I don't know if you can really "learn" the classic force in a video as short as this one. If you
consider this to be a mere introduction to the classic force intended for a beginner, then I would
say this is a good start. It lays out exactly what the classic force is, and explains the basic
mechanics of it.
What it doesn't explain is, why you'd want to use it. The obvious
short-coming is that it doesn't work 100% of the time. In fact, as you're learning it, it'll hardly
work at all. And it's one of the few techniques that you really can't practice by yourself. Even
using a partner is problematic, because all you'll end up learning is the timing specific to THAT
person. This requires real world practice, and you're going to need plenty of contingency plans to
cover all the times you miss.
My own personal bias is that there are other forces that are
deceptive enough that are 100% effective. Some will argue that this is the most deceptive, but look
at it this way: the spectator who recognizes a riffle force or a slip cut force, is the same
spectator who will recognize your attempt at a classic force and purposely screw you up by taking a
card he knows you're not trying to force. So who are we trying to fool with a classic force? My
belief is that this is strictly an ego move. Card guys love the difficulty and they love "putting
one over" on the spectator. If that's your thing, great. But don't think that it makes your
effects any better.

This is definitely worth the six bucks. even if you went and looked this up on you tube like i did
at first, chances are that the guy from you tube didn't know what he was talking about. Oz Pearlman
does an excellent job at explaining the force. the force itself is really solid. my recommendation
is that once you learn the force, try and do it every time you do card magic, even if you dont need
to force a card, do it for practice and you will have it really quickly. even if you aren't that
into cards i think you need to know this because if you are really good at the force it can become a
trik in itself.

You're eventually going to want to stray away from the riffle or slip force and learn this one. This
is the most natural of all card forces. Just spread the cards and let them take one.
It
will take practice but the more you try it, the better you will be. Unfortunately it will never ever
work 100% because if you try it on a sceptical person they'll likely just want to grab a card from
the top or bottom of the pile.
Having said this, as you improve, you'll be able to tell
which spectators to try it on and after a while you'll be getting it every time.

If you call yourself a card magician, then you have to know this force. It will require a LOT of
practice, and even then, it won't work 100% of the time. However, this will be your workhorse of
forces. If you are unable to force it, then just go into a different card trick. I can't stress
enough the importance of knowing this force. Oz does a good job at teaching the basics. If you
want something a little more detailed, then you may want to get the Classic Force by Paul Green.

this is a classic in magic. if you dont know it, you need to. if you purchase here you will get a
great explanation with helpful applications in real everyday magic. This is a tool, not a trick in
and of itself.
Good tool, add to cart

The reason why I first got into card magic was that my friend made the Classic Force on me and it
blew my mind. I just HAD to learn it.
It is a bit hard to master but when you finally get
it down.. well.. amazing. Simply amazing.

This is a good instructional on the classic force that I purchased years ago. Most of the nuances I
have seen before. I still have a hard time having confidence with this, but most of the time when I
have to do something spontaneously I just bail out and use a force with which I am comfortable. One
of the reviewers gave very good practice planning advice, which is to have a few tricks you are
confident with that don't require a Force, and use those to practice your classic Force! I recommend
this disc for those like me that would like to get as much instruction on this move as they can
I looked for it since some time ago, but I didn't find it. This is a very good force, probably the
best one.
I have liked all of the Penguin instructional videos I have purchased so far. This one is a real
let-down. At only 5-1/2 minutes, it barely describes anything anyone would already figure out for
themselves -- spread the cards and time your motions as best you can -- $6.00 for that? It mentions
spectator psychology and management but doesn't teach anything about it. It does teach a couple of
outs if things don't go well. My advice: spend the money on a more complete instructional piece.
You'll end up doing that anyhow.
GREAT..Download!!!!I would tell you to LEARN-IT!!!!
