If you're like me, when you first started out in magic you saw someone perform a routine that just
blew you away. Then you practiced until you could perform the routine too, only to go out and
perform it for others and find that the routine or trick didn't move them like it moved you.
Dan does a brilliant job of explaining how you can get the biggest reeactions out of the effects
you show your friends, and how to leave audiences that you perform for remembering your show for
years to come.
This lesson can even help you find your personal style if your magic
persona has an identity crisis.
The pros already know how important having a vast
knowledge of how to plan a magic or mentalism show is, and the content in this video and book are
worth far more than the asking price.

If you're aiming performing for real, this video and supporting pamphlet are pure gold. The dollars
you spend here will shorten your trip to your first performance, aim you toward being as effective
as you hope to be, and pay a return on your investment several times over. I imagine that many
magicians who already perform regularly can learn some valuabl lessons here. Thank you, Dan.

I have almost all of the Tarbell lessons Dan Harlan has done so far, and I've never reviewed any
until now. This one is worth a mention because it stands out. This is a lesson worth many times more
than its cost. This lesson has some of the best routining advice you'll find anywhere. Harlan knows
magic and he knows theater, and magic is theater of a special sort. There's a big difference between
being able to do some great, jaw-dropping magic tricks and being able to do a professional-looking
magic show. If you've never put a show together, this is where you can easily start to learn how to
do so. If you know some good tricks and you're thinking of doing shows for money, get this lesson
and watch it carefully.

The price for the PDF file should be more than what's being charged. This is a lesson I've already
gone through a couple of times and it hasn't even been out 24 hours. I've already started utilizing
the structure to create a more rounded interesting show.

I have loved these videos by Dan. His ability to find new ways to make old tricks applicable is
nothing less than genius.
In this lecture, Dan has outdone himself. Anyone who listen's
carefully, reads carefully (a set of Dan's lecture nots is included), and actually takes action with
what they have learned cannot help but get much, much better as a performer.
This is worth much
more that the price of the video. Every single reader should sell what they have and buy this
lecture. This is said often, rarely true, but this lecture has the ability to change your magic,
and yourself forever.
My highest recommendation

This is great information and guidance about magic in theory and practice.
As a magician
you will come to a piont where you know enough "WTF?!" and "how does that even happen?" effects that
gets a good reactions from audiences. this is when you should start thinking about being able to
perform some of these pieces as a set.
This lecture will teach you the fundamentals of
making a performance entertaining alongside tips on scripting etc.
You will also get help
picking out and personalize the rigth effects and organizing your "needs".
Along with the
please you audience lecture (With Michael Ammar) this is one of the most enligthening tarbell
lectures. Dan Harlan is good at teaching, and you can tell he put alot of thougth into it.
We need more practical knowledge like this...
Just knowing exactly what to say during
an effect really makes a difference...

This is exactly what I needed; brilliant advice on how to use my tricks in the best way possible.
The advice and knowledge I gained from this lecture will most definetly make me a better
performer, more than any trick could do. Finally I know how to use the tricks I know to create a
full magic show.
I am so grateful for this lesson and I really sincerely recommend this
lesson.

This is a very important lesson for all performers. It's about turning tricks into magic and
becoming a showman. Dan tells how to grab and keep an audience's attention, tips on selecting the
effects for your show, and how to put it all together for the maximum effect.
