Obviously, Gregory Wilson's idea about the whole, "Who actually carries these props at any given
time" didn't get through to my fellow reviewer, but that's ok, because perhaps it's best they aren't
the one performing it. They've already stated they don't do the trick in the first place, so why
would they do something similar? If you didn't really do anything with the original, why buy
something that's obviously going to be similar? Especially when it SAYS it's a copper/silver
routine?
Anyways, the trick is a fantastic one, and with so much going on in the bonus
department, well, you really can't go wrong with this. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a solid
take anywhere do anytime routine :) It's quite well made, and I really like how different the keys
look. Perfect choice too, because most keys look pretty similar to one another anyways, so genius
thinking+Gregory Wilson=EPIC magic stuffs.
I bought this, and am thoroughly satisfied with
it. Nuff said. Peace!

I can understand how some may gripe about the price tag. However, I love this effect. The DVD has
alternate effects from other pros (with the keys)- "World's Greatest Magic" style. Great touch.
Great tips. Great handlings. Extra points for the assistant in the video. I don't work with coins,
let alone obscure coins that I have to store somewhere odd. These keys are the great alternative to
similar coin routines.
Hope there's refills of keys only for when I overuse and rub away
the plating on these keys. I wouldn't pay this price twice. Though I would consider it once if I
were you.

In the video with Rick Lax he mentions that this prop is expensive but that it's worth it because
you will use it and ...
It's True.
YOU WILL USE THIS!
I mean come on
they're keys! So easy and natural to carry/bring into play! Something this easy to get into deserves
to be in your reperoire.
Gregory Wilson has an awesome routine. Get the actions down and
perform it.
Some Tips:
-Don't use Greg's "because we weren't playing for money" line.
-At the end of the routine after people react say "and I'll take that back as it is my house
key."
-About a minute after the routine is over and your simply conversating with your
spectator say "that was crazy how I made the gold key appear in your hand!"
-Purchase
key-identifier and place them on your freakeys.
To close please know - this is a worker.
Get it, perform it, and become awesome.

i really like the copper silver trick. it's the greatest thing to get into peoples heads and get
them completely confused. i don't carry centavos and English pennies as he mentions in the DVD (are
either of them even in circulation?), so i've rarely been able to perform this trick.
the
gimmicks, including a key fob, are high quality--he mentions in the DVD that you're not paying for a
toy. this will be in my pocket all the time.
the only thing i could even say is the DVD
isn't set up to sit and watch all the way through. nearly all the individual segments are only a few
minutes long. one of the performance bits shows the spectator very nearly exposing the gimmick, and
Greg Wilson is so smooth with audience control, no one notices.

First of all, this is very usable, and VERY well made!!!!
The sticker idea is genius....BUT I
hate the three key version!!!! No good!!!
Make the keys jump, then do it in the spectators
hand....switch out the gimmick ed key....DONE!!!!
Again
This is a keeper!!!
Thanks Greg

This is my first review here in PenguinMagic and I'm really excited about FREAKEY.
Besides
the props, you get a high quality DVD, full of routines and different handlings of the effect.
Several perfomance's styles, several contributors and in depth explanations of every single move.
As of the props, their quality is really top notch!
In regards to the g*******d KEY,
you have not to be afraid it may wear out in the long run. As of the other two usual keys which is
being provided, they are as well well manufactured.
You simply can't go wrong with FREAKEY
in your pockets.
The only thing that I haven't confirmed yet, is the kind of the elegant
key fob that comes with the whole package.
Although the the key fob shown on the DVD cover
has an arc-shape (and if my memory serves me well, the same shape is shown several times in the DVD)
the one I received has a vertical form and shape (it looks like a vertical rectangle).
I
don't know if this is the shape of the key fob that comes with the upgrade version. Any help from
any of the Penguin staff members would be much appreciated.
IMHO, I like most the one you
can see on the DVD cover because it looks more fancy, less bulky and more practical in general.
Unforunately, the one that comes with the DVD looks like a steely rod! But it works
perfectly and I think I can live with it!
So, FREAKEY by Greg Wilson is highly recommended!
As of the price, I agree that it could be lower. However
I do not know
anything about the first edition of the effect but this second upgraded edition is just awesome.

JUst what Chad Long did with Flash Drives ( making the color changing knives relevant again ) Greg
Wilson has done with Freakey.
Today, people don't recognize/relate to Kennedy halves and
British pennies. BUT they know keys, because we all carry and use them.
Soem fo the
greatest minds in magic worked on the routines ( Max Maven, Paul harris, John Kennedy, etc. ) so you
have your pick of instant classics, or make up your own.

Gregory Wilson is one of my favorite performers. I have purchased a lot of his products so I am
well aware that they are usually overpriced but I am willing to pay for his unique magic. This was
the most overpriced for the least amount of quality. The gimmick key does not match the Duplicate
brass key, all of the keys had very sharp burrs on them.the key fob is nice but not Worth $50 as he
alleges, you can get better ones on Amazon for eight dollars. penguin said they would replace the
brass key but haven't done so as of three weeks.

For some reason I bought this and it sat in a drawer for a year. I ran into it again the other day,
pulled it out and started to learn it.
The props are simple but absolutely perfect. And
the routine is devilish. There is NO paddle move used (I think there's one in the extras, but it
would be stupid, you'd see the serration on the key change) but a set of completely natural,
justified moves that seem to keep all sides seen all the time, and some turnovers for if you want to
be super scrupulous.
It only gets four stars, because for the price, I'd expect to get at
least one ungimmicked key, but preferably one ungimmicked key of each type - so you could hand out a
set of three for examination!
The blanks have to cost a dime each in quantity...

Very visual routine. And fun to watch. The video instruction is very good, and there are tons of
routines in the DVD. So you can pick what you want and there should be something for everyone. Most
of them are good. I'm not so keen on the one routine where the gimmick is deliberately exposed. The
main routine you see Wilson do is very good, but I'm a little hesitant about introducing a third key
into that routine for various reasons. It loses a star because 1. Way too expensive and no options
available for replacement keys in case you damage or lose yours and 2. I did almost lose them,
because the keychain broke and I'm not sure why. So that keychain isn't very durable.
