I loved the lecture very much. Wood shared quite a few tricks and sleights that are not published anywhere.

All of the tricks taught here are very easy and very hard hitting at the same time.

what i loved about the lecture was the tip he gave to all of us to be better magicians - to be humble, to learn from the masters.

It was real worth the money. I enjoyed the whole lecture and i enjoyed Eric as the host. That was brilliant idea.

Add to the cart if you wanna learn something i would say very unique.

Woody Aragon is one of my favorites, ever.
His humanity is present in everything he is and does, and I believe there can be no artistry without humanity.
His magic is always fresh, always fun, always surprising.

This lecture is no exception.

Besides that, and adding to the quality of the experience, the setting is neat, and the host is perfect: very brief introduction but with feeling, he knew who he was introducing, his questions are brief and to the point, and he never tries to steal the spotlight. He is warm, and also shows his humanity in a humble but elegant way.

If I have one regret, but not only for this lecture but to many, is that they seem to suffer, fading in quality and structure, as they are coming to the end. It seems that they finished all they had to share and there are still twenty minutes or so still available (before the interview, in this case), so they start fumbling, killing time, showing some moves that they don't usually do, or sharing things that don't quite belong to them and they slightly adapted, or maybe trying to remember a move that they once used a long time ago, or so.

I believe that lectures should either be planned/structured better to fit the requested amount of time, or they should be shorter.

Please continue the good work. It's invaluable material that we around the world can enjoy in the comfort of our homes.

A lively and charming manner! Incredibly innovative routines. Usable material. Simplified versions of useful sleights (a full deck false riffle shuffle for instance). Two routines that play to an entire audience, one with only a packet of cards, the other with no props at all! Memorized Deck tips. Insightful subtleties in routining. An extremely clever multi-phase routine "proving" you have the power to estimate cards and x-ray vision -- based on mathematical principles that defy explanation. A lecture well worth the investment in both cash and time. I will be watching again and again.

First lecture I have seen on Penguin Magic and I have to say it was just great. Woody performs and explains a bunch of cool card tricks and also a trick that involves just your hand. Please do yourself a favor and add to cart right now. Can't wait to see other penguin lectures.

Well worth the money. The tricks taught are all simple and hard-hitting, but the value really comes from Woody's insights and general demeanor. After listening to Woody, one is forced to reevaluate how they see their magic: are my methods effect or audience driven, or am I (selfishly) utilizing certain sleights, methods, procedures because I like them as a magician? Watching Woody work shows just how easy it can be to amaze and impress when one is "honest, humble, and follows the greats(of magic)".

Woody Aragon is one of my favorite performers, he is so entertaining and uplifting. On top of that he is a source of amazing original effects. BUT I have to say, I have a lot of trouble following his English when he is teaching. So I knocked off one star.
But I love Woody so much I would almost learn Spanish and get the Spanish version if their is one.
I guess I am the only one who has trouble following him otherwise they would stick on subtitles.

The material on this lecture is nothing short of amazing. Everything is super powerful. The man is a genius. In my opinion, one of the best tricks he taught was in the bonus footage when he and Eric were just talking. Empanadita!! It's such a creative idea. So simple and fair, the spectator does all the work. A must must buy!!!

After this lecture I understand what the fuss is all about. Perhaps I got on the Woody bandwagon later than a lot of people, but better late than never.

He is charming and the routines are excellent - joyfully clever, angle friendly, and not dependent on knuckle busting sleights.

Lucky In Love does require cards to be torn, but its worth it. The mathematics is well hidden esp. with the application of Alex Elmsley's principle.

The texas hold'em poker trick is something that I've been looking for - easy to follow and gives a nice magical punch in the end. It also got me interested in Wood's stack and the other properties he incorporated.

The finger ring routine is mathematical, but Woody streamlined it so it doesn't drag. It's plays well, but you'll have to choose a crowd that won't get easily offended by the ending.

I've always liked Nick Trost's Weight Guess routine, but Maverick took it to another level. Separagon is devious as it allows you to isolate cards while looking like the deck is still mixed. La Paradilla is a cunning combination of principles.

All in all, there are lots of golden nuggets sprinkled everywhere, so you get a lot more that just the routines.
