This is a two-phase routine. The first is a prediction of what the spectator played in a game of
rock-paper-scissors. The second is a prediction of which of five picture billets was selected. So
in essence, if the mentalist succeeds in both phases, the odds appear to be 1 out of 15, pretty
impressive for predictions.
Phase one relies entirely on a subtlety a la Banachek--or
perhaps Jon Thompson. It's not surefire, but DiBiase says that he has gotten it to work 90% of the
time. I think that he's probably correct. I'd take those odds. Because even if it fails...
Phase two is 100% surefire but will take some work because unless you are lucky, you are going
to have to do a move twice. It's fairly standard and not difficult, but I'd categorize it as
"intermediate" level.
This is new wave plus old school--and nothing really original. But
what I like the best is the ability to play this off as being able to use subliminal suggestion (or,
I suppose, NLP). With some showmanship, I think that you can have spectators completely believe
that type of pseudo-explanation.
DiBiase's teaching is good. There's really not much to
teach. Cut the billets, draw the pictures on them, write the two predictions, work on the move, and
do your best Derren Brown impression. It's a nice little close-up routine--and easily worth the
$9.95 if you are willing to work at it. I'll most likely use it soon.

I really like the ideas presented, but I personally feel that the first phase not being 100% is a
downfall,
I understand that as a mentalist we take these gambles for the bigger picture, but I
feel the pay off on this isn't worth the gamble (i,e i rather use my gamble time of the show on
something much larger).
Personally, I think with a little tweaking, the first phase can be
a sure hit 100% of the time, but this is down to slight wording changes and presentation.
the second phase is great though, and worth it for the utility of the piece.
Overall,
I think it's worth picking up just for the second phase, as its a utility which can be used for
multiple routines.

I have bought, out of curiosity, Rock, Paper, Lies and The Subliminal Game both by Jay Di Biase and
I am amazed about how strong these two effects are. I, personally, don't perform much mentalism but
as soon as I learned these two effects I wanted to give them a try and I have to say that I got
great reactions from the spectators! I very much like to present the first phase of "The Subliminal
Game", when I have watched the trailer I could not understand how it would work but then after
watching the explanation I was very impressed. I love easy effects like these that do not use any
complicate stuff, once you learn them you are always ready to amaze. In Torino in 2015 I was lucky
to see one of Jay's next release and I can't wait to study his next creations. I recommend you to
keep an eye on him!!!

OK... This suggestion plot is an audience pleaser. The specs are always intrigued and are delighted
when the Mentalist gets to share something with them, especially something that WORKS. And this
does. I'm a firm believer in what Jay says about belief. And that might be the key here.
Impromptu, easy, prop-less, involving the spectator fully, AND offering some untapped potential
(I'm thinking... readings with the outcome of the second phase, among other possibilities)... What
else?
Thank you Jay and keep it coming! FIVE STARS!
It's amazing!!! The first phase in my opinion 9 out of 10 times will be correct. It's copmpletely
impromptu, something that i like because you don't have to carry any props with you.The only thing
that you need to find is a piece of paper and a pen to write your prediction. If you want to do this
phase infront of a croud, you should be a little careful because one of the 2 sneaky moves must be
done very casually because you don't want anyone to realize that this was not a casual move. The
second phase is also very strong with a very simple move done twice.Sometimes the spectator might
choose the thing that you want and you will don't use the ''move''because the effect will be ready
for the revelation of your prediction.I am very happy with this purchase!!!
I recently had the chance to take a look at Jay Di Biase's Subliminal Game. I like the way that real
psychological influence is used in conjuction with clever fail-proof methods to create a very
convincing demonstration of Subliminal Influence. The combination of methods is quite good in my
opinion and there is one move that I know I will be practicing. It is very well executed and very
useful for other effects as well.
It's impossible not to express gratitude for the great JAYDI BIASE the creator of this beautiful
double effect of PURE MENTALISM !!! THE SUBLIMINAL GAME is a double routines with multiple endless
and presentation. This is the confirmation that a mind like that of the creator of ROCK PAPER LIES
we can only wait for great effects. You are great Jay continues please ..... wait for the next
masterpiece to add to my repertoire.
Excellent effect! The price of the package is worth it just for the explanation of the working
method, a utility move that has multiple applications. The basics of an introductory effect are
included. Molto, molto bené!
mmediate effect with a mix of innovative techniques that lead to a high impact on the audience.
Maybe not easy but very effective even for the possible way ou
