The effect is absolutely amazing and great in 2 ways!
1) It gets astonishing reactions, &
2) It's a treat to perform!
The only down side is that the cards, after a while, can
start to stick to each other, which makes the trick almost impossible to perform. This is my second
deck of "Spreadwave" and they are starting to stick again only after about 5-10 performances. Why
couldn't they have made the cards out of Bicycle stock, in which seemingly last forever?
Other than that, it is a must buy. Genius!

This one is right up there with Cardtoon. It is a truly unbelievable card revelation, with a highly
novel concept. This is a trick for people who don't like magic. Yes, you will need a table, and
reset takes about a minute, but the result is well worth it. Mathieu Bich is one of the most
creative minds in magic, and also one of the most devious. This one fools, and entertains, EVERYONE.
Note: this is the improved version - ANY card can now be named!

This trick is just amazing ! :) I recommend this trick to everybody wanting something special and
truly amazing :) The only problem is the television rights.. It isn't allowed to publice your
performance at the internet or at tv.. So if you are an Youtube magician, or performe at the tv, you
should take a look at another trick :)
The Dvd and deck are both perfect, and therefore
i'll give it 5 stars!
Highly Recommended !

This is what a card says inside the Spreadwave box:
"All legal owners who are in possession
of an original copy of Spreadwave have the right to perform this effect in non-recorded,
non-broadcast, live first-person, non-ticketed, non-theatrical performance settings only."
So basically, this restricts any professional from buying this. Actually, by those
restrictions, a ten-year-old isn't permitted to perform this at a talent show.
And also,
good luck enforcing those restrictions. The only way to know what you bought has those restrictions
is to open up the card box, which doesn't make them legally binding (see a similar losing Microsoft
lawsuit).
The trick is not bad, but buying this is pointless if I can't perform it.

I cannot recommend this trick more. It is my favourite trick I own.
This takes about a days
worth of experimentation with the deck and practice and you can get this down almost flawlessly. It
is such fun to perform as well. I think the best way to perform this effect is just like Mathieu
Bich did on Fool Us- using the advanced handling and Massive Attack soundtrack.
During my
first performance of this effect, i had my iPhone just lying on the table to play the music. The
response was some of the best i have had.
This effect has such a clever method and is
something different and truly amazing. Your audience will not expect it and the final revelation
often takes the breath away or even (as was the case for me) makes them chuckle in awe.
I
highly recommend this trick to anyone who does anything where this can be used- (shows, weddings
etc.). Although it is not ideal for close-up situations if you think you will have any use for it,
just purchase it!

I agree with other reviewers that this is a truly genius card magic effect. I love Mathieu's
approach to magic. This effect gets quick applause.
I do not agree that the reset takes a
minute. It takes around 20 seconds, tops!!! And I don't think it takes months to prefect. This is
an effect that one can train for in a weekend and then go out and perform! The lack of patter is
perfect as well! It needs none!
Purchase and enjoy the wows!

very technical. Too technical. The spectators expect that. They feel it too. Not good. It's not
terrible, but kinda. If you want to use a trick deck that cannot be inspected to do a trick that
requires lot's of space that is flat, and actually WANT to LOOK like an artist of slight of hand,
then go for it.

I got this yesterday and I will say that this trick is so much fun--it only took me 2 hours to learn
(I was expecting it to by way harder) and the method is simple enough that it will be easy to
remember longer term (if you need to understand the genius system, not memorize sequence of moves,
then it is easy). The cards are designed with hidden keys to make reset easy (about a minute). For
those that argue that the cards stick together, you could then make your own deck from a bicycle
black card stock. If this type of effect appeals to you as something super different, direct, and
memorable, I'd say go for it!

This is an amazingly creative effect. You can tell that a lot of work has been put into this trick.
It's very good! The DVD is very good although there is no speaking since Mathieu is French it is
very well-made. I performed this once for a large group of people and fried their brains! It got
great reactions.
The only downside to the trick is the cards that you receive are not Bicycle
and are very cheap. After a while, they tend to stick together. I found out that once I learned the
trick and performed it once the cards had already become stuck, making absolutely impossible to
perform.
Overall
DVD 5 stars
Effect itself 5 stars
Quality of the gimmick 1
star
Matheiu, I love your work but this went straight to the bottom of my drawer because I
can't perform it.

I was amazed at how simple it was to learn and perform the trick after watching the video and
learning the secret. Be carefull with a the cards as mine would slide around a bit when stacked and
might reveal a bit of the gimmick. Overall this is fabulous trick. It is true you dont force a
card and the 2.0 version even gives an alternative if an ace is chosen. Overall great trick but i
knocked it down a star for price, afterall its a quick video and a deck of cards.
