This is a case of pure false advertising and shame on whoever wrote the description for this product
for blatantly lying to fellow magicians in order to swindle them out of their hard earned cash.
The description reads: "MPH is a trick where you have your audience member arrange a Mr.
Potato Head into any order and configuration they want, and out of over 360,000 different possible
combinations you predict the exact outcome." Well, that is simply a blatant lie and just not true.
Without giving away the exact method, the truth is and should read something like: MPH is
a method and handling [edited to protect secret] such that your audience members MAY think there are
360,000 different possible combinations. [edited to protect secret]
But even the above
description doesn't really apply to the closeup and "walk around" version because even a child would
realize and call you on the fact that the gimmicked toy can not be completely rearranged as they may
want it to.
This download should not be priced more than ten dollars and should not be
bought by anyone with even a slightest of training in magic/mentalism unless on sale for five.

Let's start with the ad copy.
-Close up and Stage: While this is true, I only plan to use
it on stage.
-Full professional script: True but it also leaves you plenty of room to add in
your own personality.
-No stooges or instant stooges: True
-No assistants: True
-No
Switches: True
-No Forces: For predicting the MPH the audience member has mixed up, this is true
- No pre-show work: Once again, true.
Personally, I love this trick. Joshua has
provided a very smart method to make this effect work.
I know some guys are on the cafe
were upset about the "reveal" however, there are TONS of ways to do the reveal at the end plus, yes,
you can do the reveal shown in the video. That said, there are MANY strong ways to do the reveal.
The best thing I can say about this trick is it's going to go into my show. For $45 plus
the cost of of 2 MPH toys and the items needed to make the gimmick, you have a great piece of magic
to add to your show for under $80. That's tough to beat!

I think this will play really well on stage, there is a such hook for the audience, great routine.
Great conclusion.
I love the fact this has got me thinking of how else to reveal MPH.
I have to say however, i personally would never do the close up version. Way to risky.
If you work the stage you will love this.
Some will say this is priced too high
for a download, however this is probably too cheap. This is a well thought out routine and you can
tell it has been worked. There is real life performance footage which is refreshing. For me its time
to explore even more possibilities.

There's been some confusion about what you're paying for with M.P.H., so let me try to clarify. As
with most effects, what you're paying for is the reaction of your audience. Many, many tricks seem
different or even disappointing once you know the secret -- which is why we don't share the secret
with spectators. Some people who have purchased M.P.H. have apparently been disappointed with the
secret, but they're not considering the perception of an audience that doesn't also know it.
What your audience will perceive is that you predicted the configuration of a Mr Potato Head
doll from among more than 360,000 possibilities. At no relevant point during the routine will you
touch either the spectator's doll or the prediction. Your prediction can be in the form of a second
doll, a small drawing, a large drawing, an image on your phone or social media, or whatever you
want. It's analogous to the spectator selecting a playing card, and then you revealing your
prediction as a duplicate card, a tattoo, a huge sheet with "7H" painted on it, or whatever reveal
you want.
The trailer shows one way of presenting the reveal, and Josh discusses this and
other ways. What has thrown some people off is making too many assumptions from the trailer that
weren't actually stated. It's difficult to address this too directly without tipping the method,
but suffice it to say this: It's true that you can't always achieve the exact type of reveal shown
in the trailer, but if that's the case you will still achieve a different type of reveal that will
be equally impressive to your audience. It's not even entirely fair to call the reveal in the
trailer a best-case scenario, since your audience doesn't know what might or might not have happened
in the first place.
You receive not only the method and a high-quality instructional video,
but you also get a complete written script (PDF) for a 10-minute stage routine. This is a big
difference between this and other lower-priced downloads for other effects. Josh explains at the
start of the video that he's teaching exactly what he performs in his stage shows.
Try to
remember the first time you saw a performance of a coin vanish, or the Invisible Deck, or a
metamorphosis box -- before you knew the secret. You were probably stunned. If those secrets
weren't as widely known today as they are, wouldn't you pay $45 to learn them and receive a full
script to perform them? In other words, wouldn't you pay to make your audience feel the way you did
the first time you saw those effects?
With M.P.H., you're buying the ability to make your
audience believe you predicted one of more than 360,000 choices, and you're compensating the creator
of the effect for developing and sharing that ability.

I really like this effect.
MDH is a real little beauty. Once you pick yourself up a mr
Potato head and follow Joshua's instructions on how to get it "Performance ready" you're pretty much
good to go. It's a no brainer from here.
I had a couple of questions for Joshua before I
performed it, emailed him yesterday and he got back to me inside 24 hours with some answers for me.
MDH is colourful, creative and fun.
Add to cart.

Joshua Jordan's debut marketed effect is a great one. The video is well produced and the well
organized. He explains the effect and the method, but does not get too much into presentation, in
that he does not say, "THIS is how you must do the reveal." At first, I was disgruntled, but after
some thought, this is a great way to market an effect. However you decide to do the reveal, it will
be unique to you. He gives you several ways he has done it as an outline. This way necessitates
the magician to have some creativity. He includes his script for the effect, which is sound with
built in laughs. I would have like to heard about the response from the audience member after
reveal and after the show.
The method is very creative and will necessitate a trip to Home
Depot or Walmart for supplies, plus Mr. Potato Head(s). After getting the supplies and routining
for my style, it will go into my show. I lecture to nurses, doctors and universities and the
by-play of anatomy only is great.
I look forward to more effects from Joshua Jordan. This
effect shows his creativity, his humor, and personality well. If you want a unique prediction, this
effect is solid.

I saw a guy at the magic castle do this last month and I immediately began scouring the internet for
it. I couldn't find it and started asking some friends about it (thinking that it wasn't public). I
ended up buying it off a friend and found out later it was sold on Penguin, so I had to leave a
review. This trick is AWESOME!!!! They are basically giving you 10 minutes of live stage performance
that you can verbatim put in your show right away. The script that is included is funny and magical.
This would work great for a serious mentalist or a comedy magician. I don't normally take the time
to leave reviews but this was worth it.

you. It includes a detailed video with lots of info

This is very good.
I'll be to the point, I can't see many negatives. I wouldn't use this as
a staple in my show, I would use this if my baggage got lost and I did not have anything, this would
be a FANTASTIC trick to have for that.
He teaches a very clever [redacted] from Chester
Sass but he never explains when its used, so you don't know if it's [redacted]..
Anyways,
the method is clever, nothing amazing but practical. Buy it.

Few and far between will you come across something that so many people in the world can relate to
and that is practical as well: MPH is one of those tricks! Its a trick that breaks you from the
chains of knuckle busting sleights and big box stage props, the reveals is limited to your
imagination, and best of all presentation opens up a door to a whole new world. Its literally a
trick that lets you focus on your magic. DVD and teaching quality is top notch. The script pdf you
get as well is a thought out step by step guide. Highly recommended! This is magic on the greatest
level.
