The secret move is brilliant once it clicks. I love this matrix.

No disrespect to Dean, as he is awesome. But his pickup move is a little jaanky
for my taste.
The camera angles were terrible in this video, so the move was
telegraphed. He did execute his
move flawlesssly, but again, the video angles
were telegraphing every move.
But, having
said that, the BACKFIRE portion of the video makes this well worth
the price of the download.
I personally believe the pinch pickup, coupled with the coin slide taught in
Bobo's Modern
Coin Magic, makes for a much more flawless matrix, as you
can pick up the coin with the card,
and show both sides of the card, without
exposing the coin. It is just more fluent.
I gave
this effect four stars due to camera angles, not because of the effect.
Get this, as it is well
worth the price!

In the hands of Dean Dill this is a Killer...like any good magical presentation, it only looks great
when the moves become natural, after enough practice. Without giving away the routine Dean teaches a
way to pick up a coin that I have found difficult to master....but I have not spent hours working on
it. I have followed his video teaching, and it is just not as simple as when he does it. The move is
not a knuckle buster but takes a knack. When that move is mastered it is a great looking matrix.
I love this version of the matrix. Nice and clear instructions with both phases of the routine.
I have always been fascinated by the matrix routine, and this effect adds another great layer.
You do need a close-up mat of some kind, and you do need to practice the core move for a few hours
in order to really nail it. But when you do, it looks super clean from all angles and no one
suspects a thing.
My first matrix. Great move, really, really smart routines, love that you can get half way through
the routine and switch right into the backfire version. Clean handling with built in misdirection.
Also love Dean's coins, silk and glass, which is my absolute favorite coins across routine if you're
working on a table.
