This was a great lecture, filled with joy and laughter. Although a lot of the effects explained had
to be bought, there were some good ones that could be great workers. The silk trick was pretty cool.
Had a great time watching this one.

First off, Scott's an amazing talent. His take on the linking rings is fantastic and worth by
itself. I only wanted to warn parents that this lecture is full from beginning to end, with sexual
innuendo and penis jokes, even "F-bombs". Would be rated R (at least PG13) if it was in a theater,
for content and cursing.
Just saying...
That said, the tricks and teaching are
great.

Pros - the ditching of the salt pour gimmick was brilliant. Other uses for Sneaker Juice was nice.
The lazy rope routine has merit too.
Cons - unfunny jokes, forced humor, cheap
shots at other magicians that came across petty and mean spirited (it's the holidays can we have
goodwill and cheerfulness?) Lots of segments dragged on way too long (Steve skit for starters).
Other - Steve saying in the lecture about the importance of interacting with
customers/people yet when I emailed him about something I got a very short somewhat unprofessional
reply back. I guess he was having a bad day and probably not a reflection of his true self?
All that being said I think there are better lectures out there but to be fair there are worse
ones too. If you are on the fence I'd maybe steer clear of this lecture. If you are looking for
something that is not your typical lecture than this lecture might be for you.

I found the lecture a tremendous value. There was something for everyone, at every level and you
would have to pay more just for the egg bag section. (I did, come to think of it.) Magic
instruction aside, it's a solid three hours of entertainment! (I allowed a bit for down time.)
Thank you, Penguin Magic, for this outstanding lecture! It reminded me of Dave Williamson's
midnight lectures back around the turn of the century (except this one taught a bit more magic).
This was also the second longest magic lecture I've ever attended.
Thank you, Scott, for
continuing to be one of the most entertaining and inventive performers around that never won AGT. I
knew you back in the old country, before you emigrated to Las Vegas. It's good to see the only
things that have changed are your name and hair.

Scott Alexander is an outstanding working pro. Together, he and Dan are quite fun to watch (if you
don't mind the occasional mildly blue humor).
There are three routines that I will use,
Scott's take on the sugar pour (salt pour), his egg bag work, and his Lazy Magician. In the past, I
have purchased a good number of Scott's DVDs, and some of this is repetitive. It's not the
repetition that I mind, as material is updated; it's that he teaches so much that I had paid for in
the past and would like to have been more closely guarded.
But if you want great stuff, buy
it.

What a great lecture! This is my second Scott Alexander lecture, and I'm really happy with my
purchase. Every lecture he shows great magic that I want to use in my shows. In this one there's a
great pop silk production, and a fabulous Himber ring routine. There were many more great ideas but
those two were my favorite. There were a bunch of hilarious songs too, I really had a good time for
3.5 hrs! I look forward to seeing more Scott Alexander lectures in the future!

What can I say? Great show, great stuff and good inspiration for my magic. Dan and Scott are so
funny togheter, hope I will able to watch Scott Alexander Live 4 next Christmas

I like Scott Alexander very much. I rated 5 stars his first lecture. In my opinion, the very best
lecture on penguin live so far. Unfortunately, the second and third were not the same at all. This
one was no bad, but too much songs and a lack of magic to some extent. I was particularly
dissapointed for two reasons: He was supposed to explain Super Fly and some bill in lemon stuff, but
no lemon at all and no explanation for super fly. I was interested in buying this one in case I
liked it, but now I prefer not to buy as I do not know if it,s worth 30 bucks. Hopefully next year
will be better.

It was a party. I give Dan and Scott a lot of credit for putting this all together. It was a live
show!!! I mean, they had to write songs, put together magic, do a lecture, do parodies, answer
questions, clean the stage, make it flow properly and keep it moving. It was just like the old days
of TV when it was all live. I agree that they didn't need some of the language especially since I
saw some kids in the audience at the event but it was for adults. However,I felt that it went so
fast and was still packed with information that was brilliant! They must have been exhausted at the
end of this show. I can't believe how much stuff they did on this special. Network TV doesn't do
this much stuff! Terrific! This was way more than a lecture. I know some might not care for all the
extra stuff they did but I thought it was fun. I was laughing out loud at all the bits and jokes.
Bravo! Thanks a lot!

A great presentation of the classics. A true lesson on the art of entertainment. It's up to us (as
magicians) to create the magical moment. When Scott performs, you see a polished and professional
entertainer. His advice is based on years of practical performance experience. Behind the casual
skits and parodies, any performer should take note of the polished stage presence of Scott
Alexander. Thanks Scott, great advice for those who really want it.
