Pyrotechnic Pasteboards picks up where Gregory?s best-selling Card Stunts video left off. Forget those mind-numbing, deal down, Uncle Charlie card tricks. This is fast and furious, in-your-face card flaunting! Think Jackie Chan with 52 potential papercuts! Contains:

  • Point Blank - Greg?s reputation-making version of the Ambitious Card done with a completely blank deck. It?s a portable 5-minute piece of theater that ends up with the spectator?s signed card fused to your signed card!
  • Flashback - This freaky 8-phase routine is done in reverse. That?s why you should take your standing ovation first-just to get it out of the way.
  • Straight A?s - When they see this four ace revelation, you can forget about that friendly little poker game after the show.
  • Lethal Fours - Gentlemen, start your Elmsley?s. This is Wilson?s take on Williamson?s take on Victor?s 11 Card Trick.
  • Cards to Pocket - Greg?s razzle-dazzle version of this time-honored classic.
  • FISM Aces - The aces shoot out of a shuffled pack like angry hornets and then boomerang back to you like. . .well, boomerangs. Oh, by the way, did we mention that the entire pack vanishes as well?

With Pyrotechnic Pasteboards, you get all of this non-stop, action-packed commotion and more! Why wait till the Fourth of July for flashy fireworks? Break out your Bicycles and start blowing away your audiences - today!

Good but not for beginers Report this review

This dvd is action packed and thrilling. However if you are a beginer I would have to advise against this since most of the tricks and routines require a decent knowledge of card handling. But one more time Greg has done it again with some killer card routines. Two Words... GET IT!!!

Ok, i personally didn't really like the DVD that much, one reason being that i didn't have a double faced blank deck so I could not even perform the first effect on the DVD, then the second effect also had a great part in which you needed a gaff card box that is not even taught how to be made...

What I did get out of this DVD was Greg's audience interaction, it taught me how to react with the audience and stuff like that, the tricks required alot of setup and wern't that amazing if you ask me.

This is challenging material but well worth the time. The things I took away from this DVD is Wilson's version of the Butterfly Cut, his spectator cut to the aces and I did his Lethal Fours for a while (it's a hard trick to remember!) Great teaching and, as always, Wilson is very entertaining.

Great ideas Report this review

Using a blank deck and one signed card for Ambitious Card is a great idea that Wilson came up with here. Involving a spectator in a Four Aces is also great. Most of the routines are multi-phase and the phases are usually independent. You can remove phases that are too hard, and you can also use a lot of the moves in your own routines.

Wilson is an energetic and fun teacher who goes through the moves accurately and informatively -- but also quickly. You'll have to watch the tutorials a few times to learn the moves. With boomerang card, you're pretty much on your own. Also, you won't be able to make a pack suddenly appear around your deck like Wilson does.

ASTONISHING! Report this review

This is the best card magic I have ever seen, bar none! A couple of the moves are a bit "nacky" but the results are incredible. You will level your spectators with the effects you can pull off. I don't personally like Greg's performance style, but he does it very, very well. He teaches everything and it is very valuable. He teaches his "back stage pass" and the pass is so invisible, I had to re-watch it in slow motion several times just to see what he was doing, during the explanation! After you get it down, you will use it ALL THE TIME! This is great material...don't pass it up!

good, not great good Report this review

Pyrotechnic pasteboards has some good effects on it and Wilson teaches you some valuable sleights like the elmsley count. However, I found some of the effects to be a bit bland and requiring a set up (flash back in particular). Something very good on this dvd is the fact that it shows you Greg performing in a show and this sets a great example for budding magicians who haven't seen performances before. If you want to add some good card magic to your repetoire then get this dvd. If you are already very into cards, however, then this dosen't provide very much extra.

This was a great DVD. Gregory was very precise in his explanation he even took time later in the DVD to go over the handling of the more difficult moves making it easy to learn. Jammed packed with really knock-out routines. Will use mostly everything taught on this DVD. Good work here Gregory.
