This is going to be my new go-to trick when someone asks me to perform for them. It was a beautiful
line between appearing magical, and impossibly skillful. It does require a some sleights, but
nothing too knuckle busting. If you have zero experience with the required moves, you can probably
become proficient in them with 30 minutes of work a day for two weeks. Gordon does an excellent job
of slowly and clearly explaining each sleight required. On top of everything else, it feels magical
when you can consistently cut to the aces. It's one of those rare tricks that is as fun to perform
as it is to watch.

Would I like to do this without any effort? Yes. Is this worth the effort to learn? YES! Paul
Gordon has produced one of the best teaching videos there is in the field. Card work is sometimes
tough to illustrate and explain - even on video. This is one of those tough situations which is
overcome by just how good a TEACHER this magician is. If you have decent hands you'll be doing this
trick in a couple of days. Everything you are taught has applications in many other tricks you're
already doing. A great false cut and superior shuffle info is taught here. The effect is mind
numbing and surefire. I like this magician and respect his work and I'll buy anything he produces
in the future just based on the depth and quality of the instruction. High def footage helps here
too and he did it right. Thank you for excellence Paul.

This is all fairly familiar if you have an extensive library, but these ideas are put together in a
tight and simple utterly impromptu routine. You can tell by watching the demo whether you have the
skills to do it, since Paul is basically doing exactly what he says he's doing (with a little
blurring of the term "exactly"). If you can do even a partial faro, you can do this, totally
impromptu, and it's pretty impressive.
If you can attempt to make it through the day
without squandering a 10 dollar bill, use it to by the download, take 15 minutes to watch it, and
you've got yourself a killer ace cutting routine with no funny business. The spectators have just
seen you truly cut the aces from a shuffled and squared deck with no marks or crimps.

Paul Gordon always surprises me. Not only is his magic kick ass strong (as is this Pro Aces), his
teaching is excellent. I loved the Penguin Live lecture he did and this is icing on the
already-beautiful cake. IT'S A WORKER!

I like 4 ace routines.Pro aces is one of my favorite routines.I really like it.It's not a difficult
routine but it's not so easy. This routine requires sleight of hand and high quality presentation. If
you are self confident, you can buy this trick.I recommend it.
Teaching is great.I do not even
have to say this.Paul Gordon is great magician. He's very experienced.
There is not much to say.I
liked it very much.If you are a MAGICIAN (not according to the amateurs) who likes ace routines, I
would recommend.
Thank you Paul Gordon...

I'm quite lazy about contributing here at Penguin. But after seeing some poor reviews here I had to
come out and say this is a fantastic routine.
I am in no way a card pro, and I have
difficulty with knuckle busting slights. This routine is simple and refreshing. Look at the promo
video, what you see is exactly what you get. There is no questionable video editing that may leave
out some flaw like some recent purchases I have regretted. No arts and crafts project here. Grab a
deck and go.
Paul's handling makes it easy to be successful with minimal practice. No,
its not self working, but its not far off. I did watch the video the whole way through without
touching cards and I was like... this will never work. Then the second time through I tried along
and it started to sink in and I was cutting to aces and really surprising myself in the process.
Anyone having an issue with this routine, post in the private forums with your exact issues
and I'm sure we can all help out. I can't see why anyone would have an issue performing this. Well
done Paul!

I have been wanting to produce the Aces magically before I do Twisting the Aces. Although I do not
do all of the moves in this routine, with this routine all you have to do is execute them at the
most basic level, and you have an effect that is well thought out and baffling to the layman. I am
confident that once I take the rust off, I will be able to do this smoothly and effectively. The
last production is new to me, but I felt Paul gave a good explanation of it and the entire routine,
although I feel that novices to the respective sleights will need more basic instruction. Very
happy with my purchase, and plan to start producing the aces.

Pro Aces fills that spot between easy and knuckle-busting. The slights aren't not hard but they do
take some practice. The overall effect is well worth it - it's the kind of trick that audiences
immediately understand, even those that don't like to be fooled.
Gordon's teaching is very
clear and engaging, even when demonstrating a move that isn't the easiest to explain. This
definitely makes me want to explore more of his work.
Since downloading, I've been going
over this trick repeatedly because it's also really fun to do. What more could you ask for?

Watching the performance for the first time was the most daunting experience I’ve had yet with
Penguin Magic, but the effect plays so beautifully I had to take a chance on it. Mr. Gordon teaches
the entire routine with ease, grace, and humor, and with the exception of the final production
flourish I somehow managed to pick up everything painlessly. (Granted, I spent weeks figuring out
the faro shuffle about a year ago, so the straddle faro needed here didn’t stand in my way). The
first time I cut to all four aces I couldn’t believe it—I actually fooled myself! That’s what makes
the effect so phenomenal, IMO: there’s a mathematical principle at the trick’s center that functions
as a kind of secret assistant, and as long as you follow the trick’s parameters re: displaying the
indifferent cards you DIDN’T cut to and then “replacing” them in the deck properly, it works every
time. Bonus: Mr. Gordon demonstrates a fantastic false cut I will always use. Hats off to you.

This is going to be a part of my repertoire, I like effects that pack small and play big ,and this
is one of them . Paul Gordon teaches you step by step and is so thorough that after 2-3 hours of
practice and rewatching I’m getting the hang of it ..I figure I will invest a lot more time in this
effect to make it work just as smooth as he did ,so far I’m getting there
