As you see in the demo, this is a cute, commercial effect. What you don't see in the demo, but might
be important for experienced napkin rose makers, is that the rose needs to be set-up before you
present it to your spectator(s). Since one of the charms of the napkin rose is making it in front of
your audience, potential buyers should realize that the routine does not accommodate this aspect.
Personally, I will want to come up with a way of ringing in the gimmick after the rose has been made
in full view, and I was a bit disappointed to find that this was not discussed.

Although the basis of this effect is largely a classic (and virtually every magician and
non-magician knows how to do it), Chris Randall updates the effect by adding some truly magical
elements. Some of the tweeks on the making of the rose were needed and helpful. The "magical
moments" added make this more than simply a bar stunt.
If you like the paper rose, you will
get use out of this. I will be adding it to my repertoire.

For close-up, strolling magicians, Desert Rose is a really great effect that's easy to do. The
effect looks just like on the demo video when using flash paper.
I actually bought this
video for the bonus effect 7 Digits and was disappointed by that effect because at the conclusion of
the effect you do not know or reveal the spectator's phone number. Once the effect is over, the
spectator can give you her number if she wants, but the effect ends without you having it, knowing
it or revealing it.

ok once i saw the trailer for this effect i was sold. i've done floating rose by kevin james so i
knew this effect was very similar. i saw him do the effect to some girl. wow i dont think i could
have done the floating rose by kevin james to a girl on the street. it would take some preparation.
this takes barely any preparation other than making the napkin rose.
very easy and simple
trick. it looks beautiful. i haven't done floating rose by kevin james since a few years now so i
really need to practice this trick but i should be able to present it out to girls this weekend. :)
this is an awesome trick. ADD TO CART.

Great trick very simple to learn and easy to use. Great in restaurants, really put a smile on the
waitress face!

This is a nifty little piece of magic.
Desert Rose:
The setup is quick, however it
can't be performed impromptu. As a restaurant worker, I am having trouble seeing how this will be
practical as the roses can get crushed in your jacket (to avoid giving away the secret, it's risky
to make the roses in front of the spectators). However maybe with a bit of help from the restaurant,
you can store them somewhere and perform it when there is a special occasion? Just an idea.
7 Digits:
This is a cool and bold way to give your number out, not guaranteeing a number in
return (so make sure you brushed your hair that day). Being married or in a relationship might
render this trick irrelevant, however, instead of the line: "If you need a tour guide whilst you're
here in ______ you know where to find one (ie: you)" you could say something like "If you need an
entertainer for your next event, you know where to find one", so it's a neat way to hand out your
non-business card, you would only forfeit getting their number in return... unless you said
something a little later, like "wouldn't it be great if this napkin had your contact details on?"
instead of asking them for THEIR business card for you to make contact with (as all business
magicians should).
Overall, Chris taught the material well, a bit fast to be honest. I fear
newbies to magic might have trouble with the sleight he taught in 7 Digits, however it's not a tough
one.
Good job all involved!

I purchased the download for the rose effect and was not disappointed. This can be used on many
occasions and with a minimal of preparation. Excellent explanation for making the rose; what to
use, how to use it, and handling tips to enhance the finished product. Chris gives several options
for doing the effect, that are all practical and effective, including using flash paper. Of course
flash paper is the most dramatic; I have never used flash paper and appreciated his advice on the
safety issues of using fire and the bits to make it most effective and safe at the same time.

I don't use this trick everyday. I use it on occasion. The instruction is clear. Easy to make but it
has to be a bar napkins. You can not use regular napkins is because it's not strong enough. It came
with other tricks too. I prefer to do the rose trick only.
