So refreshing to have a 'card trick' that has no secret moves or sleights, so you can focus 100% on
your performance. NOTE: I'd consider this trick more of an IMPOSSIBLE PUZZLE...but that's not a bad
thing. Just means you're going to leave people thinking...trying to wrap their heads around what
they just saw.

I have alot of fun with this.
A real close-up illusion in packet card form.
Cards are
laminated & sturdy, will last a long time.
2 sequences which build upon each other with a great
finish.
Almost self-working with no "sleights" to speak of, you just need to follow the correct
procedure.
Even while doing it the first few times, I was fooling myself, not sure exactly
how/why it was working.
A nice visual change from the usual card, coin, etc. magic.

Perfect pocket trick. Carry it with me all the time.
I do a little story about the old days of
stage illusions, and offer
This up as a modern version.
I named my assistant Esmeralda :)
Great stuff-you will use it all the time....

This is a very cool packet trick, that is easy and fun to do and makes you look like you are doing a
lot more slight of hand than you really are.
I like the fact that it is actually a card
trick but it does not feel like one, so it can serve as a break in a card magic performance.
The cards glide very well for this effect. In the original performance by Astor, he performs with
the cards horizontally. I modified the moves so that the cards are shown to the audience (in front
of you) in a vertical format. That makes more sense for me and the audience can follow it easier.
I call this effect "Lady in Red' for obvious reasons. The second phase is very deceiving and
well-designed. Very clever effect. Recommended.
2 phase cut up an assistant routine in close up mode. Great idea, great looking cards and with
practice, easy to do. Can’t really spread out the cards on a regular table or surface. You’d need
the texture of a close up mat, which most of us would have anyway. I’m excited to finally start
doing this in my upcoming virtual shows.
The effect is nice and method should be a fooler to your average muggle. The cards, however, are a
big disappointment. On the teaching video, Rick Lax spreads the cards on various surfaces. If my
cards spread like that, I'd be very happy. However, my two sets of cards spread like each one is
coated with roughing fluid - which is not actually used in this trick. However, the are far too
sticky to work with. I will attempt to buff or treat them to improve things. I might even end up
laminating them. I'll find some way to make it work. I like this effect and it is worth the effort.
A NO sleights mix up and magical reordering of cards. everything is built in to the routining. it
won't be the trick to get you convention bookings, but I gave it 5 stars because its fast and easy,
and if the spectator is paying attention, it will appear to be quite amazing. ie, it is as
advertised, and comes across as promised
