I didn't know mr. Rostmai till now. I was so surprised. Everything began in the ad video. This was
funny. So, i decided to participate of the lecture.
During the lecture I remember telling
myself 2 times: "beautiful magic" !
Guys, so many magics with an IPhone. For the first time
in my life I wished to had an iPhone :). He is so worried of the technology doesn't receive the
credits, that despite the magics happen in the iPhone, the spectator doesn't perceive this.
He is so generous that at the end of the lecture, we asked him do to an bonus magic, even if he
didn't want to expose the secret. Not only he did it, but he insisted in reveal the secret !
This guy is so creative. If you like magic and technology, this is the lecture ! Let's go to the
tricks:
- Cosmo 2 -> Out Of This World on steroids ! He let the spectator be the magician
and do almost all the trick !!!
- Future Photo -> He takes an photo (with an iPhone) of an
empty space and ask for the owner of the iPhone to choose an card. When the spectator sits down, he
asks she to see the photo that was taken before she choosed the card. And for the surprise, the last
photo taken from the gadget reveals to be one of the selected card !
- Power ball 6000 ->
Power ball on steroids ! He predicts on the phone the number that the spectator will choose in the
lottery tickets. Guys, this was so awesome.
He uses the same technology principle in so
many tricks !
- Stuck - > and now, one of the most beautiful part of the lecture. This is
an coin vanish. If like me, you are an magician, you already saw lot's of coin vanishes. But this is
so beautiful and simple ! I didn't resisted and before the end of the lecture I bought the DVD
(because he told that on the DVD he explains more variations). This is the first time that I bought
something during the lecture !!!
Back to Stuck, the coin vanishes and reappears. See the
You Tube videos or here at Penguin :) !
- The Claw -> Another coin vanish and reappears
trick. Again, beautiful magic !
At this point, he got back to the tricks that uses Apps and
the iPhone !
He presented an mentalism that the spectator selects an card, the magician
calls someone on the phone and the person tells which card was choosen. No assistants ! Only you and
the phone !
After that, he showed an variation where the spectator choosed an city and
called to the magician's phone. As the magician didn't answered the call, the spectator receives an
recorded message telling that the magician is in the choosed city ! Guys, when I saw that my jaw
dropped ! Awesome ! Unfortunately, these last two I can't do in my country as here we speak
portuguese instead of english ... but the principle is so powerful ! Hey Mr. Rostami, what about
release this in portuguese ;) !
Next trick is still an mentalism but for now, he uses the
NLP as a theme for the magic ! And again the iPhone passes unnoticed ! This is as you are doing the
magic, and not the App.
- A kind of invisible deck without the invisible deck -> He done a
kind of invisible deck routine and at the end, he used the IPhone to reveal the selected card.
Again, the same App, the same principle. As you can see, this is so powerful that you are limited
only by your imagination !
There are much more on the lecture !
Thanks Mr. Rostami
for this great lecture !
Thanks to penguin and specially to Nate Kranzo that asked almost
all questions that I done in twitter !

What I like is that much of his stuff doesn't require a lot of purchases. Most of his apps are very
affordable and he's got some great impromptu ideas. I am a huge fan of Out of this World so seeing
his ideas on this were great.

Cosmo 2: out of this world w/ 'special deck', fooled me.
Future photo: Routine taking pic of
future. uses gimmick. too much work in my opinion for the effect. Powerball: using an app with it,
nice idea. Stuck: awesome coin vanish ; claw coin vanish, great. bunch of app stuff (ipredict, ipro,
iforce, itelekinect)
overall, excellent, strong and practical magic. totally worth the
money in my opinion

Before I saw this lecture, I thought App-based magic was something funny to show off, but nothing to
be consider for your serious working repertoire.
However, Greg proved me wrong. Iforce is
an insanely awesome app and so is Ipredict. While I don't think I will use the latter one I bought
instantly the first one. In combination with powerball 60 Ipredict is such a great worker (he show
several application of Ipredict during his lecture).
Apart from the app magic I enjoyed
Greg's take on Out of this world (cosmos 2) as well as his two coin tricks.
Summing up: One
of the best lecture (for me Dani G., Woody Arragon and Michael Eaton gave the best lectures on close
up magic I have seen until now)

I have several of Greg's apps and really recommend this lecture. His work on classic card effects is
well thought out and very easy, yet highly entertaining. Overall, a good lecture.

great lecture, especially if you want to go for application magic for iphone
A really great lecture! I love Greg apps so I bought this lecture to se how he use them and it's
amazing how he combined iforce with an other effect creating the powerball 6000!
But there
is a lot more, not just apps in this lecture.
Gregs "Cosmos 2" is amazing and he explains
a lot of different methods so that you can customize your effect. I'm never been a big fan of the
''out of this world'' plot, but this version is awesome. I'm training it right now!
There
are also 2 coin routines and one is ''stuck''. The method is so easy to do and effective at the same
time.
The best thing of this lecture is that the effects aren't impossible sleight or
custom made gimmiks that you have to carry around.
This was an excellent lecture by Greg! He's a very entertaining and clever magician. I would
highly recommend this lecture to everyone.
There is not doubt that Greg Rostami is creative and with the times. However, his magic does not fit
me. I ordered the lecture to get more insight on the iPhone apps that he has created. I did get some
insight into the apps, but I did not feel the apps he demoed were compelling enough enough to buy. I
do more corporate and stage work, and I think Rostami fits more with close up magic.
