I've been using Gerti the last week and it's a winner. The DVD is well done with thorough explanations and extra routines.

For the basic lie detector routine, there really isn't anything to learn except a routine. The better the routine, the stronger the impact.

I ask if they have a quarter ( the one time someone didn't, I gave them one to use ) I take a few coins from my pocket. I have a penny, nickel, dime and 3 quarters ( one of them is Gerti ).

My gimmick has my initials pre-signed. When I take the change from my pocket ( I simply make an adjustment so my initials aren't showing.

I have them initial their quarter and then I pretend to initial mine. They take both quarters and I turn my back, holding out my hand for them to place one of the coins into my hand.

That's it. You know which coin you have. The rest is acting/routining.

People are gobsmacked that you can know which quarter is where based on their tells. I'll carry this with me, always!

I waited a while to write this. This went into the junk drawer.
First of all, if everything goes perfectly, this is a 50/50 chance routine.
Second, You could repeat it, but the more you repeat it, the more likely they are going to realize that one of the coins is not normal. In fact, more people than you might think will notice right away that one of the coins is not norml.

When you see the gimmick, you'll tell yourself, "Of course, it had to be that method." But unless you have the right expensive tools and skill, there's no way you are making one yourself that is as deceptive as the one that you get. For $20, this is an excellent addition to the which hand arsenal.

I liked the lie detector trick as there are many possibilities with two coins. I think the three coin trick is more problematic as the order of the coins can easily be changed inadvertently by a spectator. For this reason I am giving the trick four stars. I still expect to get a lot of mileage out of the gimmick.

Very cool concept and super easy to do. The DVD is not as clear on the three coin method as the other tricks, so that will take some practice to understand, but it is probably the strongest on the DVD. I mean three coins are shown, the dates remembered, then placed in three different hands and you know where each one is? POWERFUL.

I am not sure how easily this will fly by a spectator if you let them look at it, but done casually, this is fantastic!
