I love this trick. I went to the Magic Castle and saw a guy do something along those lines and I
was baffled. Mind you magic is 25% trick and 75% presentation, but this is a STRONG 25% to base
your presentation on... AND it's relatively simple.
Oz lays it out well. I'd buy 10 times
over and somewhat upset at myself for not finding this sooner!

This video is an adequate (albeit very brief) tutorial on how to do the basic, classic coin matrix
effect. You've got 4 cards covering 4 coins, and the coins travel until they're all under one of
the cards.
There are just two sleights you need to learn in order to perform this. Neither
is especially difficult, although you might want to start with larger coins to make the moves
easier. And be aware that a good mat is essential for this. The handling just isn't possible on a
table-top, not to mention the fact that on a table-top, the coins would be making some noise when
they're not supposed to be.
For a beginner, this is a good intro to a classic routine that
has spawned countless variations.

...rather hastily explained by Oz, with very little attention to detail, timing, subtlety, or
misdirection. Essentially, this is like having someone show you how a trick is done, without helping
you to master it. Oz doesn't seem to have the maturity and patience of a real teacher yet.

I welcome learning all of "The Matrix" routines possible, as this is a favorite effect of mine. The
teaching in this video was very clear and concise, however, I encourage all magicians performing
such routines to make sure the routine has high visibility under camera conditions. In this case, a
red pad, or other brighter colored pad, and better lighting would improve spectator visibility.
My only other recommendation is that teachers of Matrix routines should turn over ALL of the
cards during their explanation process so there is no doubt as to how the coins are traveling. In
this case, there were a couple of times when I wondered if a coin was picked up or left behind.
I am glad I made the purchase, and the oratory was clear, but I welcome the stated
modifications. Thank you.

A classic of magic. Needs practice, practice, practice... but then you will be ready to amaze people
with this simple and beautiful trick. Find the right coins and cards, and you'll have a sleight of
hand-miracle in your pocket.
This is a classic in Magic for a reason. Even knowing how this is done I still love seeing this one
as it just looks so amazing. As always OZ does a great job teaching it. He teaches it short and
sweet and you can play it back as many times as you need to, to get it down. Well worth learning and
you can't beat it for the price.
Oz does a great job of teaching the matrix. The matrix is a beautiful effect, and a classic that
every magician should be able to perform competently.
I will keep this review very short... GET THIS!
A classic but very cool trick. This is a really good version of the matrix and Oz covers it all in
great detail and teaches at a good pace. Good value for a great routine.
Here is another class trick that's been around for a long time. This is a great coin trick to start
out with if you don't have a lot of coin stuff. I do however have a few problems with it. The first
is that you have to watch the surface that you perform it on, and second, some people tend to figure
out what's going on. I still give it five stars because the first two can be avoided with practice.
If you aren't familiar with this I recommend trying it out.
