This does NOT use a Friction Pen. It incorporates a diabolical method and gimmick to allow mental
miracles to be performed.
The DVD is beautifully filmed with fantastic routines, no pipe
dreams.
You can have the time their child was born appear in a flash of fire, have
predictions appear on their BORROWED bill (brilliant idea).
Have the initials of two
lovers appear as if carved onto the trunk of a tree.
When you get the DVD, watch it ALL!
Also be sure to watch Shaun Dunn’s closing comments. He offers golden advice for the serious
performer that wants to take Phoenix Prophecy to the highest levels possible.
I carry and
use the Phoenix Prophecy every day!

The idea behind Phoenix Prophecy is pretty clever. What I like about it is HOW the trick gets
revealed. I'm tired of tricks where you just turn over a piece of paper or just unfold it. I use a
few tricks that require me to carry around a lighter anyway so this fits in nicely with my routine.
The ideas behind this aren't new but it definitely adds a good twist. As one of the other reviewers
have mentioned, I'm not sure how practical it is. It's not one of those tricks you'll carry around
with you on a daily basis. I probably won't carry this around with me and won't be using it to do
the mentalism tricks that are seen in the preview. I do plan on applying the concept to other tricks
that use forces though. When used that way, I think it's pretty practical. Overall, I'm satisfied
with my purchase.

The idea/thinking behind this is similar to Watermark by Mathieu Bich. However the problem with this
gimmick is that it's not entirely practical in a sense. There are far better ways of revealing
things than this. Buy at your own risk.

This is a magnificent application of some time-honored principles in magic. The DVD is good,
although in the routine chapters Shaun R. basically teaches the same effect repeatedly, with minor
variations on presentation ideas.
The gimmick quality is fine, excepting the fact that the
gimmick used in the video is "doctored" in a way that the one that I received isn't. I can't go into
detail. Instructions are given to make one type of modification, but not the one shown in the video.
I can make the modification myself, but I don't really think that should've been necessary.
Overall, I think this is great, & I'll definitely use it, but I think a bit more care should be put
into the instruction & construction.

This is a great illusion. There are many different variations available that you can use this for.
This trick comes with a nice gimmick (and I love a good gimmick) but I honestly just don't
understand why. It doesn't seem necessary to the trick, it doesn't add anything, and it is actually
more conspicuous than doing the trick without it. But since I have the gimmick now, I may be able to
find another use for it, so that's something.
Its smart and needs practice.Simple to learn just need few materials.Your imagination is your limit
of what you can do.

The idea behind it is nice but I wouldn't say it's practical at all.
