This is a great effect and a great idea, but, it isn't the greatest for close up. When in box form
there is a slight discrepancy on the box, but laymen don't really know what a box is supposed to
look like so they don't really care. In card form there is also a slight discrepancy but do to the
busy design of a bicycle card, it isn't really noticeable. My only complaint is noise. My gimmick
squeaks when it turns from box to card and creaks when it turns from card to box, but this is a
minor problem because with a little ambient noise you'll be covered. And I don't know, maybe it's
just my gimmick that makes noise, Shins didn't seem to so yeah. All in all it's an amazing effect
and I would highly recommend you check it out.

I thought I was buying the gimmick itself, or the ability to perform the illusion out of the box.
What I got were some instructions, the need for me to provide expensive materials that are destroyed
if you make a mistake constructing Gone Deck.
The video teaching the construction was not as
thorough in some of the critical places as it needed to be, thus wasting some of the work and
materials I had already created in the construction of the Gone Deck. Shin Lim has obviously crafted
a number of these before, and is good at making it on the video. I'm not so good at it. I took two
or three swipes at it, ran out of materials and nowhere did my best construction come anywhere close
to working the way his does, or even how it is supposed to work, or looking like the one that was
constructed in the video. Furthermore, using glue that permanently sets makes many of the mistakes
that might happen require a complete "re-do" requiring more of the materials.
It would have
helped if they provided the materials to make three and already had one of the more difficult tasks
done for you (I'd be more specific, but I want to honor the secrecy). Finally the tension of a
particular step is variable, and, despite following the instructions exactly, there wasn't enough
tension prior to me permanently gluing it to make it work.

Arts and crafts should be left for a classroom, not 'magic' and not at this price!!! An utter and
complete waste of money and time...yuck!!!

One hour video - with only 5 minutes devoted to "how to use" the rest of the video is all labor
intensive gimmick constriction. No live performances or tips for performing. Great trick though,
highly visual. Would work great for your video or youtube channel

This is a very incredible. Basically you receive the template gimmick and you can apply your own box
to the gimmick very easily. You probably want to make sure though that you have some extra prym
elastic thread in case you run out of the amount that they have given you. But apart form that
everything is great!

The effect itself is great, but it won't necessarily work for very close up performances. Be
prepared and take your time with the construction, if it is made well then it will work well.
This will fit great into a manipulation routine if you can deal get it on top of the deck.
I would recommend this only if you are really willing to put in the time to construct a high
quality gimmick.

This is absolute garbage. I am not a new magician and I understand that it is important to learn
about Your gimmick before you attempt to use it. I watched the entire training video before I ever
attempted anything with my gimmick. I understood the proper handling and how to get the gimmick
ready to perform. Although I took all the proper precautions as soon as I used the gimmick it broke.
I love the concept of this gimmick and I believe that with a little more work they might be able to
build a version that will work the way it is supposed to. They Supply you with material that you can
use to fix your gimmick when it breaks but the more times you fix the gimmick the more noticeable
the gimmick will be. I never even got a chance to perform this for anyone. I would strongly
recommend buying Cold Case by Greg Wilson instead. Cold Case by Greg Wilson is extremely durable you
can customize it so that it will work with any brand of cards.

Like other purchasers, I thought that I was buying the gimmick itself, or, as someone else says, at
least the ability to perform the illusion out of the box. On a plus note, the box it comes in is
very nice :(

this is great but it can only be done under certain conditions - you need some background sound if
you do it Shin's way and lighting or distance but what you get is worth the money if you are
interested in video performances of stage performances - let us not forget that this is what kind of
magician Shin is after all so naturally his tricks are meant for such performances.
This effect, when done correctly, truly looks like magic. I purchased this at a local magic store,
and the first time, I did my gone deck wrong, so I had to make a new template completely from
scratch. Yes, there is plenty of arts and crafts, but luckily for me, it wasn't as difficult as I
thought. I have already made a couple, and I use them so much.
Pros
-Extremely visual
-Versatile gimmick
Cons
-Arts and crafts is hard for some people.
This is
great, but why 4/5? This is because for some, arts and crafts comes very difficultly, and with only
one provided template, if they mess up, most people are done and must buy another one. If that
happens to you, play around with gluing cards in weird orientations and placements and it shouldn't
be too hard.
