Let's get one thing straight. "Scratch," by Chad Long is a utility device, not an effect in itself,
meaning that there is no such trick as "Scrach." This is a good thing, though, as it leaves creative
performers with a lot more flexibility.
Like any good utility device, it comes with some
suggested applications. My favorite is "Chicago Scratch," Long's version of the Chicago Opener. The
DVD is of decent quality and it doesn't drag on and on. I also like that the three suggested
applications are unique, with different moves and presentations, not just three variations of the
same thing.
Finally, it's always a plus when refills are offered at a reasonable price, as
in this case. Although, the original comes with enough devices for nearly 100 performances, so it
will be a while before I need to pick up a refill pack.

Brilliant as always from Chad. Thankfully the refills are very cheap because i will use this all
the time!

I really like scratch. It's good because it gives the bill switch/change a reason for happening and
it's your bill so why would you want to change it back. Another thing I've learned is that if
presented right people don't see it coming because everything is motivated. The really nice is that
your completely clean before anyone knows something is going to happen. I personally don't preform
the other tricks on the DVD but that doesn't demenish their strength. This trick has lots of
possibilities.

Watch the trailer. See those reactions? You get those with Scratch. The DVD is great and Chad even
teaches Juan Tamariz 's Crossing the Gaze switch from his book, Five Points In Magic.
You
even learn a deadly mentalism trick that you WILL DO!

Excellent! Better than I expected. Three effects, all three are workers.

We sometimes forget that some of the really simple tricks get huge reactions. Scratch is one of
those. Keep it in your pocket...And, yes, have extras made up in a packet...you're going to use
them.
DVD teaches you this routine plus a few others. Teaching is clear and thorough. It's
really that easy to perform and the responses are huge since the bill can be examined, both at the
beginning and at the end. Don't worry...you finish clean. One minor slight is required that
anyone/everyone can do.
FYI, you do get 100 gimmicks which you will probably use rather quickly
(Yes, you will do it that often...) and although PM sells refills, they always seem to be "out of
stock". Thus, you can get 'em on Ebay for under $5.00 for an additional 100. I've ordered many
more...
In closing, it's a very easy and fun trick that can be performed anywhere...no angle
worries and finishes clean. Add to cart...

CHAD- I've had this for years. Sorry I waited so long to write a review because this idea is GREAT!
This is so much fun, and I have routined it by keeping several prepared bills with me when I plan to
use it (bill prep takes 30 seconds on the fly) This is Astounding to people who are watching,
especially if you play it off like stickers you bought in Vegas of from the state lottery!
Incidentally, you can pick up replacement for almost nothing...the value is in the idea and the
routine. You will NOT be timid or afraid to perform this!
With just the tricks on the DVD, you have some GREAT tricks that are just wonderful. There is some
really great and devious ideas here.
But for the more enthused, a little determination will
get you some really great effects, with this little utility gimmick.
It's just clever, and
if you like the idea of scratch cards used to magical effect, this is just for you.
The
spectator scratches the scratch pad, and then some magic happens. In their hands.
And it's
awesome!
This has to be my favorite money trick right now. I perform the scratch off bill just like he does
and I love to see the participants eyes light when they notice the change. Just a nice medium
strength trick good for all ages to perform to. An all around every day all day in your pro sets or
other IT'S ALL GOOD trick. I highly recommend. Oh, the kids loved it. You should have heard them
react yell.
Like my American Express Card, I never leave home without it. There's more than one effect but the
one I love is the lottery bill effect.
There's hardly a day that goes by that I don't show
the effect to someone. It's the sort of trick that you can have ready for the inevitable question,
"You're a magician, show me a trick."
I don't "sell" it as a trick but as a way to make a
little extra money with the instant lottery.
