The Butter Coin is a great concept. A lot of us are familiar with the folding coin or flipper coin but who wants to carry around a whole bunch of gimmicked coins all the time. With this coin you will only need to carry one. The quality of the coin is actually pretty good, so it will last you a long time. Like all gimmicks though, they will eventually have to be replaced once they are used for a long time. If you are tired of tying to decide what coin to bring, get this one and you can have it all.

While it is quite versatile, and the dvd gives some good methods and instructions; the gmmick is pretty noticeable. When I first tried to use it, my 7 year old asked why one of the coins had a crack in it. This was with the coin just sitting on the table.

Yes, it almost replaces 3 coins (Folder, Flipper, Erasure/Rub Away), but not sufficiently that you won't still want to have them if you consider yourself a serious coin worker. It definitely can not replace the Folder for the most of what are considered the classic effects. It is an OK utility item if you are trying to pack light and it was definitely designed with form and function in mind to address some of the limitations of the 3, however winds up having some of its own. Do not buy this because of the Cover Picture - if the Butter Coin is indeed being displayed, it is not being used as a fake. For that kind of display, you still need a Flipper and frankly the Flipper will stand a lot more scrutiny in a coins through glass table or visible coins across.

This is a solid, well made coin that has several purposes. It accomplishes things that you would normally need a shell or goshman pinch hands of steel to accomplish. ADD to cart to get the most visual coin through glass table ever!

Stoned Magician here... I feel it's very worth the money. The coin fekes I use are Butter Coin, Expanded Shell, Super Expanded Shell, Cig Thru Coin, Hook Coin, & I use to use a flipper. I had one for 2 years and decided to toss it on Ebay cuz this Butter Coin is MORE practical... And allowed me to do Coin Bite again... The NORMAL Coin Bites dont work well. Never did for me.

The coin is great and fools people every time. The only reason I left a star out is because you have to switch the coin for it to be safely examined. You also need more than 1 half dollar to do many of the other tricks. But overall this is a great coin and the dvd teaches many different methods. Get this!

Strong routines and very practical prop to have in your pocket. I couldn't disagree more with the person that said the gimmick is noticeable. What this tells me is that this person simply didn't have the gimmick tight so that it's flush. I can't say anymore without exposing the secret, but I will stress the fact that it's virtually impossible to see any indication of a gimmick if you set it up correctly. And it's simple to use.

This is the best coin through the table I've ever seen.

This is so convincing people just freak and don't know what to say. No one has ever figured this one out.

I watched the DVD when I first got it and was just blown away by the effect, I really thought the coin was actually going through the table thats how real this looks. this was my best purchase so far on Penguin.

Wow. This has to be one if not THE Coolest coin effect I have ever got. Not only is this effect amazing its realy not that hard to learn. I do Alotof coin tricks and I used to use a bite away quarter and a flipper coin. The Butter coin blows them both away. It is cleaner, and larger than a bite away quarter and is easyer and smother than my flipper coin. Buy It Now!
