I have Watkins's hardback version of the book, and without a doubt, it is going to become a classic.
He mixes billets, dual reality, and even some hypnosis to create masterpieces. Lets go over each
effect.
Divine Moment of Truth-
An effect where you talk about how you had a life
changing dream that revealed to you all the secrets of the universe. You wrote the secrets down on a
piece of paper, and kept the paper. You show it to one participants, and they have a genuine
emotional/physical reaction to what was written.
Practicality-10/10, the plot is amazing
Difficulty- 3/10, still pretty easy to do, but probably is the second hardest in the book
to do(due to its mechanical nature)
Impact-10/10, spectators have cried when reading the
message.
Overall-9/10
The Flutter of Black Wings-
Anywhere, anyplace, any
time, you can divine the first 4 digits of a participants bank card.
Practicality-9/10, the
reason I give it a 9, is because people may be uncomfortable about you guessing their credit card
numbers.
Difficulty-1/10, probably the easiest effect in the book to pull off. It is
natural, and to the point mentalism.
Impact-10/10,Imagine if someone told you the first 4
digits of your bank card. It would be pretty impressive.
Overall- 9.7/10.(I want to
clarify, you do NOT peek the card. If they have the number memorized, you can do it without them
pulling the card out to look at it)
Severance-
A billet technique that allows for
instant pre-show. You can reveal information, without it ever seemingly being written down.
Practicality-10/10
Difficulty-2/10, as spectator control might be a problem.
Impact-???. This is meant to be used with other effects as opposed to one effect, but you could
use it alone if you want.
Overall-9/10
Introjection-
Put a spectator into a
trance, and then reveal things about their live theres no way you could know, even things not
written down. Probably my favorite effect in the entire book!
Practicality-8/10, very
practical, but may be considered convoluted to some. I dont think so though.
Difficulty-2/10, might be too bold for some.
Impact-10/10
Overall-8.7/10
When the Sky was Opened-
Have the participant think of a name. Literally steal the name from
their mind. At this point when asked, they have forgot their best friends name. You reveal the name,
whilst putting it back in their head at the same time.
Practicality-10/10, this plot is the
most original I've read in a long time.
Difficulty-3/10, a very hard effect to achieve, but
after practice, the result is amazing!
Impact-10/10
Overall-9/10
*OVERALL BOOK*-10/10
This is a fantastic book, and highly recommend to any
mentalist.

Yesterday i performed a mix between AOK by lewis le val an jhana's divine moment of truth. There was
a moment between a woman and me, that was more than just an effect and the "aha" moment. In the end,
we where sitting at the edge of the stage and it felt like we were all alone in the room. Everyone
was as quiet as possible. I showed her the secret message and her eyes were full of tears, i
whispered something additional to her and gave her a hug and the applause for her was huge. The
moment itself was much bigger than the effect and a perfect ending of my show last night. It needs
little of practice and doesn't play big... it plays huge in the right hands. I will play with the
effects much more to test, how big they can grow. Jhana is a must have for every serious
mentalist...

Jhana contains amazing effects that are so deceptive and relatively EASY to perform. The methods are
ingenious and allow you to create your own unique presentation. Divine moment of truth is my
favorite effect and that alone is worth buying this book. If you love to leave friends, family
members, or spectators speechless, Jhana is a must have. Don't waste money on that gimmick everyone
knows looks suspicious and you probably bought at a magic store, step into the world of Mentalism
and you will never get tired of people asking you "since when do you have these abilities".

There is immense value in learning from the classics. But sometimes the issue is how to apply and
mold the classics. Jhana contains 5 effects so the cost is $10 per effect. The mentalism in this
book combines traditional methods such as billets with boldness. This is not a book for the
beginner. One must be comfortable with the mechanical aspects such as CT's and Billets and peeks.
However, this book allows one to perform as if those mechanical techniques are invisible. This
requires subtleties and extreme confidence (all of mentalism is such). Also, Fraser Parker's
comments are fitting and aid in the material taught. The layout is great in PDF. This is the type of
book you read twice or thrice. (There are elements of pseudo hypnotism involved in the book as well;
however, if you know hypnotism, the effects will be greater).
Overall, if you are an
intermediate mentalist with experience, Jhana will be a worthy investment.

Robert Watkins' brand of mentalism combines traditional techniques with modern subtlety to make for
a very unique experience for both the audience and performer, alike. I particularly enjoyed Jhana a
lot because the material looks and feels propless in performance, but that's only because Watkins
structures each routine to make the necessary items and moves absolutely invisible. Each effect is
so powerful and versatile, it's easy to cater the routines to one's own individual character and
leave a memorable impression upon an audience. This is a really practical blend of methodology;
fans of Annemann and Corinda and/or Fraser Parker and Peter Turner will find significant value in
this book. Highly recommended.

Well... what can I say?! Watkins is brilliant. He is easily a legend in the making. A bold claim I
know, but all it takes is a look at the material in this book to see that he is going to be the next
Osterlind, the next Cassidy, the next Turner, the next mentalism great.
This book is highly
reccomended, especially to any Mentalist looking for deceptive methods to use in their work!
I was not sure about the buy of this book, sorry, E-book: i have had many fear that i get a
disapointed...but my curiosity it was strong too and i defy myself and i discovered a very
Masterpiece.
Thank you Watkins!
