I know nothing about other Rubik's Cube effects. This one is NOT GIMMICKED. Some ads say DVD plus
gimmick, but what you get with the DVD is a black velvet bag to store the cubes in. You really do
solve the cube in front of your audience. I would recommend it.
It's a breath of fresh air
doing something different and not the typical card or coin trick. You will have to memorize some
moves, but not many.
The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I hate buying a DVD or
routine, then running around trying to find the items you need - In this case the cubes.
Hey Penguin! Maybe you should stock them. Hint, hint :)

I like the idea of the routine and the fact that normal cubes are used. But it seemed like I got
very little for the money--it was a very short video (maybe 5 minutes all included) and a bag and I
literally could have written all you need to know for the whole routine in a couple sentences since
the secret to both parts is very obvious. It's that last part that irks me, since I feel like I
just paid $45 to confirm what I already "knew." Also, the demo video is a bit misleading since it
cuts out most of the second half of the act and makes it seem like the cube goes immediately from
matching the audience's cube to solved, which would be cool! but it doesn't. What the video does
do, however, is show you how you can talk to the audience while solving the cube without them
necessarily realizing that's what you're doing. There's some value in that too, but not $45 worth,
in my opinion.

Really, really dissappointing, misleading and waaay over priced.
The trailer for this effect has
been edited cut out moves to make the trick look far more impossible.
For example at 1:46, we
see the cube very mixed up, and when we see it again we assume he hasn't done anything to it yet.
This isn't sleight of hand or distraction, this is tv editing magic :(

If I had gotten Cube3 then this DVD, I'd give it a 4 (5 if cubes were included as you have to search
online for a mini cube and a regular cube = more $$$). That said, you NEED to be able to SOLVE A
CUBE. I messed up my configuration, and because I didn't know how to solve the cube (the dvd when I
originally bought it advertised you don't need to know how to solve a cube...this is only partially
true...) and the messed up cube config and this DVD sat in my junk pile for 2 years until the cube 3
Steve Brundage DVD came out. He actually teaches you how to solve a cube ON TOP OF awesome magic,
using the same effect THAT FLOORED PENN AND TELLER!!!
So this IS a good effect if you have
the mini cube(s) and the regular size cubes, AND know how to solve a rubiks cube legitimately.
TL;DR If you really love this effect:
a) be prepared to spend a bit more money to get
the props needed as they won't be included in the effect
b) BUY CUBE 3 by Steve Brundage
or have the knowledge already pat on how to solve a cube...I'd go with the former
Hope
this helps!!!!

I was very much surprised about the strong impact of this effect . Very good and easy method and
very well explained. Great for a tv show or close up performance. I would have rated it with "5
stars" if for a little more money it came together with the small cubes, because it is not always
easy to find them in every country. I had to order them separately on the internet...

I've performed this piece regularly for four years and can attest to the fact that it consistently
stuns my audience and is often the most talked about piece in my act. the trailer does leave some
moments out...most every magic trailer does that, much to our dismay...but this should not dissuade
anyone from buying and performing this elegant effect, because when performed correctly it will be a
real worker for you. Hope this helps!
