Cut 2.0, much like its predecessor, Cut, works only when it wants to, which is hardly if ever! The
red marker is at best pink and never darker, and the instructional video is an all out LIE, because
the markers don't work the way Mr. Ran Pink show them to. This is the biggest rip-off I've ever
gotten from Penguin since Chill by Tom Wright (and THAT was the biggest piece of garbage
ever...until now!)!

this looks great in the video but I'm really disappointed in it, especially for $60. Red ink won't
flow out of the gimmick properly. When I "cut" myself, the black shows more than the red. I will
experiment a little more but I foresee it ending up in my "Land of Misfit Tricks" draw.

Doesn't really work just like P'ink,,,,been working with it and trying to give it a chance,,,cleaned
the yips shaken vigorously, ,diff temp changes and very lack luster at best.So another drawer piece
for me.Does hold some promise for maybe trying another technique on paper,,but not in the hand.

I was really exited about this - especially for around Halloween time gigs.
works ok even if
managed correctly - not super convincing up cloase performances (need a bit of distance between the
spectator which isn't a problem with a bit of crowd management).
product actually dries up in
the actual storage devices - didn't even last 12mths between Halloweens :(
Due to the short
shelf life once open, not worth the price tag as I wouldn't perform with it enough in a short time
frame before it dries up

I was super stoked to receive this illusion and when I figured out how it works I thought it was
genius, but it doesn't work!! I don't know if the product I received is defective or if all of them
are like that, but I spent hours trying to get it to work and the cut wouldn't even disappear. I did
everything that Mr. Ran Pink said to and it didn't work. I tried running my hand under hot water for
about 5 minutes also and it still didn't disappear.
I haven't tried to do the other affects
with this product but considering the main affect didn't work I doubt the other ones will.

Ink doesn't "disappear" when on my skin, very very tough to get ink flowing and it rarely ever does.
Black shows A LOT more then red when cutting, and I can barely even cut because the ink doesn't
disappear

Okay, wow! I got to start working with CUT 2.0 last night and Ran Pink (the creator of T-Rex, and
P'ink) has outdone himself.
When you heals, it's like watching computer graphics in a
blockbuster 3D film. It's the kind of trick you will do (for yourself) over, and over, and over
again just to watch the cut heal. I've been in magic over 20 years and it's one of the most visual
illusions I've seen.
You can set it up (set-up is as easy as drawing 2 lines) and be ready
to perform it immediately or up to about an hour after. When I watched the video I thought that the
cutting implement had to have like a squeeze-bulb full of liquid or something like that. NO.
The method is pretty elegant, but most importantly- there will probably never be a way for you
to show audience members a cut healing, in real time, like CUT 2.0. You know when you watch an
Avengers movie and Wolverine's cuts just seal up in front of your eyes? That is exactly what the
audience sees!!! (And what you will see as well.)
In terms of set-up- on a scale of 1-5:
(let's say loops, with their potential to break is a 3, thread-work is a 4, card through window is a
5, and invisible deck is a 1- I'll give CUT 2.0 somewhere around a 2. Not hard. But you can't just
pull it out of your pocket immediately and put it back and have it immediately reset.
But
if you need to absolutely FREAK your audience out. Scare, shock and them AMAZE them. If you want a
trick that makes you look like a superhero (or Jesus) then the tradeoff for the slightest amount of
setup is well worth it. This is something you might do once or twice a night (max) while strolling.
This is something you will do when you know you need people to think/know you are supernatural.
Religions have been started on less incredible things than this effect. In Cut 2.0, you have the
dual forces of absolute shock and fear when you realistically cut yourself (I don't see how it could
look more real) and then the absolutely ASTOUNDING VISUAL of the wound healing up in real time in
front of their eyes with absolutely no cover. It's just inconceivable and when you need to look like
you're magic, I know of no way that offers as much punch for as easy of a setup.

I kept mine sealed waiting for the right gig. Halloween time so busted it out of the cupboard. Gone
off and wont vanish, even in front of a heater so hot I was worried I would burn myself. At best it
turns brown now and gets slightly reddish when cold. Never had it work once.

Sadly my pens never worked. I think this could be an amazing effect but I don't want to drop another
60 and get a broken gimmick again.

I am writing this review based on the original Cut. It took me a while to really get it right, but
what trick doesn't take some time to make it perfect. I was ready to perform this after about two
weeks of trying different conditions and getting the gimmick right so it looked realistic. I now
carry it with me almost everywhere I go. Just last week I did this for a friend's birthday at a
bar. He was so convinced I actually cut myself and just glued it shut he grabbed my hand and tried
to pull the cut back open. (he was being a bit of an ***hole but I let him to add to the effect) It
ends clean and your hand can be examined.
This is not a trick you will be able to pull out
of the package and instantly perform. You will need to take time to get to know it and get to know
yourself. Plan on taking time to practice to get it to look realistic, don't buy it with the
intention to use it in your gig next week.
At first I was disappointed but with patience I
figured it out, now I am completely satisfied.
