I'm always struggling to find a POWERFUL, VISUAL effect that is simple to do, simple to reset and
angle safe ... that isn't already being done by everyone.
Vuja De is perfect. You can perform it
walking around, no table. It's straightforward and visual.
The multiphase routine means you
get some mileage out of this prop. And the subtleties of each "repeat" are different in effect and
in direct method. That means you're always a step ahead. Each phase seems to cancel out any
explanation for the prior phase.
And you're not simply repeating - you're building the
mystery in each phase. Finally - you end clean. Amen.
Those of us who work cocktail hours
(with obnoxious drinkers, teens) know that ending with a gimmick in hand is the worst way to close a
trick. Here, you end clean.
Matchbooks are common - they don't arouse suspicion ... and
they give me some variety in props.
It isn't an instant reset - but you can reset the whole
thing quickly and inside your jacket pocket. If you're not wearing a jacket, you may be able to do
it in your pants pocket - but it may look like you're having too much fun.
The whole thing
packs super-small, lends itself to a woo-woo spooky dej vu approach - or a sillier routine.
At the end you're left with a real book of matches ... you can segue into a bit with some
flashpaper and a production.
OK ... buy it!

I never bought a "Download" Trick before. But this one has a 3-second "POW" moment that blew me
outta my chair. Like Flap Cards - the Spectator sees an impossible, visual change occur right
before their very eyes. This is a sequence of tricks. Trick 1 and Trick 2 I am ho-hum about. But
Trick 3 - WOW !!! He calmly - almost slowly - shakes the uncovered matchbox and it simply "melts"
into a covered matchbox. It is a miracle. I watched it again and again - certain I knew what he
was doing but unable to see it being done. I even watched it frame-by-frame . . . to no avail. You
CANNOT SEE HOW HE CHANGES IT !!! The Video is excellent - full explanation of it all including
misdirection Tips.

I bought this because I like effects with matchboxes. As I was watching the video it struck me that
this will be a perfect lead in effect for Jay Sankey's DOA especially since the spectators get to
handle the box before on both of these routines.

This is a practical, visual trick that is something I think people will remember. The arts and
crafts part is easy to accomplish and the routine flows.
It is the best download I've
purchased from Penguin. I am very pleased .

For the magic you can get out of this effect the ease of performing it seems almost unfair. It's a
nice length for a trick and there's something happening the whole time and a reason for it to be
happening. It flows very nicely.
If you want to look like the greatest slight of hand expert
your audience has ever seen, but don't want to spend your whole life in front of a mirror (it's too
late for me, save yourself) buy this trick. I purchased it on sale, but if I could pay full price I
would. It's a value at twice as much.

This is an awesome, one of a kind trick. Absolutely speechless. This is definitely a worker. Just
get it, if you've seen the trailer and you like it, then you'll love the method.

Wow! I couldn't imagine we can do this with just a matchbox. Amazing!!! I always like Rick Lax
magic. The background, the method, the theories, the practices & the tips. Everything comes together
in one clear teaching. No BS! You'll gonna like this.

This is a super simple to make gimmick and the routine is so so good. This is a perfect opener for
any walkaround set, I'm very passionate about this release. It's everything I want in a routine,
multiple magic moments. When you watch the full performance you see their brains exploding.
