This is a nice trick but the quality of the item unfortunately suffers. This is a great trick for
kids and they probably won't figure it out if you perform it right. I find it works well that
instead of making them vanish from the box, I do the secret without them seeing and pretend to dump
them into to little bag. Then I show the box empty so they assume they are all in the bag. That way
I can make them vanish from the bag and I can clearly show it empty after.

This is a good companion for the coloring book. I have not had a problem with the noise others
complained about in thier reviews. The forum and videos are worth the extra bucks vs making your own
for people that need hints for creative presentation. Younger children enjoy it. Older children
will bust you.

I brought this simply to discover what the secret behind it was. It's actually ingenius and I've
gone on to develop my own version of this trick but with cigarettes in a cigarette box. I think
Penguin should release a 'Vanishing cigarettes' effect!

this is a nice gimmick that goes very well with magic coloring book, or any kids show really. the
only down side is that it can be too small to see from the back of the audience. very easy to use
and visual

This is simply a bad effect. In concept, being able to show a box of crayons, cover it for just a
second, and have them ALL vanish sounds fantastic.
However, this just has too many cons
about it.
Pros:
-Effective in the VERY right conditions.
Cons:
-VERY loud and when they vanish, EVERYONE will know.
-MUST be covered for the vanish to
work.
-SUPER cheap quality.
-100% NOT worth 10 dollars, as you can make one for
less than 1$.
I really, really, REALLY don't recommend this effect and there is a
reason why Penguin doesn't either.
I don't understand why this item isn't recommended. There's nothing wrong with the secret or the
product. It isn't examinable, but of course, when do you let kids examine your props at a party?
This trick doesn't have to be close-up if you're not magical enough to make it work. It can be used
as platform/parlour magic.
I thought the secret was ingenious. Yes, sometimes it can make a
noise, but there are several ways to hide it. You can slap the box, slam it down on top of the
coloring book, or even yell "PRESTO!" No big deal. Heck, the kids themselves can cover the gimmick
from talking. They can all count real loud or they may be loud already. If you perform to music
there wouldn't be any problem. Even still, the noise is not even that loud.
I like to
enhance the effect by sticking my finger in the box and showing them it's empty; even pushing my
finger out the front window.
This is a great trick that really works for a cheap price.
I've had no problems with it. It is worth picking up. Go ahead.
This magic trick is one of my favorites i do it in all my magic show along with the magic coloring
book. Yo should get it it is wicked awesome order it now you won't regret it.
I have done a number of Kids shows with these crayons and have had no problem at all. The Crayons
are not going to pass very close inspection but then again alot of tricks for stage don't. The flaws
are few and the added bonus it gives to my Magic Coloring Book routine is great.
This is a horrible excuse for the original crayons in the picture "Rose Art" Crayons.... They look
cheap, feel cheap, and are cheap! As someone stated earlier, this is indeed false advertisement. I
am very disappointed as a first time user of Penguin Magic. If this is the best it is, then forget
it!!!!!
I honestly dont like it.. not even all that great of a trick for kids shows. The handkerchief, as
mentioned by Oz, does help with the effect, but its not examinable, and you may need to say
something a bit 'loud?' the moment you make it vanish. Don't want to say much more or ill spoil it,
but I do not recommend this trick.
