I ordered this directly from Bill about a year ago when he first released it, and have used it
hundreds of times in many, many professional gigs. This is THE most amazing, commercial effect you
will ever purchase. Many question people have:
- Do you need to use a knife? No, I use an
ice pick. You can also use a very sharp pencil or letter opener. Anything with an edge works.
- Can I use this for a kid or family show? YES! I made a modified version where you pull the
card out with your hand (instead of stabbing it), and still rip the bag. Then produce a small
stuffed animal out of the bad instead of a shot glass. PLAYS HUGE FOR FAMILIES!
Buy it.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. In my top 10 of all time.

I love Bill Abbott's materials.
This illusion is fun to perform. However the appearance
of
the glass is not congruous with the stabbed card.
Yet I would say that this illusion on it's own
is entertaining and enjoyable to watch and perform.
I plan to see if it will fit into a routine
using multiplying bottles. There seems to be a link that could put such a performance together.

this gets BIG reactions. ive done this about 6-7 times so far and it is unanimous the reactions it
gets. very easy to do...youll need to practice for smoothness. 30min tops then you can give this a
"shot." pun intended. seriously though im a mentalist and i dont want to confuse ppl by saying "i
dont do magic tricks, im a mentalist" but i will definately do this trick whenever i can. i love it!
heres what they see. a card is selected, signed, and legitimately lost in the deck. you
dont need to know where it is. you drop the shuffled deck in a paper bag(examined and thus verified
as empty), then shove a pen thru ripping it out and yes, its there signed card. as you put the cards
away you forgot one more thing in the bag...yep, its a full shot glass with liquid inside. thats the
part that really really messes the spectator up. theyre already amazed by the first part but then
comes the shot. "no f'n way!"

I have performed this for my parents and some close friends and the reactions I get are "Just
WOW"!!!!!
I love this effect and it's possible thanks to Bill Abbott!!!

I love this and use it to different ways currently, first is as the Stabbed and Shot routine the
second is in combo with both my regular egg bag routine and with PB&E. Its a little something extra
that can take a good routine and make it that much greater.
I like a routine that can be built up and used in multiple ways, this is one of those. It allows you
to produce a shot glass from just about anything including the stabbed and shot routine.
Quality,items and solid routine.
DON'T BUY THIS!! BECAUSE IT'S TOO GOOD FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW!!!! I recently got this effect and let
me tell you, it's one of the most amazing and speechless effects I have ever done. I still feel
amazed after overtime I do it! A spectator signs a card, and THEY PUT IT BACK and SHUFFLE the cards
themselves. You then place the cards in a brown bag, stab it, spin it, and pull out the knife with
the signed selection on it. And if that's not enough, you pull a full shot of liquid out of the bag.
Honestly, I really wish I thought of this because this trick is genius.
Very smart trick and plays great.
I gotta say the teaching on the DVD was excellent and
quite thorough. The gimmick materials provided were great too.
One method kind of involves
a force and I think forces are often obvious (probably because I'm not always great at forces) but
the trick really does not depend at all on a force - so - I actually decided to twist the idea a bit
and did it as a tossed deck, free selection which is then cut to the middle of the deck which at
that point then uses Bill's preferred technique going forward (he suggests this as an alternate
idea on the dvd).
Hilariously when I did this at a big performance recently I forgot to
have the volunteer sign the card - but even forgetting to do that the trick still went off amazingly
well and really wowed the audience.
If I were to be critical (and I love the trick)I'd say
the toughest part involves the handling of the shotglass production - but - it's really not
difficult in the slight of hand category (it's ultra easy actually) - but the complete production of
the shot glass with liquid requires a move that is for a second awkward and then immediately
forgiven because of how cool the effect is. I'm sure with practice I can make it look smoother - and
again the move is ULTRA easy - nothing new to learn any beginner can do it - but - without giving
anything away it calls slight attention to itself without giving away what you're doing as it would
be impossible for anyone to guess.
Bill has put together a complete five star trick and
routine and I cannot recommend it any higher. It's very easy to do and an audience mindbender!
Basically anything that Bill Abbott releases you can pretty much count on it being great. He really
gives You everything you need to perform unlike many other magicians
Bill Abbott has clearly done this routine hundreds if not thousands of times. This can be done up
close at banquet tables, at house parties, or on stage. He has a great routine for a wedding, and
tells you how to do it impromptu.
He teaches a great card control (The spectator shuffles
the deck!) and how to instantly reset for table-hopping/strolling performances.
The
teaching is in-depth. I believe this is a great value for a solid, versatile routine that can be
done almost anywhere.
