This is one of the best ring magic tutorials, I learned almost all the moves and I've gotten not
good but absolutely great reactions. I like it because if someone can do it right off the bat it's
magic but everyone can do it . These tricks are a bit trickier and harder to learn but very worth
the money. I would highly recommend this to people who are into sleight of hand.

Despite all the hype for Ring Theory, I found this to be a warmed-over version of De'Ring by De'Vo.
If you're just looking for some cool ring flourishes, the dvd is fine (although the teaching is not
great and there is only one camera view used). Antoine's "money" moves for having a ring instantly
appear on the hand are VERY similar to De'Vo's and in several instances, not nearly as deceptive.
Not much new here, especially if you already own De'Ring. I found more useful moves and ideas on the
dvd Ringja by Nie Te.

The accent made it hard for me to understand and digital flexibility required ( I am 69 ) just don't
have it.
The video instruction is great and helped with understanding.

This is an outstanding DVD for people who love to practice. If you're serious about learning magic
with finger rings, get it. If not, don't. If you think you're going to order this DVD today and be
doing these tricks at the party on Friday, you're probably in for a shock.
Even the 'most
basic move' on the DVD- more of a utility move than a trick- will probably take you at least a
couple weeks of fairly diligent practice to get presentable. At one point Antoine recommends that
you stop practicing to rest your hands if they start getting sore. I think that's how serious this
video assumes you're going to be about learning the material.
The manipulation is
sensitive to things like the shape, material, and weight of the ring, so odds are you'll find
yourself buying at least a few rings (hopefully cheap) before you find one you want to stick with.
No, it doesn't come with the gear ring, but you can find them online and they work great.
That being said, if I had to name my ten favorite magic tricks to practice, eight of them would
probably be on this DVD. If you love to practice manipulation the DVD has some absolutely
spectacular tricks and will give you the vocabulary to start putting together your own tricks and
routines.
In most cases the effects are instantaneous and entirely visual. They're hidden
with technique rather than misdirection. There's so much material that you're bound to find at least
effect that will leave you obsessed with being able to do it as well as Antoine.
It's a dry
video. Antoine's accent can make the narration difficult to understand sometimes. He comes across
more like a college professor than a magician in the video- direct and to the point. There's no
performance footage with audiences. It's really just the intro you see in the preview then Antoine
lecturing and demonstrating.
I love this video so much I almost don't want to recommend
it to people. I don't think many people have seen ring tricks or the sort of speed that's possible
with them. It's also worth mentioning that most coin tricks will work with good rings.

Had one thing I'll use and according to my old teacher who studied with Blackstone, "That makes it
worth the money."
There's plenty of detail on the DVD, so learning is not a problem. The
format and Antoine's presentation style makes it deadly hard to watch, so you won't watch this one
for fun.

For those who have already DeRing and for those who don't!
New moves included and good
explanation for old ones!
I like it!

I absolutely love ring magic so I guess that makes my review somewhat biased. That being said, if
it's a dvd or download to do with a regular ring you wear on your finger I probably have it, and I
have to say if you were to purchase only one thing on ring magic, THIS is what I would recommend.
(Although I don't believe you can know too many tricks for something that takes up no pocket space
at all, is completely impromptu and can be inspected or even borrowed from a spectator in some
cases.)
If you're familiar with ring magic there might be some stuff you already know but
Antoine has come up with some very unique applications for some of the sleights you might already be
familiar with as well as a number of flourishes and stuff you've never seen.

There is a lot here for a little bit of money. Worth it even if you only learn a few moves
Not much to say other than if your interested in ring magic this is a great resource.
I'm almost speachless, the dvd is that good. I love this. The ring jump from finger to finger is
worth the dvd almost all by its self and there is 30 or more moves just as good and even better. The
very best value. Even though there are no full routines taught and you will have to search for the
right size and shaped ring, this is still a Must Buy. I extremely recommend, (drumroll) Ring Theory
by Antoine Thomas.
