note: I'm not listed as a verified buyer because I bought this download off another magic website,
not realizing it was also on Penguin.
This is so easy to perform. It involves NO PALMING or
other sleight of hand (I don't consider the natural handling of the cards necessary for the trick as
sleight of hand), and very importantly, as many may be wondering -- NO MISDIRECTION!
The
catch for a perfect trick that is so easy to perform is that the deck is gimmicked, which really
doesn't give anything away (The spectator is handling the cards while your back is turned, and you
still have nothing to worry about!) The jump cuts in the video are not significant (remember, this
trick has no misdirection to compensate for); if the demo fooled you, I promise this would fool you
live.
I only give it four stars because I'm a stickler for impromptu magic, and like to do
magic with other people's cards (Bicycle only :)
Is this instructional worth $10? --
Absolutely. Rick also explains WHY this trick is so difficult to debunk. This fools magicians. Grab
it.

This trick is a nice trick.
But the video is very misleading.
There is one part in the
video, which actually convinced me to buy it, which is very misleading.
The chosen card, the
ace of hearts, appears to jump to the other pocket and it is on the bottom of the deck in the video.
This makes the reveal very sweet.
when performing the trick, the card will NOT be on the
bottom of the deck but somewhere in the middle.
When the card is on the bottom your
audience will know you placed it there. when it is somewhere in the middle the audience will start
figuring things out.
The trick is not as powerfull as the video makes it look.
The
trick also uses gaffed cards.

I was going to finally taper off buying so much new stuff from Penguin, but then I saw this trailer
and for under $10 had to go for it. Boy was that a good $10 spent, for a real worker. I got the
download last night and set up the trick for myself immediately and it's going right into my
walkaround repertoire. Watch the trailer, this is as powerful and easy to do as it looks, you can
concentrate nearly all your efforts on your individual presentation. This may be one of the best new
card tricks I've seen in a long time, and the result is different every time. Reset in seconds and
you're ready to repeat it. Well thought out and well taught, and well worth it.

amazing trick but you can't perform any trick with the same deck after that, or before that

This is my first time ever writing this review. After buying this trick, I was blown away to think
how clever and deceptive the secret is. Like he mentioned, the trick is very hard to figure out if
done right. It is also angle-proof. The price 9.95, come on man that's a deal there. This trick will
get great reaction and you will not regret. However, this trick requires some set-ups and
modifications, but its really easy to make, I promise.

this effect fits my style and my repertoire very well.
i personally do not mind having
gaffed stuff. and if in any way there is a need to give things for examination i somehow find my way
so that they feel that it is ok.
this method is very clever and i do believe that even
magician can get fooled by this effect.
once again Rick does a great job explaining every
thing into details and you can easily just catch up and start performing this effect right away.....
i do recommend this.

This is a very baffling trick. Good job, Rick! If you have friends who are onto your methods, this
is a good trick to bring to make them scratch their heads.
However, this is not a five star
effect. I think illusions should have several magical moments. This has two, which is not too bad,
BUT the climax shown in the promotional video is not the climax you actually perform. The video
makes it look like you have the chosen card ready in your pocket to throw before your spectators,
but no. The card is in your pocket, but you have to search for it amidst the other cards in your
pocket, which makes the illusion lose some of its wonder.
In the end, I would say this
illusion requires too much work and pocket space to be practical. And the power of the illusion is
not enough to make it worth it.

I have to remember to not wear my evil smirk! This is pure awesome! Really well thought out and
this is a total worker! What else could we expect coming from RICK!!! Thanks again Rick Lax!
Rick Lax did it again. A strong effect, easy to perform, it´s a ten stars not just 5.
The
gimmick is realy easy to make. Thanks for this game Rick!
First off, great trick!
I took the trick one step further and added a SECOND BOX...in that
box, I use 26 cards that are the opposite of the 26 cards they have to choose from (if they picked
ace of hearts, this pack would have the ace of diamonds etc) and not only did I show them that the
card had jumped from the deck to my pocket...I then reveal the deck (a duplicate deck) and show them
their card is in fact no longer in the pack!
My spectator didn't notice at all that the
cards were different and only noticed that his card was in fact missing from the deck after it had
jumped and went to my other pocket. This kicked it up a notch for me. Let me know what you think!
Sincerely,
Houston Curtis
