I'm not a frequent user of marked cards. This deck has the great advantage of looking just like a
standard Bicycle deck (the Mandolin will not put off the normal spectator).
The drawback is
that the markings require excellent vision to read. For me, no spring chicken, I have to put too
much attention on the cards, and they have to be too close. The extra "heat" this puts on the deck
makes it difficult for me to use. Younger eyes and bright lighting may make this useful for some.
And this isn't a slam at all. The trick with markings is the tradeoff between easy reading
and the possibility of getting caught.

Beautiful readers - so much more affordable than the other decks and they handle great! But if
you're an old man who wears reading glasses like me - the marks are probably still too small for
you.

I had read the reviews on this deck, and was very impressed until I received it. It is definitely
not a Speed Reader. You can not see the marks quickly at all even in the best of light. I don't
know how Garret Thomas reads these marks. He must have Superman Eyesight, because mine is perfect,
and I have tried, and tried. Plus if you try to do the peek from the right corner you have to read
it upside down as well. Very disappointed, but Garret Thomas is very talented and a great card
man, and he uses it very well.

Five stars if you have good eyesight, one star if you're old and wear glasses. I'm old and wear
glasses.

This packet is perfect. Easy to read and virtually undetectable. I understand the need to show that
this is a different kind of mark deck,But also agree that showing the method on the website is not
great.

Ok before I write my review .. WHY DO THEY EXPOSE THE TRICK ON THE GRAPHIC?! Apparently so anybody
casually browsing for magic decks can instantly see where to look on MY deck to see if it's marked.
That aside, this marking system eliminates the major annoyance I had with Boris Wild - you
need to look in 4 spots to see which card it is. That requires time, which makes it obvious that
you're scanning for a marking on the back.
I love this deck, just hate the exposure.

I'm a big fan of marked decks and this one is one of my favorites. It's VERY easy to read and the
marks are not exactly in the usual place.
This is a very high quality marked deck. This deck is precision made. Shuffles easily and the
markings are clever.
In my opinion, these are the best if you have decent eyesight. Well hidden marks that are easy to
read. The quality of the cards is EXCELLENT! Very easy to shuffle and long lasting.
