what you see in the trailer is what you get, this is essentially a tutorial on how to make flip cards very easily. The first gimmick that i made was a bit flimsy, but as i made more and more, they got better and better when i put more time into it. what i recommend doing, is buying this effect, and watch it once, then watch it again, but the second time making it step by step, while alexis does at the same time, so it comes out as perfect as his gimmick

I highly recommend this effect/tool, but please take the time and care to make it, that it deserves, this stuff is eye candy.

they work best on youtube, NOT LIVE.

and you will learn how to make a flap card and WAY MORE.

I generally give pretty good reviews partly because I choose my purchases carefully and I buy from Penguin, a company that is good at presenting their products accurately. This video was bought for me by a good magic friend that knows my taste! I give "Flap Cards" a 5 star rating for a couple of reasons; First this in short is a great tool with numerous uses, many ideas are given in the video but as I viewed it I kept seeing potential applications that I could immediately use the gimmick for. The construction is clever, inexpensive, durable and very clearly explained by Alexis. This is also one of those neat little devices that you can use in more than one effect during a single show and it will not look repetitive.
Some videos and downloads offer you contact info if you have any questions, some answer back some do not. I sent a question to Alexis and he answered me back in less than two hours!
For the price. the future potential and the good service from Alexis and Penguin Magic that is all the reason that you need to buy this! Beginner to advanced finger flingers this is a great buy!!!

I have huge respect for Alexis now. This demo you see on here is not the right flap card you need for 52 shades of red. Shin Lim told us we can find it on magic website which is not true. Months of searching for specific gimmick because the flap card required to be vertical. Not horizon! Shin Lim show us how to use vertical and it perfect reason why it need to be vertical.

It a huge dick move for making me chasing for specific gimmick for months. EVEN SHIN LIM IGNORED MY MESSAGE. Back to the point, I found Alexis email and request Alexis to make me a vertical gimmmick. And you know what? He actually put his time together and effort and show me how to construct the vertical gimmick!

This bulls*** search is over and now I can put my deck together. Thank to Alexis and I wish I could give this review a 10 stars because Alexis is one of the most respected magician I have ever know. Kudo to Alexis. ^^

this is a very good teaching of haw to make flap cards !! but he said in the teaching that you will get links for buying the props you need for making flap cards on email and you will not get the links because of this i give it

First off, this is a great idea and easy to make and looks easy to perform. The best thing is that it really looks like pure magic when the change happens. Alexis does a great job explaining and leaves his contact information with you to ask questions. I asked a question and he replied instantly. Great trick from a great guy. You will love this too!

This is probably the greatest download that I have bought because Alexis does an amazing job with all of his tricks to make them as great as possible. BUT not only does he do amazingly good in creating magic and teaching it, he has the BEST customer service I had ever seen on penguin. I had emailed him recently for help on the trick and he responded immediately and helped me out in several ways. Thanks so much Alexis! YOU R A GREAT MAGICIAN!

Dai Vernon said the greatest effect you could do for laymen with a pack of cards is a color change. Look at the color change in the trailer. It looks like trick photography!

We've all seen the killer visual magic that happens using flap cards. The problem is they don't last and most won't purchase the trick again to get a new gaff.

Best news: These are easy to make!

Bad news: Anyone using this will blow away any seasoned magician not using it.

What you see on the video is what you will be able to do. Alexis goes in great details and even if his English is not perfect, it is good enough for the explanation. Highly recommended if you liked Henry Evans Live Lecture for instance! Without further to do, Merci Alexis! ;)
