid hobbyist/hack,and I could easily see
building an act off this device for a working pro. Really impressive, and appears to be very well
built. I actually tried to get the spool to stick/wind badly and I couldnt do it. In my opinion, a
very professional and sleek piece of equipment that instantly jumped to the top of my list.
