Man oh man, have I never been so happy about someone re-releasing an effect! This is identical (as far as I know) to the Michael Skinner monte, which is AMAZING. Now, why am I happy about this being re-released?

Well, first off, I never had any problems understanding the manuscript that came with the Skinner monte. However, the handling here is different (slightly) AND it comes with a video download for easier learning, which is always a plus.

In addition, for 15 dollars, you get some AMAZING quality gimmicks; 2 SETS OF THEM! This is a great value to any close-up worker for an amazing effect.

I've owned this trick for quite some time now. You can master this trick in 5 minutes, and it gets GREAT reactions. The only drawback is that only 2 of the 3 cards are examinable, but with a little practice, you can switch them out effortlessly. Definitely worth the money.. best gimmick trick I own.

Big, big problem since the cards come with a gimmicked TWO but the explanation
keeps referring to a gimmicked THREE.. This can be extremely confusing.
You should provide the SAME CARDS he talks about. Just to show how crazy
you can make someone who does NOT already know the Monte moves, hand him or her the cards and just see if they can follow the video. With a trick like this, the cards MUST be consistent with the demo video!!

If you want your customers to buy your stuff, please try to avoid driving them to
early insanity.

This is a strong monte and it is easy to do! I was trying to decide what monte to buy and I'm glad I bought this one! Plus, it comes with 2 sets of monte Blue Back and Red back Bicycle cards. I always show this trick to a lot of students in my school that I don't even know! I do think trick with confidence knowing I won't mess up (with 15 minutes of practice, you will have this trick down!) I know it is impossible for me to mess up this trick, plus you get the best reactions, and sometimes wierd reactions, because spectators don't know what to expect! They keep telling me to do another one and another one! They have no clue gaft cards even exist!

This is a wonderful trick but the cards I got are different from the ones Rick uses to teach it in the video. I feel like I could've learned it a whole lot faster and easier if they were the same. But maybe I'm just slow

Great effect but ultra low quality cards Report this review

The classic effect is great and well explained. But the quality of the cards is very low. Mine have the blue and red back totally off-centered to the point I'm not confortable performing with it. It's probably a one off printing problem but It's a shame.

I was excited to do this penguin monte, there is a part at end which shows different cards than actual. I also tried to reach out to someone to help explain this part , nobody contacted me. If I cant get help I will return .

People have said that the explanation for this trick was terrible, and I agree, It was. But Forget those reviews and throw them out of the window because they have re-shoot the explanation and it is great! It's a brilliant effect too and I highly recomend it to you all who like card tricks... In fact, I recomend this to anyone who is into magic, whether you like coin magic, card magic, close-up magic it doesn't matter, you'll love it, and it'll change the way you feel for cards effects FOREVER! This has to be one of the best illusions I've seen in all my years of magic, you can effortlessly do this routine time and time again without being caught, just do it as a third or fourth trick in your routine and specs won't even care about examining the cards. 2 thumbs way way up!
